What do you like best about the product?
The simplistic design of the solution complimented by the comprehensive backup that is provided, give me and the key stakeholders complete peace of mind that our environment is fully protected.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly cannot think of any downsides to the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ease in which the solution can be setup enabled us to switch from an expensive Veeam-heavy backup configuration to HYCU in a very small amount of time. Whether the requirement is to provide verification that backups are ready for use, or to utilise an offsite, air gapped backup target, HYCU has the answers. Policies that fulfil almost every element of an audit to prove your backup solution is robust and fit for purpose.

One of HYCU’s biggest strengths is how seamlessly it integrates with platforms like Nutanix, leveraging native snapshots instead of relying on heavy agents or clunky legacy workflows. This not only reduces overhead but also makes backup operations remarkably fast and lightweight. Recovery has become equally streamlined on what used to take hours is now accomplished in minutes with clean, intuitive restore options that don’t require digging through layers of unnecessary menus.
The user experience is another standout feature. HYCU’s intuitive workflows make it incredibly easy to configure policies, manage protection groups, and monitor backup status without needing deep-dive training or certification. Everything is where it should be, and the interface guides you naturally through every step. Even junior team members have found it effortless to navigate.

Validating recoveries.
Seamless Nutanix AHV Integration and Effortless Management
What do you like best about the product?
It works natively with Nutanix AHV. Simple to deploy and manage. It just works. If it doesn't, support is very quick to respond and stays with you until you are happy the issue is resolved.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scheduling jobs is only able to be done by days and hours when certain jobs are allowed to run via policies. You cannot set a static time or day when a job runs. When you schedule archives and validation, the entire job with all sub jobs has to complete within your day time window to be considered compliant. The next jobs starts earlier than it did previously so that it can complete before the compliance requirements causing jobs to run earlier and earlier in your scheduling window. Unless you have a window that is every day of every week you will eventually fall out of compliance for jobs here and there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With a small team, it removes the worry about my backups of all my Windows and Linux servers, virtual appliances and cloud servers. It is easy to monitor and maintain. Updating the system is done in just a few clicks making maintenance a breeze.

We absolutely appreciate HYCU for several key reasons. Firstly, its dashboard is incredibly easy to use, which significantly enhances my workflow by providing a clear, accessible interface to manage backups across multiple Nutanix Clusters. The ease with which HYCU can be set up and made operational is another standout feature, saving valuable time and reducing the complexity typically associated with similar solutions. I find it particularly beneficial that HYCU supports the recovery of backup failures automatically, without the need for human intervention, thus providing a seamless, reliable backup solution. Additionally, I love the simplicity of HYCU, which facilitates quick learning and onboarding for new users, making it a preferred choice over other more complex solutions. On top of these, the excellent support provided by HYCU reinforces my confidence in the product, assuring me that help is readily available whenever needed. This combination of features and service makes HYCU an indispensable tool for managing disaster recovery solutions effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would like to see the 3-2-1 backup rule implemented in HYCU. Currently, I am limited to performing a single copy of a backup within a backup policy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use HYCU for multi-site disaster recovery and backing up Nutanix Clusters, simplifying user onboarding with its easy setup and dashboard. It enhances backup reliability by recovering failures automatically and offers great support.

The interface is very clean and easy to use. HYCU’s big appeal is that you don’t need to be a backup expert to get strong data protection. It automates a lot of backup, recovery, and policy enforcement tasks.

The simplicity that makes HYCU appealing can also frustrate power users. Some advanced backup scheduling, retention, or replication controls are more limited than in traditional enterprise tools.
