Integrated access to multiple web based systems Active Directory, LMS, LDAP, Oracle Apex and ORDS.

What do you like best about the product?
We setup an Oracle APex system to link to Active Directory, LDAP, and LMS. Parent login accounts are housed in this system and also a selection of types of system access in this system. Basic for everyone, Helpdesk for our helpdesk team, and Administrator for the Developer and myself. Using ADFS and a single signon structure of authentication, we connected a workshop shceduling/certificate system and a Matrix Online Course system to the Profile Manager (parent ID system). WHen the ID is created in the parent system, you can login to the child systems and the authentication looks at the parent system and auto-creates a login ID on the child system, by passing the needed information from the parent system. We have several other systems that look back at the parent system and with Active Directory auto create and allow access when the username and password matches. Your parent ID allows you to access other systems and setup the account to later just login on the child system. Each of these systems perform different functions for the staff or customers using the system. I like how Oracle Apex allows different structured systems that have similar menu choices. This assists in faster learning of each of these systems, as learning one , and you already know how to do some of the same things in the other systems. This makes it easier to document the systems and train new users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our developers would know if any, they created the systems they handed off to me to manage and help others to use, or fix their problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of our developers is working out the process to move from server based to the cloud and also upgrade to a version needed to operate. Then keeping up with the versions.

122 / 5,000

Manage our customers' data safely and with the quality that Oracle offers.

Few results in a no/low code environment requires strong PL/SQL skills

What do you like best about the product?
There is a cool universal theme library with features similar to Bootstrap. The drag and drop interface can be fast. The software is plug and play WYSIWYG. Most features are configurable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Requires way more PL/SQL knowledge than implied. Many drag and drop features are hard to find, complicated, and simply easier to code in CLI. The software is for business logic and routing documents, not creating web or mobile apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SQL databases connect so easily, much of the work is done by APEX. Development time is significantly shorter. The software works out of the box. Some forms are faster or may have been more difficult to crank out in the past.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Pay for a different solution that is more widely adopted. Any advantage you gain by using "free" software is lost in retraining and learning curve.
