Hubspot > Salesforce
What do you like best about the product?
Overall Hubspot is intuitive and user-friendly. One of my favorite features is the email templates that I can customize and send to a lot of people easily. Hubspot has significantly helped to streamline my workflow. I would say that Hubspot as helped to increase my overall efficiency at work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The built in Hubspot dialer is not convenient. We have to pay for a 3rd party plugin. This is honestly the only complaint I can think of. If Hubspot were to implement a dialer built in that included features like click-to-dial, local area code matching, and voicemail drop, Hubspot would then truly be an all-in-one solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping leads organized, knowing my outreach plan, and having a simple way to email prospects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommend. I came from an organization where we strictly used Salesforce classic. It got the job done but I didn't love it. In my opinion, Salesforce lightning is not user-friendly. Hubspot has a lot of functionality from a Sales & Marketing standpoint and it is truly easy to navigate.
Community Engagement Manager for a tech company
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Hubspot can integrate with my inbox and track emails I send. I also like that I can go into hubspot and have a full view of a particular contact
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont like that Hubspot does not track email replies to an email that I sent out as tracked
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of sending personalized emails to folks but in a quicker way (with templates). The benefits are endless for that--also I really like the scheduling tool where people can click a link into my calendar and book time to speak with me
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Recommend making sure they have the integrations they need
Brooks Hubspot Experience
What do you like best about the product?
Tasks are very well organized and I like the email flow reminders as well as the sales receipts. Organization of all of the deals and being able to monitor deals that I own is also very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like how often calls are dropped or how often they fail to connect at all. Also having to reset filters whenever I leave the companies page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not having to generate my own leads as well as being able to follow up with warmer leads after leaving notes on previous calls!
Exceptionally efficient
What do you like best about the product?
The site works the way it should, could be better if it worked and responded quicker to commands. Sometimes when looking at emails it tends to slow down, what i would LOVE to see in the application is when we've made calls or not as a follow up, maybe like a small icon that indicates when a call when is made to keep track how many times we've spoken to the client instead of writing it in the notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it loads slow and things don't automatically organize themselves. When entering in a company sometimes it doesn't all connect into one company. Another thing is the notifications, wish we could manually turn some off notifications with certain clients, some clients will open it way too many times and causes alot of notifications on my phone, wish this could be reduced by manually overriding it.
Another thing is when you maximize the window to write an email the text editor is allll the way to the bottom of the page, you would have to scroll all the way down to use the functionality of the text editor, wish this could be solved.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not much problems, the program works really well, the deal organization makes it easy to keep track of what's been sold and paid. I love using it with my crew incase someone is not in the office it's a great way of keeping track,
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Learning it is easy, i wish it would work a little quicker, but that could also be the mac i'm on.
Using Hubspot Deals and Tasks to stay top of Mind and Grow Sales
What do you like best about the product?
My first favorite tool is the Tasks section. I use the Tasks section daily to follow through on important client connections that help me make sure my deals don't fizzle out due to lack of attention. Reminders to connect with my most important clients are most often prompted when working in unison with my Deals page. I can quickly scan my deals, and add tasks associated with them to ensure I'm following up with clients to close deals. The deals section has been instrumental in giving me a quick snapshot view of all my top revenue opportunities, guiding me toward shaping my daily action items around the most important clients and/or deals.
What do you dislike about the product?
My personal preference for efficient deal review is under the "table" view of the deals section. The table view has various categories such as "owner", "close date", "deal stage." However, they do not have "drop down" capability. So in order for me to change any statuses in "table" view, I have to drill into the contact Preview, or drill into the actual contact page. It would be immensely helpful if the table view had drop down options for changing deal stages, close dates, and most importantly, setting tasks. The most helpful transaction I use on all of hubspot is setting tasks on deals that I need to close, but it is currently too time consuming because I have to click back and forth between pages to do it. The dropdown will fix that issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving one big problem that all sales people have... Managing accounts and priorities. Hubspot puts everything in one place, allowing me to manage the top priorities on a daily basis. We had no CRM before HubSpot, so this has been huge for us. Another benefit I have realized is that our owners can now see my activity... So they are seeing how much hard work I am putting into this company. When measuring employee activity, HubSpot shows sales management who is going above and beyond.
