One service, infinite mapping possibilities
What do you like best about the product?
I can create visualizations (data storytelling), maps, applications. It's better than Google Earth and Google Maps. Arcgis online is a professional service that is constantly updated. Geographic data collection through surveys is fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has a very high barrier to entry, as it is challenging to use. I would like to see improvements in UX Experience and user role definitions. I want the price to be a little lower.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I efficiently take data and save costs in human resources. I generated a dashboard for citizen complaints and inquiries to the government, and thus we offer better service to the community. I use Survey123, QuickCaputure, and Dashboard in a fully integrated way to provide solutions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can download the generated data in Excel and CVS format for other programs and take advantage of all the automation tools. You can also download the desktop versions of ArcGIS. The possibilities are infinite. And almost nobody knows how to use it, so you will take advantage of ArcGIS

Pros and cons of using ArcGIS online
What do you like best about the product?
Enhance data management and makes intraorganization data sharing easy and convinient. Also give sone access toseveral tools for analysing and understanding the spatial data a lot more
What do you dislike about the product?
COst, i believe it should be a complimentary part for licensed users. Even though the subscription fees are nominal i believe it should free particularly for student studying at tetiary institutions atleast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a significant amount of non GIS users in my organization but whose jobs relates to map production as final output. Arcgis online providd them with a platform with which they create, manupulate and share GIS data and maps with minimal training or knowledge of GIS.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The benefits definitely outweighs the small subscription fee. Particularly for the non GIS user. Its definitely 'must have' for any organisation that shares spatial data via the web

Good concept however available maps, UI, and collaboration tools are lacking

Ability to overlay existing mapped data on top of chosen points is great.

-While there are thousands of maps that are available, basic types of maps seem to be lacking.
-Many maps are limited to US only
-UI is often clunky and annoying (e.g. editing the symbols and colors of points on maps is not an ideal process)
-Perhaps most frustrating is that the collaboration tools only allow for sharing with other people however they cannot edit and save the same file (I.e. like any Google product). Super frustrating.

Coming from MapInfo into ArcGis, it has made our lives easier. The program is easy to use and has faster processing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Still new to it so just the learning process. We just finished the online trial and are in the process of getting our final program up and running. Should be in the next few months.

We create boundaries for our stores and draw maps. We are able to change and update boundaries/maps when needed. We also use it to pull sales data for specific areas drawn.

Do the trial to see all the possibilities the program has
Sharing and Collaboration is easier plus more functionality

Color map and Shaded Relief map renderer and 3D visualization.

There are not many options for (Data types) to add the data directly from the local computer.

Sharing data online and collaboration among the group members is very easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your company is sharing a lot of data online and sharing data to the user and has a lot of spatial data. I recommend AGS online.
