What do you like best about the product?

HYCU is easy to deploy and manage, with a very intuitive interface. I especially appreciate the reliability and speed of the backups. It provides consistent protection, clear monitoring, and makes daily backup administration simple and efficient.

What do you dislike about the product?

After three years of using HYCU, I haven’t found any significant downsides or anything that I particularly dislike. The solution has been reliable and has consistently met my expectations.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Since I started using HYCU, backups are no longer a problem or a time-consuming task. The backup process is reliable and automated, allowing me to focus on other IT activities without having to constantly worry about data protection.

What do you like best about the product?

HYCU has a clean and intuitive UI/UX, strong integrations, and reliable performance. It also works perfectly with Nutanix Elements. Overall, I feel HYCU provides good value for the price, and the support is very good.

What do you dislike about the product?

We are hosted on a Nutanix environment managed by a third party, and HYCU does not fully support Nutanix Prism Central in this setup.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I’ve used several backup solutions before, and nothing beats HYCU when it comes to backup speed and reliability. It makes backup management simple and gives me peace of mind.

What do you like best about the product?

Support is very good; they take their time with you and make sure you’re helped properly.

What do you dislike about the product?

I don’t have any real complaints. I just wish they offered more events in my country.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Backup with Nutanix makes backup and restore faster. It’s a good way to keep all my Office 365 backups organized and well arranged.

What do you like best about the product?

I mostly like HYCU because of its simplicity and reliability. It's easy to manage with an intuitive dashboard, and setting up and monitoring backups requires very little effort. I find the restores quick and straightforward, which gives us confidence in recovering data quickly if needed. I appreciate that HYCU helps us simplify and automate our server backups and recovery processes, providing reliable protection for our servers, files, and backup copies. It also reduces the administrative effort required to manage backups across our environment. Our HYCU is integrated with Nutanix clusters, and the integration is seamless, making backup and recovery operations easy to manage without adding complexity. Additionally, unlike Veeam, HYCU uses cluster resources to back up workloads, which doesn't affect the performance of the VM. The initial setup was easy for our team, and we did not experience any complexity.

One downside of HYCU is that the reporting could be more customizable and detailed

HYCU simplifies and automates server backups and recovery, providing reliable protection and reducing admin effort. It gives us confidence in quick data restoration and integrates seamlessly with Nutanix clusters, making operations easy without impacting VM performance.

What do you like best about the product?

The Dashboard is insightful at a glance and the application is easy to navigate and displayes the info in a singla pane. It easy to configure...recoveries especially file recoveries are made a lot easier and makes it wasy to Manage backup regimes and monitor storage use

Does not compress backups when SMB is choosen as the target

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Solving my backup solution as well as contibuting to my DR strategy. The face that it offers you to customise backup schedules for differnet VMs

What do you like best about the product?

Works with anything, no matter what backup hardware you're running. It's secure, too, being the only backup software with a published DISA STIG. The UI is intuitive, and a quick demonstration to get you up and running in your environment is great by the support team. The fact that a demo can be done in 15-20 minutes shows the integrations, how fast it is, etc. Pricing is amazing compared to other solutions.

What do you dislike about the product?

No real downside to using it, in my opinion. As an authorized reseller, I was there was more margin for partner-driven opps, but that has nothing to do with the product itself.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I was able to bring HYCU to a customer that did not have a backup solution in place, but wanted something with great support, ease of use, and was certified in the DoD/DoW in some way. HYCU checked all the boxes and it's been easy ever since. Even when evaluating it for procurement, my customer was able to quickly get all their questions answered very quickly and thoroughly.

Its ease of use and ability to use multiple targets

There is nothing i dislike the product does what i need

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Hycu protects data in case of a disaster and this is very helpful to us because we rely on iit for protection

It's ability to easily integrate with my Nutnanix system

There should be more use of AI in terms of reporting and data gathering

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is helping us greatly in backing up our Nutanix based VMs

Ease of setup and use, quickly accessible and knowledgeable "real" people on helpdesk.

What do you dislike about the product?

Nothing so far! We had a few questions regarding setup that was not immediately clear to us but we arranged online call and it was sorted in no time.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Backup of our cloud (SaaS) data.

What do you like best about the product?

HYCU is straightforward to use and provides reliable backups for our VMware VMs. It automatically detects additional VMs in the connected vCenter, while still allowing us to stay in control of our backup policies. The dashboard presents clear metrics that show backup progress and the overall reliability of our system protection, which makes it easy to monitor what’s happening at a glance. It also supports storage copies to multiple locations for offsite backups, and the automation of backup integrity testing, which is very useful to have.

What do you dislike about the product?

With Broadcom’s recent price changes, like many others we’re now looking at VMware alternatives. In that context, I’d really like to see HYCU support a wider range of hypervisors. Aside from that, it’s a good system overall.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

HYCU replaced an older system and has proven to be more reliable and efficient, freeing up time for the IT department that was previously spent troubleshooting and maintaining the backup infrastructure.
