It’s useful but has its issues
What do you like best about the product?
I like the reports you’re able to run and save in the different formats.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s very temperamental and can act up a lot of times. Always seems like new versions are coming out to download.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of changes in accounts.

It can be temperamental, just be patient.

Slow and archaic
What do you like best about the product?
Functionality and ability to be integrated with multiple databases in Toad helps with performing a variety of analyses. Making changes to tables is also easy with Toad.
What do you dislike about the product?
Toad has an archaic UI and is incredibly slow while opening. IT also crashes several times, slowing down the process even further. Toad also has long periods of lags and other software hangs while working on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use this software. The learning curve is very short. Anyone with a database experience will be able to use it in a minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The performance could be a little sow, also it took a while to set up the database connection.

Data analysis. It's so easy to sort the result data.
Great software. Perfect for an Analyst that works in various environments.

Can work with multiple odbc connections/connectors with ease. Error reports are detailed and helpful.

Interphase is a little clunky. Specifically when trying to enlarge script editor and result windows

Mostly ad hoc. Pulling together analysis from multiple databases within the company. I realized that within my company there are several databases where we host our data and with Toad I can easily connect to each source and pull data within one tool
Simple to use
What do you like best about the product?
Simple, straight forward interface with easy to find tools. It's also light on system resources, something other SQL clients have a problem with. The object browser is slick easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I have a SQL statement open and switch to a different connection, it won't let me run the active statement on the new connection unless I switch back. Not much to complain about really.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to query an IBM DB2 iSeries database, which doesn't have a nice GUI itself.

What do you like best about the product?
Very fast data delivery. Love the drag and drop

Sometimes the transformation and cleansing tool could be better utilized if there were a few more capabilities.

Pulling data from multiple data sources.

Nothing in particular other than the overwhelming features that needs to be learned.

generating data sets from multiple reports and matching them.
Helpful for an SQL Novice
What do you like best about the product?
Despite what many others would say I quite like using the GUI. The views are also easily customized.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish some of the menus and objects were more intuitive. Sometimes I find myself digging through menus for options and the errors are difficult to decipher.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solve both clinical and financial problems with Toad. We find quick access to our data when using the tool.

I would spend time understanding your data and learning some basic SQL skills before diving in.
Toad best tool for connecting to databases
What do you like best about the product?
this tool is easy to use compared to sql developer.it has more functionalities like sql loader, comparing files which makes it more productive and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
the tool shuts down intermittently.all the work which is not saved will be erased due to an unexpected error.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
developer can connect to databases and change data and provide excel reports. data can be transferred from a flat file to the oracle database. user will be provided with reports and sql queries can be run.

less expensive tool with more options for developer, very user friendly.
