RHEL 8 is now more easy to administrate

  • November 05, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I am RHCE 7 certified engineer since I need to upgrade my certification I started learning RHEL 8. Redhat 8 is not easier to operate and transparent. Being an administrator/Engineer I more like the cockpit rhel 8 service which will allow you to access the server from the web and also allow you to access the terminal and even your system CPU/Memory utilization can be viewed.
What do you dislike about the product?
As such no bugs and features, I see. Redhat is continuously improving its software
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have an automated ansible server from which we use to administrate about 500 of RHEL servers to automate tasks and cronjobs. Also We have a webserver and database server associated with RHEL 8.

Red hat linux

  • September 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Out of all the linux based operating system that I have used, ubuntu and Red hat are the only distros seemed to filled with functionalities. Red hat linux is a boon for a developer and the certification is far more easier when it comes.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing about red hat linux is that it is very constricted when it comes to user ability. There are multiple commands that the user needs to know and the graphic interface is not up to the scale that's what every front end developer says.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been developing softwares and many things and I thing by far red hat linux is beneficial for me but the fact that it needs a certification and a huge load of experience is a hapt stop for me.

RHEL - Best and Reliable Operating System

  • August 27, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
RHEL is a very compatible OS with good support through the RHEL site.
It is a very reliable OS and compatible with third-party applications.
It is a very secure OS by default, and it can be hardened further.
What do you dislike about the product?
RHEL license is quite expensive, and all the additional support comes with a cost.
GUI needs to be made more user-friendly.
The upgrade from one version to another version of RHEL is quite complicated and needs to be more accessible and easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to install a third-party application for a client, which can be installed on Linux only. RHEL is best in security and compatible with the applications. The customer support we got from RHEL was commendable.
