  • June 28, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Modular architecture - very clear, scalable, easy to maintain
Elasticsearch for searching
Clean codebase, follow SOLID Principle
Frontend with Atomic Design, BEM methodology
Support polyfill
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation for implement React is still sketchy
Bridge is superfluous in my perspective
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spryker is a huge platform with many build-in modules, provide solutions for almost every trouble I got when building an online shop
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spryker is really well suited in case your shop aims for having millions of users, cross country.
However, if you just want to build a small simple shop, less feature. You don't need to use Spryker.

Spryker - suitable for multi-store, multi-language, B2B and B2C solutions

  • June 28, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Spryker supports multi-store, multi-language, B2B and B2C. It helps to achieve faster time to market delivery of our projects. The system itself allows to parallelize work between engineers efficiently, and it takes only a few months to launch even the most complex projects.
Spryker separates the front-end from the back-end allowing to scale the application without any additional need to adjust and refactor the codebase.
Spryker has a customizable checkout and workflow process. Allows mapping of complex business processes using the state machine.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is quite steep and experienced developer team needed.

The documentation structure can be improved, there are good materials in the documentation, but I think it is not easy to identify them due to the way they are structured.

The development community is still small, however, the Slack Community is continuously growing and there are some pretty active members on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main benefit of Spryker Commerce OS is that you are able to build highly customized solutions. Spryker is a good starting point for new projects, since it comes up with a big feature stack of different modules, and this allows you to extend existing features or build new ones to fulfill your client needs.
Another important benefit is that the big out-of-the-box feature stack and the modular structure of Spryker help to achieve faster time-to-market delivery of your solutions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spryker Could Commerce OS is very well suited for companies that plan to have high load/availability systems with a large volume of orders or plans to implement an omnichannel business model. Less appropriate for building standard shops, where no customization is needed.

Highly customizable solution for interesting and unique projects

  • June 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The great customizability and features set offered by Spryker's architecture. The feature-rich REST-API makes unique and non-traditionals e-commerce projects possible. Due to the modern technology stack, solutions developed using Spryker are flexible and scalable, making them future-proof. Developing is also quite fun as soon as you get used to Spryker, thanks to the interesting customers and use-cases that are attracted to Spryker.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is quite steep and takes some time to get used to developing actual projects. Due to the community's relatively small size, it can sometimes be hard to find help for very specific questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Projects requiring unusual and unique concepts benefit a lot from Spryker's customizability. There are rarely features that cannot be implemented because they are limited by Spryker's infrastructure or technology.

  • June 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Fast time to market
- Well maintainable code
- Reduce the need to have in-house engineers
What do you dislike about the product?
- Spryker Cloud Commerce OS requires a lot of boilerplate code. It may be repetitive or overly formal
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Spryker Cloud Commerce OS as a tool for building our clients' e-shop solutions. I supervise engineering teams, 30+ engineers in total working on Spryker. Spryker Cloud Commerce OS itself, helps us in dealing with complex business logic requirements and enables effective scalability for our clients.

First of all, it reduces ambiguities that may occur when multiple engineers are solving the same problem. Spryker-imposed code standards help us in keeping our overall project quality high.

Secondly, it helps to achieve faster time to market delivery of our projects. The system itself allows to parallelize work between engineers efficiently, and it takes only a few months to launch even the most complex projects.

Not a Shop - But the only Enterprise PHP eCommerce framework to build custom solutions at scale

  • June 16, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Spryker is based on Clean Code, Solid principles and features a very clean architecture. Since it is a framework it enables you to build whatever you need, and let it scale seamlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the components are a little dated and should be updated by the core (e.g. Symfony 3 vs. 5 which is current). Also, some of the architecture constraints should be updated to current PHP standards so that the implementation benefits from new library and software components.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are building B2B enterprise solutions for industrial customers. The main benefit is that you are able to build highly customized solutions with Spryker.

Spryker Review (tech perspective)

  • June 14, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the focus on code qualtity and its taking care of SOLID principles.
What do you dislike about the product?
Caused by its modularity, you will end up having a lot of dependencys. They getting managed by composer, but still there is no easy way to get started with a feature selection and build it up step by step. All features require project level changes you need to know or figure out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Spryker for ecommerce projects and solve customer business processes. Later on its always followed by necessary customizations, since spryker-eco integrations never 'just' work out of the box. Spryker is a good starting point for new projects, since it comes up with a big feature stack of different modules and this allowes you to extend existing features that will speed up your implementation process.

Spryker - actual the best shop solution if you do not want an out-of-the-box-solution

  • June 11, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Scalability of components like you need it. The shop is highly customizable, with many existing modules to use or the ones written by yourself. It is easy to integrate into your current services and to connect to new services. Spryker supports multi-store, multi-language, B2B and B2C and has a customizable checkout and workflow process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lots of boilerplate code, hard to learn (to customize), only for shops at Enterprise-Level
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We realized shops with many articles and article variants in a B2B setting with multi-store and multi-language setup. The shops integrate with existing services like ERP, marketing tools, PIMs, and payment solutions. One of the most attractive benefits is that we combined a couple of car databases and fleet management with offering car-specific products to the customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go the Spryker way when customizing it - otherwise, upgrading will make many headaches.
