A Powerful CRM for Marketing Insights and Sales Tracking

  • August 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We transitioned from another CRM for lead acquisition, marketing, and reporting, and HubSpot gave us a clear understanding of the results of our marketing efforts. It allows us to follow up and categorize leads by product, track results month to month, and leverage reports and personalized dashboards. These dashboards make it easy for each department to monitor their specific goals and outcomes, providing great visibility across the organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main drawback we’ve experienced is that some updates don’t sync automatically between contacts and deals. For example, in our appointment CRM setup, certain fields must be updated manually, and deal fields don’t always update with contact fields. This can leave room for error if one is updated and the other isn’t, requiring extra attention to maintain accuracy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We manage different properties, each with unique square footage and product offerings, so HubSpot allows us to personalize communication with every lead. It helps us send documents and quotes seamlessly, track deals across multiple properties, and accurately determine the marketing investment and ROI for each location. This level of organization and visibility has made our sales and marketing processes far more efficient and data-driven.

Seamless integration boosts workflow through custom connectivity

  • August 22, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We have done some work with HubSpot Sales Hub as our main CRM. When our sales team picks up a project or initiates a discussion, they enter it into HubSpot Sales Hub.

From that point onwards, HubSpot Sales Hub tracks and traces the email thread and updates the statuses on the platform itself. We subsequently use it to track the overall sales pipeline from proposal generation to project running, submitting deliverables, and finally invoicing the project. We manage the whole sales cycle using HubSpot Sales Hub.

We have connected our website to HubSpot Sales Hub so whenever there's a reach out that comes in, that information gets fed into HubSpot Sales Hub. We manage and monitor things from there. We also use the HubSpot Sales Hub API to connect our ERP and other systems. The workflows help us connect to webhooks outside HubSpot Sales Hub, trigger certain other processes, and then some other processes will come back and write certain data to HubSpot Sales Hub. We use the automation extensively.

What is most valuable?

The main advantage is its ease of use, and it comes with multiple connectors that can be used to integrate several other systems. The most important feature for us is the ability to plan workflows and integrate other systems manually, even without native connectivity. This is significant because we have connected our internal systems to HubSpot Sales Hub using the API.

Another valuable feature is the email tracking module. Once a person is tracked, it adds all the metadata into the platform for later audit or progress tracing of the email.

The custom reporting functionality is very helpful. We have been using custom reporting with HubSpot Sales Hub to get periodic reports and see the progress of certain projects. It helps us plan our sales strategy by tracking variables based on project size or site projects. We can link these projects to data and components, which helps us strategically plan based on the reports.

The associated lists feature is new, though it has certain limitations when exporting data. HubSpot Sales Hub provides 95% flexibility in terms of allowing us to export, transform data, and bring it back. However, there are some limitations with the associated list feature and the API in terms of flexibility.

What needs improvement?

There are areas that could be improved in terms of custom reporting. The associated lists feature, while new, has certain limitations when exporting data. Some features cannot be linked to custom reports.

The pricing structure includes a base payment for the sales part, which is somewhat expensive compared to other options. The overall cost is relatively high compared to some alternatives available in the market.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using custom reporting with HubSpot Sales Hub for more than five years.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

As it is a cloud platform, there isn't much to install. The only configuration needed is for email modules, which is not complicated to implement.

We are using the HubSpot Sales Hub public cloud, which we access through the browser without any installation requirements.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

When using the API, we have noticed occasional glitches where some records do not go through or are lost. For instance, out of 10,000 API requests, approximately 10 might get missed with absolutely no record of them. Besides this issue, the platform performs well.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

From an infrastructure standpoint, HubSpot Sales Hub manages everything, so scalability concerns are not applicable.

How are customer service and support?

The support team generally responds within a day or two. While dealing with API limitations, support staff couldn't always provide a completely working solution, but they were responsive. They consistently respond and provide solutions, though some limitations are inherent to the tool itself.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We have used the open-source version of SugarCRM before implementing HubSpot Sales Hub.

How was the initial setup?

Being a cloud platform, there isn't much to install. The setup mainly involves email configuration modules, which are not complicated to implement.

What about the implementation team?

While using the API, we have noticed instances where some records do not go through or are lost due to glitches.

What was our ROI?

There is definitely ROI because it helps manage the overall sales pipeline effectively. Without it, we wouldn't be able to manage everything properly or strategically plan our sales strategy.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The solution is affordable, though the pricing structure includes a base payment for the sales part. The sales component is somewhat expensive, making the overall cost higher compared to some other available options.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We have used the open-source version of SugarCRM before implementing HubSpot Sales Hub.

What other advice do I have?

Compared to everything we have used, HubSpot Sales Hub is superior. In terms of flexibility, available options, and interface ease, everything is better in HubSpot Sales Hub.

There are some limitations regarding the API functionality. The pricing structure includes a base payment for the sales part. Technical support receives an eight out of ten rating based on experience. I would be willing to serve as a reference for HubSpot Sales Hub.

Overall rating: 8/10.

easy to use for day to day task management and deal visibility

What do you like best about the product?
HubSpot Sales Hub offers an intuitive interface that simplifies the complexities of sales processes. Its seamless integration with other HubSpot tools ensures a cohesive experience, enhancing productivity. The automation features, such as email sequences and task reminders, significantly reduce manual efforts, allowing sales teams to focus on building relationships. Additionally, the AI-powered insights provide valuable data-driven recommendations, aiding in decision-making and strategy formulation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Despite its many strengths, some users have noted that the platform's pricing can be steep, especially for small to medium-sized businesses. Advanced features like email sequences and automation are often gated behind higher-tier plans, which may not be cost-effective for all organizations. Furthermore, while the interface is generally user-friendly, the abundance of features can be overwhelming for new users, requiring a learning curve to fully leverage the platform's capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HubSpot Sales Hub addresses several challenges faced in the sales process:

Time Management: Automates routine tasks, allowing more time for selling activities.

Lead Tracking: Provides tools to track and manage leads effectively.

Communication: Enhances communication with prospects through integrated email and scheduling tools.

Data Analysis: Offers analytics to assess sales performance and make data-driven decisions.

These solutions have led to increased efficiency, improved lead conversion rates, and better overall sales performance.
