What do you like best about the product?

Simple to deploy, use, manage, and Operate.

What do you dislike about the product?

we can't understand the reason why many alerts are sent to our email address unless create a case for support.

On the other hand, Nutanix provides a lot of KB for workload to us.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I guess HYCU should provide a lot of knowledge base for users to do workaround as soon as possible.

As of now, we can't understand the meanings of the message of any alerts.

Seamless operation and a good user interface

I've noticed some time the restore point of a backup is missing.

Data retention and restoration of a backup

Very good and fast support, easy setup and operation

Some points have not yet been implemented because the product is still in the development stage.

Our most important documents are well secured by HYCU and their backup is monitored.

What do you like best about the product?

Dependable and easy to use, with straightforward upgrades and very good support. Adding on prem or cloud storage is also easy to do and HYCU integrates well with Nutanix.

What do you dislike about the product?

Overall, I’m very happy with HYCU. One thing I’ve run into, and would like to see added, is the ability to include the date in the name of a scheduled report.

HYCU makes it easy to back up and restore data, whether you’re using on-prem storage or cloud storage.

We stay in control by using our own storage, and HYCU has the largest set of backup services we found when we searched the market.

The Security on Google Workspace backups is a little sketchy. As an admin, I can actually access the inbox of my co-workers and read their e-mail.

As a provider of cloud services, security is extremely important to us, and backup is an essential part of security.

What do you like best about the product?

Easy to setup and integrate with Nutanix. VM and file level restores work well and are pretty quick.

not crazy about the appliance upgrade process - it has to make a new VM. A bit cumbersome, but works.

Hycu simplifies managing backup jobs, monitoring success/failure, and ensuring compliance with recovery objectives across our fleet.

What do you like best about the product?

HYCU stands out for its simplicity of deployment and its cloud-native approach. The tool allows for the quick protection of environments like Microsoft 365 without complex infrastructure. Centralized management, granular restorations, and global visibility offer a real time-saving advantage in operations.

What do you dislike about the product?

On the automation side, HYCU remains quite limited as soon as one moves beyond standard use cases. The solution is very effective in a "set and forget" logic with simple predefined policies, which is ideal for quick deployments. However, this simplicity comes at the expense of flexibility for more complex environments. [hycu.com] Specifically:

Advanced scheduling capabilities remain relatively limited, with few detailed options to orchestrate complex backup scenarios. [g2.com] Automation relies mainly on built-in mechanisms rather than customizable workflows (such as multi-step orchestration). Integration possibilities via API exist, but they are less rich than in more mature solutions, which limits advanced automation scenarios (CI/CD integration, DR automation).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

HYCU primarily addresses the problem of complexity and fragmentation of backup solutions in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. In many cases, traditional tools require heavy infrastructures (agents, backup servers, maintenance), which greatly complicates operations. HYCU adopts a SaaS and "agentless" approach that significantly simplifies this model by eliminating a large part of the operational constraints.

What do you like best about the product?

I really like the excellent technical support they provide as well as the presales support. The initial setup experience was very good and we were excellently assisted by the technical support.

What do you dislike about the product?

The graphical interface of the backup world in Microsoft 365 could be improved. It is well done, however, there are some details that can be improved.

HYCU solves the concern of having a valid return and offers backup for Nutanix environments on HV hypervisor, as well as backup solutions for TASI5 and Google Workspace.
