Great add-on but not a good standalone
What do you like best about the product?
the versatility for the layers and the options
What do you dislike about the product?
That you can't get all the functionality with fonts, etc that you have in Pro. Once you share from ArcGIS Pro to ArcGIS online, it's very limited if you want to add any more data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the need for maps of several areas, with ArcGIS online you can show all those areas by using bookmarks.

ArcGIS Online for public view
What do you like best about the product?
ArcGIS Online makes it easy for a government agency to have a public facing version of an on-premise Portal for ArcGIS.
What do you dislike about the product?
For our setup, it's a disconnected environment between Online and Portal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes it easy to update data from beyond the firewall and collaborate with other organizations, without opening the firewall.

What do you like best about the product?
Collaboration capabilities - easy to share work with colleagues
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuring accessibility to different maps, apps etc. - very confusing to give the right access to the right people
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Surveys, organization-wide maps
App utilization such as Survey123
What do you like best about the product?
AGOL makes it very easy to access you applications from any location. I utilize the Apps such as Survey123 and Business Analyst. The simple Survey123 format makes it easy to collect simple or very detailed data depending what we are requiring. We also utilize the Survey123 to engage the public.
What do you dislike about the product?
Biggest downside would be cost for an organizational account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Citizen engagement utilizing Survey123 applications. Fish tagging program with our fish and wildlife dept, Harmful Algal Blooms

What do you like best about the product?
Sync, easy to use, customizable, easy for field staff
What do you dislike about the product?
disconnect with survey123 data, would like to see table views with survey like we can on collector

What do you like best about the product?
WebApp Builder is easy to configure and great for customizing web apps fer many specific business use cases. It is easy to provide access to maps and apps to user across the company due to the online platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult to work with enterprise data that is hosted behind the company firewall. When deploying a custom web app, it would be great if there was an option to upload the custom app to AGOL itself in My Content and host and deploy the app through AGOL versus an internal server.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving issues with data silos by making maps available to users across the organization. Benefits include ease of use, content control through roles and groups, and ease of making data available to many users through a web url.

What do you like best about the product?
I am a pipeline engineer who has always used google earth and .KMZ files for routing etc. We recently moved our mapping system over to ArcGIS Online, which has made routing and system design a cleaner process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one disadvantage I have noticed about ArcGIS Online is that the imagery isn't as up-to-date as GoogleEarth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Revision control is in my opionin the biggest problem with GoogleEarth. When multiple people are working on the same KMZ there is always going to be problems with revision control. ArcGIS Online solves those issues by being a real-time platform.

What do you like best about the product?
I can access my content at one location. I also like the fact that it can be accessed from anywhere and not being teid to a desktop.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am used to the desktop version so is hard to find functionalities similar to the desktop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using it for reviewing data and do some kind of a data analysis.
ArcGIS Online k12 Education
What do you like best about the product?
It is game changing that Esri provided acess to k12 educators to use ArcGIS Online in the classroom. This provides students with vaulable access to critical thinking and problem solving skills. Students now have the ability to practice their spaital analysis on a platform that GIS professionals use to help build the future.
What do you dislike about the product?
N/A - However, more training for educators to continue using GIS would be benefical.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use ArcGIS online in a K12 setting to introduce students to problem solving skills.
