What do you like best about the product?
In my current project, Jira has been very helpful in keeping everything organized. I mainly use it to track tasks, bug and sprint progress, and it gives a clear picture of what's going on it the team at any time.

I really like the way boards are structured, especially for sprint planning and daily tracking. it becomes easy to prioritizes work and move tasks across different stages. Also, the ability to customize workflows and fields make it flexible enough to fit different type of projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I noticed is that is the Jira can feel a bit complex when you first start using it. there are many features and settings, so it takes time to get comfortable with it.

Also, if workflows are not designed properly, things can become confusing instead of helpful. Keeping it simple is important, otherwise it may slow down the process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps in managing tasks in a structured way and keeps everyone aligned. Earlier, tracking progress across the team was not very clear, but now everything is visible in one place.

It also improves collaboration since developer, testers, and managers can all update and check the same tasks, This reduces back and forth communication and helps avoid tream handles projects and deadlines.

What do you like best about the product?
Jira has been our go-to tool for managing development sprints, tracking bugs, and keeping the whole team aligned on project progress. Its customizable workflows let us adapt the tool to our specific processes instead of having to change how we work. Being able to create detailed tickets, assign priorities, set due dates, and track progress in real time has made our project management much more efficient. Integrations with tools like Confluence and Bitbucket also help it feel like a complete ecosystem for an IT team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira can feel overwhelming for new users. The interface has a steep learning curve, and setting up workflows often takes a lot of time and admin effort. Performance can also slow down noticeably when you’re working with large projects that have hundreds of tickets. Pricing becomes more of a concern as the team grows, and customer support response times for non-critical issues could be much better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Jira, we tracked tasks and bugs through spreadsheets and long email threads, which made it nearly impossible to get a clear, up-to-date picture of overall project status. Jira has brought much-needed visibility into our development pipeline—from backlog grooming to sprint planning to release—so it’s easier to see what’s in progress, what’s blocked, and what’s coming next. As a result, it has reduced miscommunication between developers and project managers, improved on-time delivery, and given leadership real-time insight into team capacity and progress.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Jira is easy to use and agile friendly, making it convenient for task and sprint planning. The integration with GitHub and Miro is great too, as it allows tickets to include links to GitHub repos and charts in Miro, centralizing everything for me. Additionally, I found the initial setup to be very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The status definitions in Jira are a little confusing, especially terms like 'Ready to review,' 'In review,' and 'Ready to release.'

I use Jira for planning and time management. It's easy to use, agile-friendly, and integrates with GitHub and Miro, making everything centralized.

What do you like best about the product?
Jira has been a game-changer for managing our projects and tracking tasks across multiple teams. The customizable boards and workflows allow us to tailor the system to our exact processes, making it easy to track tasks from backlog to completion. I especially appreciate the drag-and-drop interface for issue management, which saves hours each week by quickly reprioritizing work during sprint planning. Features like epics, story points, and automated notifications help the team stay aligned and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. An unexpected benefit has been the advanced reporting and dashboards, which give us visibility into bottlenecks and team performance without manual data collection.

UI / UX:
Day-to-day usage is smooth. The interface is intuitive, with clearly defined boards, lists, and filters that make navigation straightforward. While Jira has a lot of features, the learning curve is manageable, and once you’re familiar, it’s easy to move between projects, sprints, and reports.

Integrations:
Jira integrates seamlessly with tools like Confluence, Slack, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines, which makes cross-team collaboration much easier. Automated updates between Jira and our development tools keep everyone on the same page without manual tracking.

Performance:

What do you like best about the product?
Jira allows you to decide how tasks should flow. Workflows can be tailored to fit your processes, making the delivery tracking accurate. Once configured, it will be your source of information on what’s going on and what’s delayed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is unforgiving. If there are poorly configured workflows, everything falls apart tickets accumulate, visibility is lost, and trust is gone. Also, it takes time to adjust non-technical teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It brings more structure into the work process. Without any informal tracking, all actions become traceable, decreasing ambiguity and increasing predictability of the delivery schedule.

Project tracking is very easy, with unmatched flexibility and deep integration across the software development lifecycle.
What do you dislike about the product?
Low performance: Many users find the web interface bloated and sluggish. Pages often take several seconds to load, and certain actions such as changing a ticket type can kick off background jobs that slow things down even more and interrupt the workflow.

Overwhelming complexity: Because Jira is so flexible, it can easily turn into a maze of tabs, menus, and tucked-away features. For new users, the learning curve is steep, especially with specialized jargon like “Epics,” “Sprints,” and “Schemes.”

“Click-heavy” UI: Recent interface updates (including those in 2025 and 2026) have been criticized for burying key functions and forcing users to click through more steps to complete everyday tasks.

The biggest drawback is that Jira demands a highly controlled environment. If proper workflows, naming conventions, and backlogs are not implemented, the system will become disorganized and difficult to navigate. The interface is complex for new users who are not familiar with the system. Also, the system demands a lot of time for proper implementation.

What do you like best about the product?
Excellent tool for bug and workflow tracking with robust customization capabilities. After working on Jira for two years as a part of my job, I always make use of custom fields and automation settings to allocate tickets to the teams in the sprints.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems hard and complicated at first because of its extensive configuration and permissions settings. Filtering through hundreds of tickets in the backlog requires more experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira handles workflow operations and integrations for tracking projects from planning to delivery. As a Project Manager dealing with several release cycles per quarter, Jira helps me log and update tickets throughout all of the stages of the development process.
