Riskified helped us automate our checkout review process
What do you like best about the product?
It automatic. Once it's running it just does it's thing and we never have to worry about it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't think of anything. We implemented it and it worked as expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to automatically filter our fraud orders instead of having a full time employee do this manually for every order. We were about to eliminate that job function saving us a significant payroll cost, even after the Riskified fees.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of sending in chargebacks for review. The process is streamline and simple to complete.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more reporting options, particular on the failed orders.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem we had was spoofed and false orders, particularly generated outside the US. Riskified provides that peace of mind.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Riskified has proven time and time again to keep us safe from fraudulent orders. Our chargebacks have decreased significantly, and Riskified pays us back for the few that make it though. The tool has paid for it self multiple times.

Using Riskified definitely helped us cut back on fraudulent purchases.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had a fair number of false rejections that could create headaches for our support team. Some of them were customers that were well known to us and had been purchasing for years, and others that we chose to take the risk on have become good customers since then.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riskified has taken a lot of the guesswork out of determining which transactions are valid, but we still have to make our own judgement calls on occasional flagged orders.

What do you like best about the product?
We are using it as provider and I can of course admit that it helped us with the managing of the clients and there are less fraudolent customers.
The chance to have a fast support is very useful, we receive feedback after very few hours.

What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment I think that in my case, the option of providing feedback to single email addresses can be a little bit stricky. It would be better to make that option for distribution lists for example.
This is not very useful because we have part time agents who don't work here all the time and even because they can be absent (for example holidays, sickness etc..)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have less contacts, especially in our case we manage the customer in a better a faster way.
An important feature in our case is the releasing of the Pre authorization; after 24 hours it has released. The customers are less angry then before and in our case this is the most important thing.

It is very useful to help the customers to have a better service and solution. In addiction, you can have more information about the client and have a bigger overview.
In our case, the verifying of frauds has been a huge help, a lot of fraudolent customers have been blocked before ordering and for us is a total earn of money. I think that in Customer services it is a very important and helpful tool.

Top efficiency to fight frauds
What do you like best about the product?
Excellent tool to spot fraudulent transactions. The platform is quite intuitive and can be learned in a day. Riskified had made us a couple of training during the first days to learn to use all the features.
The platform learns very fast all the fraudulent patterns of your business and within second give an answer. The answer is usually very accurate (for sure most exact than ALL the tools of the market we have tried) and when order is declined it shows you different categories of risk (fraudulent, high risk etc) and this allows you to have a better idea of the potential thread. When entering to an order, you will see a self explanatory dashboard with all the information you need to understand the main factors of the decision (location, shipping, velocity etc).
As overall, with this platform we have seen a huge decrease of fraudulent transactions and manual work within weeks.

Process to resubmit for approval an order is quick but very strict. it have improved on the last year but there is still some points that might be improved

- Stop fraudulent orders before the system, avoiding to have stock unnecessarily blocked in orders that are not real/good
- Avoided loosing money and inventory on transactions that will end up in chargebacks

What do you like best about the product?
Fast and simple notifications for each order received which clearly indicates what we need to do next regarding orders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we get decline that should be an approval but no system is perfect and that can usually be resolved with a discussion with the customer. If the customer doesn't enter into a discussion then it was likely a fraud attempt.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When selling via a shopping cart solution like Shopify, we get limited card information so we can't do manual checks with the issuing banks. To do that would mean we have to comply with a higher PCI Level and use a 3rd party gateway/merchant bank, that isn't very feasible or practical for a small business. This opens us up to fraud but using Riskified allows us to detect and insure against fraud. We haven't had any issue with friendly fraud or chargebacks since using Riskified and new attempts are stopped early.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I installed Riskified years ago via their Shopify app and have been using it since that time. While I can't fault the technology and what it did for us I cannot in good faith recommend Riskified to anyone considering it as a fraud tool.
I have updated this review on 3/10/2019 after we received an email from their Director of Customer Success saying: ...."If you would like to continue using Riskified’s service, we will require a minimum fee of $3,000 per month."....
I suppose our business isn't considered important to Riskified and I'm ok with that as we are a small business so won't make them as much money as other clients. However, if you don't want my business as it is right now, why should I trust you with my business as it grows over time. That is the reason I would not recommend Riskified to others.

Worry Free Fraud Protection
What do you like best about the product?
I like the piece of mind knowing that I don't have to worry about fraud and that I'm protected against chargebacks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the occasional false positives. While it doesn't happen often, it can create awkward customer service interactions as we don't always know what to tell a customer that has been flagged for fraud. I also prefer to be reimbursed directly for chargebacks vs receiving credit towards next months fees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Riskified has freed up resources that I would normally have to put towards order verification.

Riskified has a long history and solid reputation for analyzing risk in transactions, and reimbursing you when they get it wrong.

The user interface is very nice and easy to use for all of our agents. The account management team is quick to respond with any questions.

I think the portal is easy to use, but I think it could integrated in to our system better to give agents more visibility without logging in to another portal. This will come with time.

The fact that things are immediate, most often for the customer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to see more purchase attempts included in the SMS feature, to alleviate unnecessary customer friction.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I w as able to work closely with Lily on my idea to give people that were declined additional resources to allow false/positives the chance to revisit their purchase attempt in an effort to overturn with additional information, she agreed and this started with an analyst (life saver up to 24 hour turn around), later adding on further system review with additional detail (Clipboard- later adding on ability to advise whether we spoke with customer, or not (to cover cases we have in a manual review state as well)) and finally the SMS capability starting up as an additional tool. Was happy to see this evolved into an overall program "Second Look" that others can take advantage of having less customer friction across the board. Has been great working with Lily!
Riskified is a vital tool for any eCommerce business
What do you like best about the product?
We have used Riskified for approximately 3 years and have seen a dramatic reduction in our chargebacks and fraud. We trust their analysis of our orders and only fulfill order based on their recommendation. If any chargebacks do occur they immediately step in and refund the orders which they approved / insured.
What do you dislike about the product?
Over the 3 years of using Riskified I have seen vast improvements (and flaws fixed). In this company current iteration, I really do not have any negative things to say.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riskified has greatly reduced our order fraud and have given us the benefit of having a safety net. Their analysis of our orders is a vital tool in our day to day operations and ensures we do not suffer any big losses in any given month.
