Sage Intacct Review
What do you like best about the product?
It is very amendable, many kinds of spreadsheets and budgets is possible to create using this software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial high learning curve which requires time to get used to. It is not as user friendly as Quickbooks

The Ease of Access for every thing and you will have the full control

What do you dislike about the product?
the one thing I dis like is that when you are trying to save documents on the transaction it some times take along time, and some times it just stuck even though the internet connection is so good
and also when you stay in active for a while it sign out automatically and some times i look for a thing or 2 just to upload it and it signs me out so i have to sign in again and choose the level of the corporate and it opens in a new window

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the problems i solve is payments for vendors and reviewing the invoices and record the transactions and reconcile the banks by matching the transactions of the bank and the one which is input in the system and i make the payments through the bill payment module.
the benefits is that every thing is under your eyes and you have reports for everything like PNL Statement
Vendor aging and the due date off all invoices, when making the payments you choose the way of the payment method which is made already by me so it is an easy way also for keep tracking the payments

when you open the sage and choose the applications it is only so simple that you will not need a lot of training time just look and search and everything is there
Deep (and complicated) for the non-accountant.

If you have the time and inclination to dig in to the details, you can find almost ANY information you want/need.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a non-accountant...I don't totally understand the scope and sequence of the entire system. But I've learned the process for my narrow set of needs and my narrow set of tasks. It's full of accounting jargon that is probably helpful to that department - but it's not a tool to "teach" anyone how to manage accounting and ledgers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Efficient way to see budgets and expenses - all in one place.

Be ready for a lot of training if you want to really understand the depth and breadth of what it can do.

What do you like best about the product?
Inter-entity reporting and consolidations were a key requirement and are handled efficiently by Intacct.
What do you dislike about the product?
The quarterly updates are appreciated and provide regular and increased functionality. They do, however, sometimes cause work flow issues and redesign. Small price for the continue improvements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of posting revenue and expenses across entities. Manual Inter-entity transactions have been reduced significantly.

What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct is a very comprehensive program that has the ability to provide excellent functionality. Sage Intacct is an end user focused company and I've always experienced excellent customer support and interactions at every level of the organization. I like that you can add on other modules to increase functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
You have to implement correctly! Out of the box is the best. Even out of the box implementation offers custom fields.
Using some of the Marketplace partners is an excellent opportunity to expand functionality ~ the down side of this is that there are always extra fees involved that you need to be aware of up front when planning your needs. Modules are easy to add on in future when you're ready.

Robust Accounting System with Limitless Posibilities
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct not only provides us with the tools to track basic accounting transactions, but it also provides many tools that allow my accounting team to provide useful data to my staff for ongoing decision making. The report feature is very customizable and allows us to build reports based on limitless dimensions and data. We have yet to maximize the potential of creating custom dashboards for our staff to reference in real time. Sage Intacct also provides direct integration with other systems for credit card reconciliations and payables that allows our team to work with high efficiency.
Lastly, over the last year we have transitioned most of our workflows to be paperless and our approvals to take place directly within the system. We are so thankful for the ways that Sage Intacct has allowed us to seamlessly transition to remote work.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are several features that feel fairly basic (such as the Project dimension) that Sage Intacct does not include with the basic price. These features are a very costly add-on. They are necessary for our organization's accounting and very costly to us as a non-profit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct allows us to run very customized reporting that provides data to fuel informed decision making for our organization. The ability to schedule report runs for the end of each month has saved my team so much time.

Intacct makes it easy in my role to see collection amounts and trigger notifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
User Experience is a little confusing at first. A little more of an initial learning curve than most for things like permission assignments and how to access different clients under multiple categories.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to trigger notifications for overdue invoices.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you communicate your needs for usage for this software. I think there might be better software out there if you're trying to keep your billing technology simple. But does have a lot of great functionality.
The best reconciliation features!
What do you like best about the product?
Out of all the accounting software I've tried, I enjoy the way Sage allows users to reconcile bank and credit card transactions. It makes a very tedious process much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a fan of having to run reports to see transactions related to vendors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm doing bank and credit card reconciliations over multiple years and I've found that process to be much easier than other accounting software. When a mistake is made with a journal entry, I find that it's very easy to pull up the register and correct the entry.

I like the way you can manage all the intercompany journal entries or bills with only one entry and all the entities are in balance.
After doing your first bank reconcilation you can connect the bank to a cloud base and all the entries from the bank are done for you and your next bank reconcilation is very easy. It can take you only 5 minutes.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of step to do simple things. Entering a bill can take you more time that you were used to. Your first bank recocilation is really hard to do. You need to know all the entries done in the account so you can be able to do it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my company it was a pain balancing the intercompany accounts and with Intacct is really simple since the account is being balance with every entry.

Intacct's multiple dimensions allow us to track multiple departments across multiple locations and much more

So far, we have not seen many downsides to using Intacct. Perhaps the lack of very simple, standardized reporting could be a flaw for users who have less experience in accounting could be an area of improvement.

The primary problems we use Intacct to solve are tracking multiple departments across multiple locations for various reports users, all while using the cloud.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have someone who understands accounting in general, and the organization's needs/desires in detail and is capable of matching those things together. We were able to get a less expensive implementation package due to having the appropriate accounting expertise in-house along with having a very well-documented objective to meet the organization's needs.
