Unreplacable but sometime frustrating
What do you like best about the product?
Schema compare ( the old version), export data 0l excel. Debug og PL/SQL
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes about 15 clicks to close toad, Very slow to reconnect after timeouts.

I have been using TOAD for the last 10 years
What do you like best about the product?
I like the business module that can kill a job currently running

the GUI design takes some time to get used to

I use TOAD to monitor our Oracle database and find any problem it may have. It helps me to solve some performance issue

Easy navigation through schemas and sessions. Love this tool to help monitoring during performance issues.

Ease of being able to popup tables and quickly see table and objects specs in another windows so that I can continue coding

Debugging is more cumbersome than SQLDeveloper

Custom development using a COTS solution where the back-end code is PL/SQL

Don't just buy the base version. More advanced versions include TDD, code reviews, etc.
Use toad for all my Oracle connections

Simple to use for connecting to Oracle Databases. Allows for easy set up of TNS files and really easy to export data into many different formats.

Nothing really to dislike, tool worked as designed.

What do you like best about the product?
I am not a user of Toad, but I procure Toad for our Oracle team. Maintaining the software is a breeze, and the team at Quest is wonderful to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I can think of that would deter us from purchasing again.

Our database administrators have used Toad for years to manage our University's financial systems, and has been overwhelmingly reliable.

I like working with data and be able to discover business opportunities and provide insights to support decision making.

The errors messages when uploading data sometimes are not meaningful

I use it to connect to different databases and schemas which allows me to upload data and extract data set using sql queries.
Somewhat difficult as a very new user, however, after a few days it was extremely easy and intuitive

The ability to quickly retrieve data, multiple data sets as I refine what I need, and them export to excel for my company reports and analysis.

Could definitely use more beginner examples of how to use basic SQL and then how toad allows you do the same steps easier.
