It offers AI based learning that is quite helpful in enhancing user skills. Helpful in quickly training team with desired professional skill. It offers affordable, easy to use and reliable team training model. Customer support is good.

Hands-on learning enriches experiences at your own pace

  • February 12, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I have been using Udemy to take courses, particularly one focused on Google's programming language. Although I have not completed the course due to time constraints, I find the platform excellent for self-paced learning without the need for an instructor to be present one-on-one.

What is most valuable?

Udemy provides the opportunity for hands-on experiences. There are labs available for users to run so that they can experience the real thing, not just the theory. This allows them to encounter real-life situations and learn how to handle them effectively.

What needs improvement?

The platform could improve by classifying courses into beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Additionally, collaborating with governing bodies to offer certifications from original organizations like Cisco would be beneficial.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate the stability of Udemy as eight out of ten.

The platform offers a variety of courses, unlike others which focus on specific subjects. The course certification is instructor-based and not linked to the official bodies involved in those courses.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Udemy is not currently a scalable solution since it offers a wide array of courses without relying on a single product or service. As such, scaling is not necessary in their unique category.

How are customer service and support?

I have never contacted Udemy support as I haven't encountered any issues requiring support during my courses.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Neutral

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

In my current organization, users mainly use Code Cloud, LinkedIn Learning, and Microsoft's learning platform due to our focus on Azure. Prior to joining my current workplace, I used Udemy since it was less expensive and provided a variety of courses.

How was the initial setup?

The setup for Udemy is straightforward.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Courses on Udemy are less expensive compared to other platforms, allowing learning at one's own pace.

What other advice do I have?

For those passionate about computing, networking, or programming, Udemy is one of the best platforms to choose. It offers affordable courses that you can take at your own pace. I did not have any issues using Udemy.

I would rate Udemy Business ten out of ten.
