Great for User Story Creation and Bug Tracking

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing i like its view ,we can easily organize User Stories ,bugs .With Jira it becomes very easy to manage Project.We can even get various Metrics from Jira . We can collaborate on User stories with Stake holders on User story using Jira . I love it
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not find any thing to dislike in JIRA. It is very good software to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Jira for both Bug Tracking and Project Management.We can collaborate on User stories with Stake holders on User story using Jira . We can easily organize User Stories ,bugs .We can decide on Workflow for Bugs life cycle and configure accordingly.

What do you like best about the product?
It's very helpful to track the bugs and also to see the requirements, see the reports Generate the reports etc
What do you dislike about the product?
The limitation is, you cannot use this to application other platform like visual studio etc
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking the bugs validation of defects, you no need to worry about how many defects you have solved every thing related to your work will be available here

It's very helpful to track the bugs and maintain the defects count that you have solved

Great Product Management tool, it allows to organize your sprints or use it as kaban, depending. on your methodologies and needs
What do you dislike about the product?
It's too slow, and some options are not and intuitive as you would expect

Task ownership and time sheet calculation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Issue types are confusing.
Story points are a great way to estimate a job.

Really great at bug tracking; not awesome for product management

What do you like best about the product?
It took me a few months to get the hang of it and make it work for me and my needs. The reports you can create from it are varied and robust. And it's used widely in tech companies so a lot of people are already familiar with it. I think it also scales really well, so if you have thousands of employees, then it doesn't blink an eye.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't feel that it's terribly intuitive and there's a bit of a learning curve to figure out all its quirks, even at a basic level. To really be able to leverage it's robust reports features, you *really* have to learn a lot about it. And at the end of the day, all the reports in the world are only going to give you what PEOPLE have inputted. It's way too reliant on the human element to be very helpful. So much happens within comments, on the wrong tickets, tickets aren't moved to the right status or even closed, so that the whole system only works if the people are involved are doing the right things. In today's automated world, involving so much of the human element really is terribly inefficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to use it as a project management tool. It's ok. It's not really what it's meant for and it's kinda being forced against its will to give us what we need. But the fact that we didn't have *anything* before, then this is definitely better than nothing. Things are at least organized now.

Very useful issue tracking and updating tool for software development lifecycle

What do you like best about the product?
The application has many cool features for creating and uploading details about the issues for easier understanding and completion of the task by assigning it to particular team individuals or group. The discussions and chat options speed up the activities to be performed hence increasing the productivity of the application, the status can be updated easily even with the use of mobile phone with integrating the software with the outlook application.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support from the team was not so friendly during implementation phase, apart from that the tool setup took not much efforts to configure and integrate APIs and software with it. The proper guide was not there so got help from the community queries.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira application helped in managing issue assignment and tracking of work status for each tasks and issues assigned to employees, the discussion, analysis and other features helped in timely completion of tasks with good results.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jira application platform is very beneficial for easy update and creation of tasks and assigning to individuals, the tracking with the detailed reports generated is very beneficial for organisation standards and goals achievement.

What do you like best about the product?
If once you correctly set your project in it, then it is very useful to handle it's stories and bugs. There are countless settings, properties and plugins.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not always user friendly. Some properties are hidden if you don't have right to change them, so it's hard to figure out whether you don't have right for something, or it's just hard to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing stories and bugs for software development projects
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you work in software development, and you have a company, then JIRA is a must have tool. Although it's quite expensive, it will return the invested money, because it has a huge variety of plugins and integration possibilities as well.

Great for making support tickets with our dev team

What do you like best about the product?
Previously we had no way of creating and logging support tickets with our engineers for bugs and other day to day fixes with our software. But with JIRA, we can create detailed tickets which increases visibility between departments, and we know what stage a ticket is at.
What do you dislike about the product?
Price - it is based on the number of users and for a large company like us, it can be very costly, so we may have to restrict users to save on the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From a support point of view, it makes life a lot easier as we know where support tickets are and who is resolving them, and how fast it is being solved.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think it is perfect for SMEs, but due to the per user costing, larger firms may be better with a different provider. For what they do, JIRA really are perfect though and we have not had an issues with them.

What do you like best about the product?
Its a very powerful tool with numerous options to manage multiple projects. We can create a project and create epics, write user stories and can divide the project in to multiple sprints . We can create tasks for each user story and can estimate timelines for these. Its easy to track the progress of the sprint or project using burn-down chart. Using gantt chat we can check the resource utilization and the budget things. Very easy to assign tasks to team mates and monitor progress.Easy to attach required documents, mockups and wire frrames to user stories.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont have much to comment on this part, it needs some learning to understand the tool to use it at best.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating project plan, project budgeting, creating user stories and attaching supporting documents like mock-ups, excel sheets etc. Its easy to create tasks and monitor the progress. Easy to track bugs and link test cases to the user stories.Easy to budget the project and manage resources and tasks.

Very powerful project management tool t manage projects