It's pretty good!
What do you like best about the product?
you can track certain items and have them passed along automatically to others. I like having the team on the same page to be able to track our sales pipeline as well. Your emails automatically get inserted into the CRM after you download the plugin on Outlook, etc., making it really easy to understand when you last contacted people, who their main contact is at your company, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
there are a few features that don't automate as well as we'd like. the system kind of makes you upgrade to a paid version to get the best experience. We are under the startup discount so we purchased the sales and marketing packages, which have given us more of the experience that we're looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
keeping track of the clients. before, we were contacting the same clients and not maintaining a database. now that our whole team is operating on Hubspot and we're all able to be on the same page regarding our client contacts, sales pipleline, tasks and onboarding. We were having trouble with the handoff originally from our sales team to the client success team, tracking individual orders after a successful sale, so the ticket portion of hubspot has by far been the most used feature.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
get the processes in place at the beginning. it was very easy to get up and running, but harder to implement the "best practices" after we were already going. Putting the pen to paper on what you are looking to accomplish from using hubspot and each of the different features it offers will give you the most benefit from hubspot, outside of just tracking emails and contacts.
Perfect for smaller start-ups
What do you like best about the product?
I have been really impressed in using Hubspot's CRM system. As a past Salesforce and Outreach user, I was reluctant at first that we had Hubspot installed. I have been really impressed with the capabilities of Hubspot - especially for a smaller stage start-up. The CRM is clean, easy to use, with sales automation tools built right in. I really like how easy it is to scroll through a contact / company and understand the most recent activity on an account.
I like how intuitive this product is to use - its really built to do the core functions of a sales role really well.
I like how intuitive this product is to use - its really built to do the core functions of a sales role really well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful to have the ability to tag contacts and companies within the CRM - ie; Conference, Circle Back, etc. as I know Outreach has that capability and it was helpful when sorting lists. It would also be nice to sort tasks by highly-engaged prospects - ie prospects who have opened or clicked on emails. That would help for prioritizing the task functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in a full-cycle SAAS sales role and Hubspot helps me manage my activity, run basic reports, and reach out to contacts. The benefits of using a simpler CRM (compared to a Salesforce for example) are that its easier to stay focused because there are no distracting features - it really does the main competencies I'd expect in a CRM tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't just go for the bigger players in the space - really consider the size of your company and the actual functionality your sales reps need a CRM for and evaluate the best tool for the stage your company is currently at.
Hubspot Tasks Features
What do you like best about the product?
Hubspot tasks are super helpful and organized. The quick options to toggle between whats due today, overdue and upcoming are all helpful for forecasting work loads. And their queues are super helpful for hammering through several tasks in a limited timeframe.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish there were options for other interfaces like a dark mode, for when working nights. Other than that, I have nothing negative to say about the interface, or the tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to organize tasks, assigned to contacts and companies, and quickly associate contact records to specific tasks, to keep an organized workflow, and a clean pipeline.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hubspot is the best CRM out there, if you keep the tasks, contacts, meeting, and emails all properly associated.
When you do not associate these, it can be cumbersome, but with a little proactive work, you can keep it extremely clean, and it can help takecare of itself over time.

Hubspot keeps you on Task
What do you like best about the product?
HubSpot allows me to organize my contacts and follow-ups in precise manner. The ease of use and navigation is a huge time saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
Importing data or lists from other sources is not easy or I have just not dug in enough to learn how to easily do it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like the activity alerts to see who is opening emails and what links they are clicking. This can help me plan out next steps strategically to maximize my time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
HubSpot is a great tool for small to large business looking for a user friendly CRM solution.
Overall a pretty good CRM does have some issues though
What do you like best about the product?
Gmail plug in is great! I love that deals can be viewed in a table or dashboard view. Love the next step date features! helps prioritize my day! interface is nice and easy to navigate!
What do you dislike about the product?
not all info is accurate, call quality issues when calling through browser (not related to internet), emails didn't get logged always, info doesn't translate from deals page to profiles and vice versa, deals would all link to customers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
can use deals page to prioritize your day, love the next step dates, new interface is nice! easy to navigate
