Efficient client tool for Oracle Database Development
What do you like best about the product?
Toad is the best software for managing Oracle in many ways:
It never hanged while connecting to the Oracle DB.
I am using Toad for the last three years as a Database Developer.
It provides easy access for all DB objects through the schema browser.
It provides the very handy feature of pattern searching in a Schema browser tab.

What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly speaking there is not a single thing that I dislike about toad for Oracle. Toad always fulfils my needs. It works smoothly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Well, I have more than 20 schemas and more than 16 Terabytes of Data with the help of a toad, I can easily search through the schema browser tab. I am designing databases and managing databases with the help of Toad.

A pioneer and trailblazer for DBMS
What do you like best about the product?
Organized and customizable user interface; coverage of all database related activities; reasonably easy and intuitive;
What do you dislike about the product?
Been using it for years and have yet to find something to truly dislike. If I had to make *any* suggestion for improvement then it would be to give the UI a fresher look but that’s just personal preference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick access to the database backend for queries and simple to moderately complex SQL statements.

Perfect for anyone comfortable with SQL who wants to make their lives easier

The ease of use and the features that Toad for Oracle has been excellent and unmatched compared to others. Obviously, we shouldn't compare the freeware with Toad for Oracle. But the amount that we spend is well worth.
What do you dislike about the product?
I havent really come across any that I need to highlight.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Toad for oracle to connect to our oracle databases. It helps us retrieve data(of course) and BLOB, CLOB etc features and other small features it has.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The software is definitely a great tool not just to retrieve the data but it has other add-on software which we use to automate processes using windows scheduler.

What do you like best about the product?
As a novice SQL user, I like that TOAD includes features for exploring the data and building code. It is helpful as I become more familiar with SQL syntax and with my organization's data warehouse.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is hard to navigate between the visualize and build and explore and edit code menus. I feel like it can host many tabs which feel like layers that I can lose things in. It is also frustrating to have to re-establish the connection to the warehouse every time I log in, maybe this is standard with querying systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Querying any type of data that I need that is up to date without relying on pre-built reports or extracts.Toad is an easy way to parse through large data sets to answer questions with the most up to date data available in the warehouse. In our industry, this is particularly helpful for claim and enrollment data.

Toad for oracle is very easy tool to access the database. We can easily learn this tool. Toad for oracle is very easy to set up. We can easily update the database.We can easily do the entries in the database with the help of SQL in Toad for oracle. We can remove or delete the entries from the database. We can save our authentication details in this tool so it will not ask for id again and again.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is very slow to access the database and takes the time. There is no GUI implemented in this tool so we have to type all the things manually. Sometimes it asks for license again and again whenever we are trying to login that is the waste of time. It should save the license and do not ask again and again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Toad for oracle is very easy tool to access the database.We can remove or delete the entries from the database. We can save our authentication details in this tool so it will not ask for id again and again. We can execute the selected line only. We can do the entries like update, create, delete easily in the database with the help of Toad for oracle.

Toad is very easy to learn as well as easy to setup.

Toad is very slow. Sometimes it takes more time to complete a task. We need to type the each and everything. It doesn't support GUI.

If you have loads of data processing to do, extraction and uploading this is the way to go
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to connect to many data sources. We connect to local and cloud databases and move information from one place to the other seamlessly. Scheduling works like a dream and is super reliable
What do you dislike about the product?
There are things that are not simple to figure out - for example, automation of complex excel reporting is not obvious
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ETL for our database related processes. We collect a massive amount of data from our data providers, the likes of Reuters, Markit, large housing associations and we process this data to add value. We also run an extensive operation involving valuations of complex derivatives that require a massive amount of data to be processed, saved and applied across different applications. Toad has made the development of these processes agile and easy to work with. One of my favourite features is the verbose logging which pinpoints where particular jobs have failed. We also use it as an alert tool which monitors the presence of expected data using preset tables. This aligns us with regulatory obligations that require us to have systems that check for the presence and accuracy of the data we work with.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When you are working with an Oracle database (or any database that works with Toad) then buy Toad. Especially if your business heavily relies on the ability of systems to upload, transform or extract data - this is the place to be.
