Overview Magento Open Source is the leading open source e-commerce platform, powering online stores for organisations of every size. This image delivers Magento fully installed and configured, so a complete e-commerce platform is running within minutes of launch. The current release available is Magento Open Source 2.4.
Application Stack Magento Open Source. PHP 8.3 with OPcache and the extensions Magento requires. Apache 2 web server. MariaDB database. OpenSearch for catalog and storefront search. The Composer dependency manager is preinstalled for ongoing site management. Magento's cron lifecycle runs every minute under a system cron entry so indexer, reindex, email and lifecycle jobs fire automatically.
Secure First Boot On the first boot of your instance a one shot service generates a fresh MariaDB password and a fresh Magento administrator password, unique to that instance, and writes them to a root only file. No shared or default credentials ship in the image.
Ready To Use The Magento code tree, document root, web server, database and search engine are all configured. Browse to the instance address to see the storefront, or go to /admin to sign in as the administrator to build the catalog, configure shipping, configure payment, and run the store. Magento accepts requests on whatever hostname or IP address you reach it on.
cloudimg Support 24/7 technical support by email and chat. Help with Magento deployment, upgrades, performance tuning, extension configuration and database administration.
Use Cases Online retail and direct-to-consumer storefronts. B2B and wholesale ordering portals. Multi-store and multi-locale e-commerce. Headless commerce backends powering custom front ends through Magento's REST and GraphQL APIs.
