Sage Intacct Review
What do you like best about the product?
The format is pretty easy to use. The bucketed financial statements are helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I need to duplicate a tab to work within the same company, but this causes the system to work extremely slow
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Much more up to date accounting package than some others that take more time and more manual entries.
Intacct
What do you like best about the product?
Tagging transactions with dimensions instead of using posting to specific account segments allow for a more simple chart of accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The out of the box reporting is great but not as flexible as crystal reports (which I'm very much used to).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reporting capabilities are awesome and a fantastic fit for any company that has many account segments in their chart of accounts. Really good fit for not for profit organizations.
Good, yet challenging software
What do you like best about the product?
It's a great way to keep track of several budgets at once and can handle lots of information.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform is complex and can be difficult to navigate at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of tracking multiple high-level budgets. We've been able to track budgets and payments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have a great team to implement the software and time to make sure all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Good software
What do you like best about the product?
Able to customize the system for billing and cash posting purposes
What do you dislike about the product?
you can’t build reports easily for things I need. Also you can’t get email confirmation when you send invoices
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
That I can keep invoices in a draft status to review before posting. This allows less invoicing issues
Sage is ok
What do you like best about the product?
It is pretty easy to use. Things are labeled and obvious so it doesn't require a lot of training.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting options are not robust. We still do a lot of manual work for our balance sheet and income statement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Sage for our accounting software. It has been useful for GL accounting, AP and AR
Very adaptive
What do you like best about the product?
We utilize Intacct for all our clients, from small businesses to $100M companies. The program is highly flexible and integrates well with other programs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The program is more complicated to setup due to it's flexibility. The user interface does pose a slight challenge to the smaller companies that are used to QuickBooks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We initially utilized Intacct to solve an issue with governmental contract reporting. The reporting requirements were becoming a burden on the legacy system and with Intacct we have saved thousands of hours a year on just formulating reports.
Could Based success

Sage Intacct
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the ability to customize reports through the use of custom fields. Organizes data in a clear and concise matter.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software can be cumbersome as all ERP software can be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Used to manage opportunities and all information associated with the respective opportunity. I run opportunity reports in order to build and manage my opportunity backlog.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a more affordable and easier software suite than the larger ERP systems (Oracle, SAP). Consider it for smaller operations.
Intacct is good but I miss QuickBooks
What do you like best about the product?
It was easier for me to code to multiple locations. Quickbooks didn't give me that opportunity.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lot of click-through. Reports are time consuming to run with a lot of click through also. Cannot delete anything so any errors kept showing up causing confusion when accountants downloaded reports on their end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to be able to code and sort out multiple locations. This made it very simple to keep them organized and properly laid out.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's good if you need to include multiple locations easily. Definitely find someone who has used Intacct before to do set-up and training. My accountant did ours and our past data in Quickbooks was all over the place with errors.
Flexibility and power
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to build your own reports to match existing formats used for audited financial statements, to essentially embed in the ERP what probably took many hours each month to produce using data downloads and manual manipulation in Excel
What do you dislike about the product?
There really isn't anything I can think of that I would say I dislike about the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've seen a much more streamlined chart of accounts and our clients gaining efficiency by being able to see business insights quickly using dimension filters, rather than having to manually deconstruct and recompose data
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to get your data organized before implementing, as it will be well worth it. Intacct can do virtually anything you can comprehend from an ERP system, from Contracts to Order Entry to A/R and Collections, to Project Management, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and Cash Management ... and of course, a best-in-class financial reporting package including customizable, role-based dashboards featuring drill-down into underlying transaction data. You can track employee time and expense as well, and allocate to projects. To properly capitalize on the conversion to Intacct, however, it will pay off to really put the time in to scrub your legacy data first: get rid of old vendors, GL accounts rarely if ever used, etc.
