Very easy for our small team to deploy and manage in the day-to-day.
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji is making it super easy to bring our fleet of Macbooks to SOC 2 compliance. Also, I appreciate that once we spun it up, we haven't really had to babysit it. The team that onboarded us was helpful and responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing local accounts on a device through Kandji is limited and somewhat awkward, although this doesn't come up very often.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC 2 compliance, a fast turnaround on getting it deployed in the first place, and not a lot of time required for configuration and management given our small team with limited bandwidth.
A bright shining star in Apple device management.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use, kandji is very user-friendly to set up and administer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the alerts are not clearable and are acceptable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
with ease of use. it is no longer a cringe to set up new users on an Apple device( Macbook).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are using another MDM for Mac or Apple device management. take a Demo look at Kandji. We struggled so much with our previous vendor. The ease of Kandji was a no-brainer for us to move to.
Wonderful MDM solution
What do you like best about the product?
I love the visibility of our Mac fleet. Other software we used either wouldn't work with Mac, or it was situational at best. The ease of use and understanding was welcome as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say I dislike anything about Kandji, but I would like it if I could reset a user's password or add an account from Kandji.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping apps up to date! Forcing apps to stay current has cut down on a lot of help desk tickets that just required an update. The custom app store has taken traction and has been a nice benefit as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just take a look at a video of Liftoff in action! Setup for new users is super simple. Blueprints allow for granular customization. It's easy to set up and use!
An MDM that you can actually use
What do you like best about the product?
We struggled to find an Apple MDM that was usable. Kandji is that product. The interface is well thought out and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this point, we do not have a dislike. We like the idea that they are always improving the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing applications on macs and ipads is now easier. Deployment is faster and setting up AD integration is easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We found using Kandji has made our lives easier. We had Jamf but never got to a point of being able to use it. When we asked for help, they just wanted us to read the documentation and watch videos - Kandji's team got us using the product quickly.
Good feature set at an affordable price
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to understand UI
Easy to understand procedures for deployment
Great TCO

What do you dislike about the product?
No major dislikes at this point. Product performing as per our expectations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easier management and tracking of apple hardware at an affordable price point.
Quick to set up, easy to manage and a good fit for the smaller companies among us.
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji is simply... simple, really. Whereas other flavored Apple Management Platforms provide much more, Kandji prefers to keep it no-nonsense and keeps out the many bells and whistles that you don't necessarily need to make your fleet of Apple-based devices bend to your will.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being based in the Netherlands, it is a bit of a hassle to use an American-based product because of the timezone difference. Perhaps a UK-based support team will remediate that. Also acknowledging alerts and dismissing them entirely needs a bit more work. Yes, I am well aware of the things that may not work, let me acknowledge that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem I solved within my current company is the lack of device management and proper security enforcement. Getting the whole fleet signed on makes it easy to manage them. apply the necessary applications and settings via the Blueprints and if a device gets stolen, I can turn it into a (albeit, very expensive) paperweight. Users are also quickly onboard with the zero-touch deployment, leaving them only to enter the necessary information for their account and then let Kandji do the rest.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Íf Jamf hasn't been able to help you due to it's complexity and the amount of devices that need to be managed: Give Kandji a try.
MDM for all
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use UI that anyone can pick up on, easy to investigate and troubleshoot machines that are causing problems plus the support team is very good at helping with any queriers you may have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of the reporting, which I'm sure is coming soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing our fleet of devices and being able to auto-enrol devices from purchase makes the whole on-boarding process smoother
Kandji - Winning for ease of use
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji could not have been easier to implement from time of purchase to go-live, we were launched within a week. Templates galore to help with multiple compliance levels.
Easy integrations such as DEP, Slack, and AD.
Sales, support, and cust. success have all been super responsive with every question.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not specific to Kandji, more of a general dislike, as this is with all MDM solutions out there; forcing zero-day OS software patches is complicated. Often end-users are confused by multiple requests to reboot. I've seen this with every Mac MDM.
Reporting needs to mature. I would like canned reports such as aging systems.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote management, inventory tracking, and software patching. All of these are covered and are benefits of MDM.
Kandji Review

Its easy to navigate such a powerful tool
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike not having more admin settings
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Kandji, we have a truly effective and simple to navigate device management solution which allows us to scale easily with the company's growth rate. One of the benefits is being able to navigate and configure what you need to deploy for devices quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you can afford this device management solution for your Apple-run small/growing business, I strongly recommend using Kandji. It's easy to learn, setup, and deploy.
Fastest & Easiest MDM Deployment Ever
What do you like best about the product?
I was able to onboard and get it deployed in less than an hour with clear instructions on setup/integrations.
Very simple straightforward interface while still providing all needed configuration/functionality.
Lots of builtin app configs (Library items) and lots of vendors have docs for custom apps too.

What do you dislike about the product?
In app reporting could be better, like on device info org wide. There is an API to access data though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote management in all remote world, no dedicated IT support personnel so we need to tools to allow us to support devices as efficiently as possible,
