Sage Intaccct Review
What do you like best about the product?
Used it for my USA team payroll management project, it automated our financial process and helped us to build quick reports and dashboards with numerous reporting and analysis options. The user interface is quite intuitive and can be used by anybody new in the system. Kept all the transactions details/ history in place in organized manner, automated payment schedules and kept us notified of the upcoming due dates. In nutshell, it served the purpose of our project and feels like it can be utilized for multiple purposes by organisations irrespective of their operational size.
What do you dislike about the product?
Used it for a one-year duration for my USA team’s accounting process. And it served the purpose it was used for. No cons as such.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helped me with my project of automating accounting and payroll management project, saved ton of time for the team in invoicing, payroll management. Reports and dashboard helped us to tack transactions on real time basis.
I think it is easy to use

The layout is not confusing and I don't have trouble navigating.
What do you dislike about the product?
Changing entities can get confusing when using it.

It makes it easy to manage money and it keeps track of my timesheets

So far, the user interface is unnatural to me as a new user.

I believe that Sage is going to help us a lot with schedules for prepaids and fixed assets

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, easy to navigate, fairly easy to create reports, run reports, etc. The support team!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind at this time. For what we use it for, it works perfectly fine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reconciliations and cost control are saving me time and keeping my accounting in order. I can see time-saving benefits added as well.

Accounting is no longer a problem with Sage Intacct
What do you like best about the product?
It has a lot of very useful functions, such as filing taxes online, inventory management we are also using it and it is very useful to track all the inventory we have. And the per diem reimbursement management is perfect for keeping all the accounts up to date, including the expenses of traveling workers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it had more features and tools to include payroll and payments made to workers. Some integrations were complicated for me to install to be able to use the software as we wanted, but with the help of technical support we were able to solve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have really been able to take advantage of the many functions of this software right from the start, which is quite comprehensive and has worked quite well for us so far. Accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, among others, can be done automatically.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
With this software you will not need external help to carry all the accounting and administrative part of your company, because it has so many functions and so many useful tools, that you can solve all financial commitments. Its design is very friendly, it is very easy to use and its functions are not complicated to learn.
Intacct faults prevent it from being a great accounting system
What do you like best about the product?
Intacct performs everything you expect a typical accounting system to do. It is a cloud dimensional-based system that allows the organization lots of options for the dimensions and attributes within the dimensions for reporting use. Depending on the complexity of the organization, data pulls and reporting are lightning quick. Data imports can bring in tons of transactions saving data entry time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Credit application in Accounts Payable is hard to work through with high amounts of transactions. Booking directly to Entities should not be allowed as it creates data drop issues when blank fields are created. The out-of-the-box financial reporting takes time to learn as it is dissimilar to other accounting systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct uses a voting-based system for suggestions through its Customer Portal so you don't see ideas turned into reality. They do update Intacct the system four times per year but most updates did not make a huge impact on our organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Depending on the size of the organization and what system you are currently using I would recommend a hands-on demonstration of Intacct through one of their partners. Understand how your organization will benefit from dimensional-based accounting and under no circumstances book directly to an Entity. There are plenty of ways to create parent-child relationships within the dimensions to use for reporting and data purposes so build everything out wisely.

What do you like best about the product?
Good, Integrated Accounting System. Easy to Navigate. Flexible to use. Does most everything our organization needs. Grateful for the training we receive as it helps maximize our usage.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Accounts Payable system is nice but could benefit by some upgrades. The Approval Process in particular is a bit rigid. The ability to have backup approvers (when managers are out of office or on vacation) would help keep things moving. But still satisfied overall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real time reporting via the dashboard has been helpful. Our Accounting Department is currently going through training so we can maximize Sage Intacct's reporting capabilities. The more we have available on the dashboard, the better informed management will be.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Overall, Sage Intacct has a been a great product in helping us manage our accounting tasks. The system is relatively easy to use. There are several features that are particularly useful, including the financial dashboard.

Precise and dynamic cloud accounting software
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about this tool is how it has been able to automate vital financial processes to reduce errors and maximize accuracy. I also like the essential reports that sage intacct has provided us with because they have enabled us to plan properly for our financials. Sage intacct's seamless integration with Salesforce and other software that we have deployed is a big plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial stages have a steep learning curve and you need proper training to get all its functions. Learning how to extract data from other sources is also a difficult process. Considerable knowledge of accounting software is required to work with this tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage intacct is a reliable cloud storage accounting platform that has helped us to increase productivity and return on investment. It has enabled smooth running of the accounting processes. The way it has handled our core financials has been excellent and productive compared to other accounting software that we have used.

I can quickly see how much unrestricted cas we have on hand which is key in ensuring we are spending tge right money at the right time.

A more advanced dashboard to show the real-time view of all our assets and what is driving our revenue

Complete transparency into our balances by entity, grant, donor, and even project, allowing setting of budgets for each area and tracking actuals

Incorporate this tool into your regular monthly reporting and have a clear view of financial data on large scale projects alongside standard balance sheets and statements of activity
