ERP with the best ROI
What do you like best about the product?
The automation abilities. I am able to fully automate my order to cash process and the related accounting. Doing so has shortened my monthly close by 5 days!
What do you dislike about the product?
Custom reporting is not as user friendly as I would like
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the administrative burden around billing and am able to keep my accounting headcount flat while the Company continues its excellent growth.
Good if you are a small-to-medium business with only one base currency.
What do you like best about the product?
The reporting and dimension groups are fantastic. The user interface is great. The new action interface is a little less intuitive, but it's still pretty good. Consolidations are easy. Custom reports take a day or two to learn, but after you learn how to create custom reports and custom fields, you can quickly export to Excel and perform lots of great analyses.
What do you dislike about the product?
Prepaid, PP&E and contracts modules are lacking and lose some functionality if you have entities with different base currencies. Customer service is kind of poor - case resolution is slow and some seemingly simple functionality (like freezing the columns on HTML reports) is not available in some cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Avoid Intacct if you have multiple entities with different base currencies and avoid the contracts module (for ASC606 reporting). Be aware the Prepaids module and fixed assets module are lacking - though they do a decent job, it was like they were created by someone who never had to account for either of these types of transactions.
Other than that, it's a fairly powerful software that can help automate consolidation and reporting and save quite a bit of time on the month-end close.

Good product
What do you like best about the product?
I like the integration with salesforce and how straight forward it is.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of options with the integration. If i want to base it on another field or record type its a big workout.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our invoicing is a huge issue since we are multi product. Intact allows us to invoice in a way that works best for us.
Running multiple companies is a breeze!
What do you like best about the product?
We have 27 companies. Intacct gives us the ability to move between companies, run grouped reports and make entries without ever exiting the software. Allowing for multiple open windows at one time has saved us not only time, but the headaches associated with inefficient software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Haha, when we download a report to Excel, why does it ask us AGAIN if we want to download? I already initiated that action?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The true benefit is FTE savings. Intacct has allowed us to grow with fewer staff.
Handy ERP for Multi-Entity Company
What do you like best about the product?
We switched from QB Enterprise in order two consolidate our 3 subsidiaries financials under one roof. Sage Intacct does the job very well and saves users a lot of time on a day to day basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
We don't like the inventory module. It cannot track FIFO so we recently scrapped the module and went back to our 3rd party provider.

We've realized a major benefit in being able to design our own reports from scratch using the report writer tool. This allows us to take a top level approach on some accounts, and get very granular where necessary.

What do you like best about the product?
Where do you start? The Consolidation is extremely useful and efficient. The level and depth of reporting and the dashboards provide quantifiable data to facilitate decision making and accelerate growth. Multi entity and multi currency is easy to manage and report. Intacct makes revenue recognition compliance significantly easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like any of the larger accounting systems, Intacct can be a bit clunky with a steeper learning curve than the lower tier systems (Quickbooks / Xero ) but then the benefits are far greater. Intacct can be difficult once you get off the rails - it can take multiple clicks to remove warning for simple typo's

We have used Intacct for multiple companies - automated consolidations - bringing data into Intacct efficiently and quickly - revenue recognition compliance - integration with bill.com - automation of the accounting process.

As a CFO it Intacct will certainly allow you to sleep at night knowing your accounting is GAAP compliant and significant controls are in place......

There is very little I dislike about Sage Intacct.

Stream-lined reporting, less manual reports, better reporting on various dimensions.

An in-depth accounting platform with a wide range of features
What do you like best about the product?
Beyond the basic accounting functions found in most account products, Sage Intacct offers a much greater depth of reporting tools, a solid user interface, and great support. The company does a very good job at providing updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unlike simpler programs like Quickbooks, this is a full blown accounting package that can require some hours of implementing it and training users. Its full feature set may not always be used by all members of an organization, requiring purchases to do a good review of needs before purchasing a license. The product is as beginner friendly but then again its market is not for novices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct really offers a great many tools, far beyond simpler applications offered by other competitors. Thus one can find an all in one solution for accounting needs. In the organization I was working with, we had to do a careful analysis of what was really needed in terms of features. The package offered a great deal more options for the growing organization than other products.

Consider your business and user needs carefully.

What do you like best about the product?
It is quite easy to navigate around in Intacct.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't like is that after I complete a receiver or inventory draw it doesn't take me back to the main screen.

Being able to track items easier. We were not using a specific software for purchasing before Intacct, so using Intacct is so much better than before.

I think as far as the other software that I have used that Intacct is the most user friendly.

What do you like best about the product?
It is straightforward and user friendly! I love the option to customize so many features and invoice templates/statements/email templates, etc. The functionality they allow you to customize i feel is a major benefit even though it takes major setup sometimes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The AP module is a struggle with credits. I know they are working on it but we need more functionality to apply credits. I also hope they will improve the emails that go out from the system and ensure they don't get stuck in people's spam.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are utilizing departments and subaccounts in order to better align our financial reporting to the structure of our business. Having detailed departmental financials to support the consolidated financials has given our business leaders additional insight to the business in order to make operational changes accordingly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure it checks all of your boxes but if it does check all of your boxes, it will do a great job for you. The system is super easy to learn and can give you a lot of insight into your business.
