Best Project Management tool

  • October 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What is liked best about Jira are its powerful agile project management features, including customizable workflows and Agile boards (Scrum and Kanban), which help teams visualize, track, and manage work effectively. It supports effective issue and bug tracking with clear task status and progress, and offers comprehensive reporting and analytics to monitor team performance and make data-driven decisions. Jira's flexibility, scalability for both small teams and large organizations, and extensive integration options with other tools further enhance collaboration and streamline workflows. The platform's automation capabilities also save time by handling repetitive tasks, allowing team members to focus on higher-value work
What do you dislike about the product?
Dislikes about Jira commonly include its steep learning curve and complexity, which can be intimidating for non-technical users and require significant training and support. Jira also lacks built-in resource, portfolio, and budget management features, making it less suited for organizations needing these capabilities without additional tools. Performance issues may arise with large instances, including slow loading and disruptive maintenance. Additionally, Jira’s user interface can feel crowded and less intuitive, and its flexibility can sometimes lead to a lack of standardization across teams, causing inefficiencies. Some users also note limited native collaboration features compared to other tools, requiring extensive customization or third-party apps to fill gaps
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira solves key project management problems like tracking tasks, managing workflows, and supporting Agile methodologies. It benefits users by improving project visibility, enhancing collaboration, enabling effective sprint and backlog management, and providing powerful reporting for data-driven decisions. This helps teams deliver projects on time, stay aligned, and work efficiently/

Project Management with Jira

  • October 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Tracking stories and issues related to business cases are a lot easier with fields like priority, impact, links to other epics. I’m also a fan of their reports like burn down charts
What do you dislike about the product?
Cluttered UI especially for the admins, there is a need to fill every field rather than it interpreting a few like the complexity could be auto detected based on the impact and the priority? This could be subjective to every use case yet it should be configurable to auto detect certain fields.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The agile release of development objects is managed according to business cases, using stories to organize the work. These stories are then tracked with various custom sub processes, such as development, testing, demo and business sign off with evidences, to monitor progress and ensure all necessary steps are completed.

Seamless Collaboration Thanks to Jira

  • October 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Jira is that it gives our team a clear structure without forcing us into a one-size-fits-all approach. The ability to customize workflows and boards means each team can manage projects in a way that fits their style, while still keeping everything connected. I also like how easy it is to switch between high-level views (like roadmaps or sprint progress) and the small details of a single task. The built-in reporting and dashboards make it simple to catch bottlenecks early, and the automation rules take care of a lot of repetitive updates we used to do manually. On top of that, the integrations with Confluence and Slack save us from constant context switching, which is a huge productivity boost.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to Jira, one of the biggest frustrations I’ve had is the complexity and steep learning curve. It’s a great tool once you get the hang of it, but the interface can feel overwhelming, especially for new users or teams that are just starting with it. There are so many features and configurations that it can take time to figure out what works best for your team, and even then, it feels like you're always battling with the tool to customize it the way you need. Additionally, while the system is highly customizable, this flexibility can sometimes feel like a double-edged sword—too many options can lead to confusion and mistakes. One thing that stands out is how clunky the mobile app is. It’s just not as intuitive as the desktop version, and trying to update or track issues on the go can be a hassle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One thing that sets Jira apart from other project management tools is its incredible flexibility and customization options. Unlike other software that offers a "one-size-fits-all" approach, Jira allows you to tailor workflows, issue types, and dashboards to fit the unique needs of your team and projects. This means you’re not just limited to generic templates or predefined steps—whether you're managing a product roadmap, coordinating cross-functional teams, or tracking development tasks, you can build a system that aligns with how your team actually works.
The level of granularity in Jira’s reporting and tracking is also something that’s hard to find in many other tools. The detailed issue tracking, custom fields, and automated workflows allow for a highly organized approach to everything from bug tracking to feature delivery. It's these nuances that really make Jira stand out—it’s a tool that grows with your team and adapts to your specific project needs. While other tools might have some of these features, none offer the depth of customization and the comprehensive control over workflows that Jira does, making it indispensable for complex, evolving projects.

JIRA - Tickets Redefined

  • October 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most is the flexibility of the ticket system and its integration into a visual pipeline. Jira effectively centralizes all our work, turning abstract tasks into concrete, trackable issues. Being able to define custom workflows and see the status of every story, bug, or task move seamlessly across a Kanban or Scrum board gives the team complete transparency and makes managing complex projects significantly easier. It's the ultimate source of truth for our development and release cycles.
What do you dislike about the product?
The most frustrating aspect is definitely the notification system, which can be overwhelming and often counterproductive. Instead of receiving timely, relevant updates, I frequently find that notifications stack up—especially after a period away—and then "burst out" all at once, flooding my inbox or in-app stream. This makes it difficult to quickly distinguish between critical, time-sensitive updates and routine changes, forcing me to waste time sifting through noise to ensure I haven't missed a key decision or assignment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem Jira solves for us is the lack of transparency and accountability that plagues manual or scattered project tracking. Before Jira, it was common for tasks to get lost, for critical context to be buried in emails, and for bottlenecks to go unnoticed until it was too late.

How it benefits me:
It provides a single, real-time visual of the entire workflow. This benefits me by greatly reducing administrative overhead and the need for constant status meetings. I can quickly look at a board, see exactly what my team is working on, identify if an issue is stuck with a specific person or stage (e.g., waiting for QA or design sign-off), and jump in to help resolve it. It allows us to be proactive rather than reactive in managing our delivery schedule

Reliable Tool for Project Tracking and Collaboration

  • October 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We’ve been using Jira for a while now, and it really helps our team stay organized. I like that I can easily see what everyone is working on and where tasks stand. The boards and dashboards give a clear picture of progress, which makes planning much easier.

At first it took a bit of time to get used to the setup, but once the workflows were customized for our needs, it became a big part of our daily work. The integrations with other tools are also handy and save us time.

Overall, Jira makes project tracking much smoother and helps us collaborate better.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can feel complex at first, but worth the learning curve
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps us keep track of tasks across different projects and teams. Before, it was easy to lose visibility of who was doing what, but now everything is in one place and easy to follow. It also makes communication smoother because we don’t have to chase updates, progress, blockers, and priorities are clear on the board. This saves us time, reduces confusion, and helps us deliver work more consistently.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Jira for its vast integrations and ease of setup, making it an excellent choice for project management across various domains. The integration with tools like Slack simplifies issue submission, and its cost-effectiveness makes it a reasonable entry point. Additionally, its capacity to bring visibility to project workloads and facilitate easy ticketing processes is immensely beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
{"I find that complex configurations in Jira can become very complicated very quickly as I scale, which makes it tricky to use.","I am disappointed with the limitations in native AI integrations in Jira, as they require payment for premium or enterprise tiers, which would be helpful to have at the base level for smaller teams.","I feel that Rovo, a feature in Jira, is limited in its use due to cost implications."}

Jira brings visibility into our project workload, allowing for easy ticket submission and issue tracking. It integrates with tools like Slack, enhancing efficiency without needing separate logins, and saves time for our company over time with a reasonable cost entry.
