A powerful and reliable tool - performance tweaks would make it perfect

  • November 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love Jira's flexibility, which allows me to customize workflows, boards, and dashboards to perfectly match my team’s specific processes. This customization capability is invaluable as it supports our unique QA process, from test planning to bug resolution, without being constrained to a fixed format. The real-time tracking of QA progress and the ability to keep everyone synchronized, including developers and management, is another standout feature. The integration with other tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, TestRails, and Slack is seamless, providing a comprehensive view of the QA cycle from commit to deployment without losing context. I appreciate that Jira is cloud-based, ensuring all team members across different departments have synchronized and up-to-date access without encountering version or access issues. This cloud-based aspect also made the initial setup much simpler as there was no need to manage servers or installations. Additionally, the boards facilitate easier sprint tracking and daily stand-ups, offering instantaneous visibility into what's in progress or blocked. The dashboards provide excellent real-time visibility for tracking open bugs, test coverage, and release deadlines. In summary, Jira’s overall structure, automation capabilities, and vibrant integration with other software significantly improve team collaboration and project visibility.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Jira feels heavy and slow, particularly when managing projects with many issues or plugins. Configuring complex workflows or permissions can be difficult without administrative assistance. I find the reports and dashboards less intuitive to customize without resorting to additional add-ons. Performance optimization is needed for large projects, as pages occasionally lag with numerous tickets or detailed dashboards. Simplifying dashboard configurations would be beneficial, even for experienced users, who often require admin rights for minor adjustments. Built-in reporting could be made more versatile so teams aren't reliant on third-party add-ons for visualizations. Additionally, improved integration insights between Jira, Jenkins, and automation tools could enhance QA tracking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jira to organize QA and release workflows, enhancing issue tracking, bug prioritization, and team communication. It provides real-time visibility on project progress and integrates with tools like Jenkins and Bitbucket, supporting a seamless QA cycle and improving collaboration.

Unmatched Power and Flexibility for Agile Project Management

  • November 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It’s like Excel, it has so many features but just using basic features well and automating it makes life so much easier for everyone.
What do you dislike about the product?
I love and hate it. My manager and my teammates could see what I'm working on at the same time it feels like it's important to show off your work in a big corporate where you struggle to make contributions as a single entity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Every story is tagged to a component, an epic and a program. Every story is liked to a development story. It provides 100% transparency to everyone involved and makes tracking work easier. I also use it to populate confluence documentation for reporting.

Empowers Agile Teams with Structure and Seamless Integration

  • November 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As an employee, I value how Jira brings structure and transparency to our complex workflows while supporting agile methodologies. The platform makes it easy for diverse teams to collaborate by offering clear visibility into project progress, priorities, and dependencies. Tools such as backlog management, sprint planning, and Kanban boards help us remain aligned and deliver value efficiently. Additionally, Jira’s integration with tools like Confluence and ServiceNow streamlines our change management and documentation processes, which helps reduce bottlenecks and enhances governance.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the primary disadvantages of Jira is its complexity and the steep learning curve it presents. Although it provides robust features for agile project management, setting up workflows, permissions, and boards frequently demands specialised expertise, which can hinder new users from adopting the platform quickly. Furthermore, the abundance of options and customisation choices in Jira can be overwhelming, often leading teams to complicate their processes rather than simplify them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the past, our teams faced challenges due to the use of separate tools for planning, testing, and tracking incidents. With Jira, these processes are now unified within one platform, enabling us to handle test cases, scenarios, and defects more efficiently. This centralisation not only aids in maintaining audit compliance but also guarantees that every project-related activity is thoroughly traceable and well-documented. As a result, operational risk is reduced and the overall quality assurance process is enhanced.

Essential Project Management Tool for Technical Teams

  • November 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jira is my daily project management tool, without jira i cant manage my project tasks, its been more than a year now i am using it , and its amazing , i like it because it helps me keep track of all my database related tasks and ticket in one place, its very organized and makes project management easy even for technical teams like ours, i can clearly see what queries, bugs or optimization are pending , assigned or completed,. the way jira allows me for custom workflows and tags helps me to cateorzie tickets for different database environments, like development , staging and production . i also like that it keeps communication transparent between developers , analyst and managers.
What do you dislike about the product?
overall its good , in everything but sometimes it gets slow when many projects or tickets are open. the Ui is very friendly , apart from that there is no issues in Jira
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using Jira i use to track SQL tasks and bug Fixes manual on excel or chats, which cause confusion, Jira solved that completely. Now every SQL query change, schema update or performance issue is tracked as a ticket . this helps in maintaining history, accountability and collaboration. it also made our relase process more structured and helped avoid duplicate work. the visibility it give across team is very helpful for timely delivery and issue resolution.

Exceptional Organization and Visibility for Complex Projects

  • November 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Jira is the ability to organize and provide clear visibility into the progress of initiatives, especially in projects that involve various areas, suppliers, and simultaneous deliveries. Throughout my experience with 360° campaigns, CRM, digital media, and transformation projects, Jira has helped me structure workflows, prioritize tasks, and track deadlines more accurately. It facilitates alignment between internal teams and agencies, reduces rework, and makes the approval process more fluid. Additionally, the visualization on boards allows for quick identification of bottlenecks and route adjustments, ensuring that deliveries are made with quality and within the agreed deadlines. For me, Jira is not just a management tool — it is an instrument that enhances governance, transparency, and collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don't like about Jira is that, at times, it can become quite a complex tool, especially when there are many projects, boards, and custom workflows being used simultaneously. In large teams or with less mature structures, this complexity can create difficulties in standardizing usage, leading to incomplete or divergent records. Additionally, some configurations and integrations require more advanced technical knowledge, which can delay simple adjustments in day-to-day operations. In other words, when there is no clear governance and discipline of use, Jira can end up creating more layers of control than actually facilitating work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira primarily resolves issues of organization, tracking, and prioritization of tasks in projects that involve multiple areas and suppliers. Previously, it was common for information to get lost among emails, messages, and meetings, which made it difficult to see the status of deliveries and delayed decision-making. With Jira, I can centralize demands, assign responsibilities, track deadlines, and have a clear view of what is in progress, completed, or blocked. This has benefited me by providing more control and predictability for planning campaigns, sprints, and CRM and digital routines, as well as facilitating alignment with agencies and stakeholders. In summary, Jira brings more transparency, productivity, and governance to the process, reducing rework and allowing for quicker adjustments throughout the deliveries.

Project Dashboard Keeps Our Team Aligned

  • November 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Jira is the project dashboard, which allows the entire team to see what everyone is working on.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though I work for a particular company, whenever there is an outage or issue, we experience the same problems internally. During these times, we are unable to update Jira and everything comes to a halt.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira is truly addressing issues such as project tracking(from developing to review to release to deployment) and helps determine the amount of effort required for a user to complete a task. Everyone can leave comments on Jira, which helps keep the entire team up to date on the project's progress. Jira plays a central role in our Agile methodologies.
