Toad is a great tool for using SQL and is key in our developmental process.
What do you like best about the product?
Toad is very user friendly, and has many features that allow it to be tailored to an individual's needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there can be unexpected errors that are not clear as to why they occur.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Toad for code development.

Oracle shouls provide TOAD with the product
What do you like best about the product?
No web based gui to perform many of the things that you need to do, data modeler and query optimizer are a big plus
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to say, as a PL/SQL programmer I prefer SQL Developer for pl/sql code development

I can monitor multiple databases simtaneously

For admain and application tasks can't be beat

Speed of startup, it can sometimes be slow to launch

Very easy to filter data to provide to business colleagues. Easy to check database structures and to trouble shoot application errors. I've been using TOAD for over 15 years through different versions and have introduced it when moving to new jobs
A good tool for DBA
What do you like best about the product?
It is a robust app that make your admin life easy. Support for many Oracle instance. Very good optimization tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Price is a little high, but a good offer is always available. Setup on some system is a pain.

TOAD is a must have for Oracle Database professionals of all kinds
What do you like best about the product?
Easy access to a plethora of database information. I was introduced to TOAD in 1995 and have insisted on having it at every job since.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything to dislike about TOAD.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In an Oracle eBusiness Suite world, it can be challenging to find data. With TOAD you have a powerful tool to search objects and discover interesting new pieces of data.
Convenience to manipulate databases
What do you like best about the product?
convenience to manipulate databases in all aspects. Much better than Oracle SqlDeveloper.
What do you dislike about the product?
inability to access the backup files exported by Oracle expdp command.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Edit and debug DB packages. Easy to control several DB objects at the same time.
Couldn't live without it

It connects me to all my databases through one front end and provides me with the analytical tools to make sure that they are running at peak performance. The ribbit sound at startup is cute :)

there is nothing at this time that I dislike

troubleshooting queries, performance, data analysis, etc.

compared to other like products, Toad is the easiest to use.

I could do everything (administration, development, report, etc.) for all my databases.
What do you dislike about the product?
To change from one instance to other easier.

ERP, materials, etc. The benefits are the faster answer to our users.

The tool is so robust and has many features related to database monitoring, data gathering, daily EBS administration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since it has many feature, the menu sometime very confusing and clutter.

E-Bussiness suite data issue, such as order management, inventory, shipping related data.
