Complete ABM Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Demandbase's DSP + personalized advertising capabilities are what the platform is known for, but the tool does everything well. Off-site intent, onsite engagement, targeting and personalization (at scale) of ads, personalization of web pages / landing pages, ad performance reporting, website performance reporting, account performance (pipeline, close rates, book/won revenue), sales activation and more - it has it all and does an exceptional job across the board. Demandbase offers great documentation in their resource center with trainings, certifications, and pre-packaged playbooks allowing you to get proven ABM programs in-market quickly. We have also received phenomenal support from our Account Manager and CS team who are knowledgeable and fast to respond to any questions. Our Demandbase team will loop in solution engineers and technical product support teams to help us resolve integration issues. Our Account team has been instrumental is getting campaigns off the ground and into market.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX in Demandbase Classic isn't terrible, but a little sub-par for a tool aimed at Marketers. That said, it looks like Demandbase One addresses this issue. The platform could improve the sync/integration with Salesforce. Most companies have poor CRM data hygiene (incomplete, duplicate, incorrect information), and Demandbase has struggled to sync data back to accounts in cases with duplicate accounts or accounts with inaccurate/incomplete information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily, we needed to deliver our sellers with data and insights allowing them to better engage with their accounts. In addition, we were looking to personalize touchpoints along our customer journey. Finally, we also needed to be able to quickly and easily report on performance. Demandbase has helped us solve all these issues. The onsite (engagement) and offsite (intent) account data is collected by Demandbase, and the platform you are able to see aggregate and detailed information. We have been able to execute highly targeted and personalized advertising campaigns at scale. We can now quickly and easily deploy personalized pages - whether they are foundational pages or temporary landing pages. We are also able to show the impact our adsat scale, audience management and insights. Demandbase allows our team to do it all.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Other platforms might do certain things better, but the Demandbase platform offers a complete ABM platform capable of doing everything required for a modern, best-in-class ABM program. The platform is robust enough to handle 1:1, 1:Few, or 1:Many programs. Scale is not an issue, and the platform can even be used by Demand Gen teams looking to be slightly more targeted in their efforts. Beyond that, you'll get great support from your Account Manager and the CS team. Demandbase is an easy choice.
great as ABM, just okay for analytics
What do you like best about the product?
ABM features, but your sales and marketing teams have to be trained and prepared to use them, otherwise it just gets used as an analytics tool which isn't worth the cost. Also, during the pandemic everyone has been working from home so we expected to not be able to identify as many visitors, but Demandbase's technology worked really well to identify visitors even if they're using a non-company IP. Also just the analytics features are very useful to empower our sales team with knowledge of which companies are potentially interested in our services.
What do you dislike about the product?
In a perfect world you'd be able to capture all visitors, but you can't. 50% is the worst I've seen (campaign was targeting SMBs which are hard to ID), but normally you get 70-80% depending on the industry. I think it helps to know the platform works best for mid market or enterprise audience segments, while small businesses don't get registered as they may be using home IP addresses and such.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us run successful account based marketing programs internally and for our clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Speak to sales, you can be critical and they will be honest with the capabilities, you'll be very happy with Demandbase if your team is excited about account based marketing!
Great Value and Incredible team!
What do you like best about the product?
How easy to use the platform is and how insightful and helpful the Demandbase team is. They provide insightful strategy recommendations and are quick to respond to emails and questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, easy to use and start/pause campaigns as necessary!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Increasing awareness and further increasing our reach within our target account lists. By using Demandbase we are able to reach our target audience in a different channel that does not require their email address. It provides valuable insights into who our target accounts are searching for, and allows for us to be positioned as a thought leader.
Invaluable corporate intelligence
What do you like best about the product?
It is a rich trove of information about key contacts at companies I'm researching
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a while for InsideView to catch up when people move to new jobs, but that's understandable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding contact information for the right people within organizations. The benefit is reaching people faster and more efficiently.
Good Resource for Contact and Lead Generation
What do you like best about the product?
InsideView is easy to integrate into our CRM (SalesForce) enabling me to gain a reasonable level of insight about my client or prospect's employment status and recent publicly available information about their employer. There is also a mechanism to update my SalesForce information with updated or augmented (e.g., e-mail, telephone, company address) with a click of a button though at times it is not always current since our clients tend to move relatively frequently to other companies. If the lead or contact is not in the InsideView database you can either add it, or go to their search function and see if it is discoverable by exploring company contacts. I can also find additional contacts by searching on job title within a company using various filter functions to narrow or broaden my search for new leads. I have found it to be very helpful and recommend it for business development purposes, which is the extent to which we have used it.
Set-up and onboarding was very helpful and customer support has always been very responsive. I find the price to be reasonable for what I get out of InsideView.
Set-up and onboarding was very helpful and customer support has always been very responsive. I find the price to be reasonable for what I get out of InsideView.
What do you dislike about the product?
InsideView is only as good as its information sources and while good, there are a number of occasions where a known contact in the company cannot be found in InsideView's database and I have to add it manually (which also contributes to InsideView's keeping their database current via community support - not a bad thing). I would have liked if I could download lists of new leads or contacts into a separate database without incurring an additional cost, but there are limitations I suppose to everything, but to me it is a limitation and a cost that seems to be a bit much for something I think should be part of my base package.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lead development and contact information and insights to augment my CRM information. We have gained new leads that we otherwise would not find without a lot of mining of disparate sources like LinkedIn.
Huge fan of InsideView Insights
What do you like best about the product?
I love the user experience of insideview - its clean, easy to understand, and organized in a way that allows me to pinpoint specific areas of the account that I want to research further.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't always have insideview access within salesforce, that may be more of an internal configuration or bug issue but it would be helpful to know who to speak with about that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
InsideView is helping me save time by consolidating various research topics into a single place. Typically I would have 50 tabs open, trying to figure out what websites to gather information from that are accurate, etc. but IV filters out a lot of the additional time spent researching and qualifying the quality of information
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't be shy to explore the other tabs within the product. There is a lot if information you can extract and time you can save by leveraging the data surfaced in IV
Save time and improves accuracy.
What do you like best about the product?
Finds information I otherwise would not find or take the time to find.
What do you dislike about the product?
No downside that I can think of. Even if information is missing some of the time, it is still a great tool for my overall responsibilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding company / account information, key contacts, and recent news and social posts,
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Implement inside of Dynamics CRM is a great use case.
Insights provide real-time prospecting intelligence!
What do you like best about the product?
LI Contact export to Salesforce, News alerts, org charts, and turnaround time on updating records. For example, when researching a prospect's website, using the InsideView plug-in...I was able to see a story about expansion and new hiring.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing outside of the space's limitations to get the most accurate data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acquisition announces & PR releases. Great that I don't have to setup my own Google Alerts for companies in my sales territory.
Very Helpful, but be careful of old data.
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to navigate and filter
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the employees you find are no longer with the company
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You can use it gather good knowledge of technologies and weak points before prospecting
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it to your advantage and understand all of its features
