Easy Expandable Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to expand upon Spotfire to do what I need to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
The multiple locations for common actions, it confuses new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualizing linear data, production data.

It's intuitive and allows you to drive a narrative around your data.

What do you like best about the product?
I have used many analytical tools in my job and Spotfire is top notch tool, it makes data mining, data cleaning and data analytical exercise fun and efficient!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no UNDO button, so if you mess up, you have to do it over :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualizing the data with charts , provide insight into real world problem and provide recommendation on solutions.

Spotfire is very intuitive and an amazing tool for Organisations reporting needs.

There’s nothing to note on disliking TIBCO Spotfire.

Clear and useful visualisations to present Exec reports and helpful detailed reports to analytical audience

What do you like best about the product?
What I love about spotfire is how easy it is to link to data from outside sources. Once you have the data imported it opens the door to a good variety of visualization options and then with the scripting to can customize them to meet your specific needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a steep learning curve with the scripting. When the network connection is unstable you loose the connection to your data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to display our data in dashboards. Before we used Excel for almost everything but once we went to spotfire all of our presentations looked cleaner and we were able to utilize more advanced visualizations like box plots.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Utilize the training.It is a very powerful tool but it will take time to really be good at it.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that there are a lot of very useful features and shortcuts for the everyday analyst. This tool was made by analytics professionals so the tool does exactly what it is supposed to
What do you dislike about the product?
it's not very sexy out of the box, but with a litle bit of make up now that css and html you can do astonishing dashboards if you are using the tool for that. If you are looking for insights and answers, then there is no need for makeup. As an analogy, Spotifre is a great cake with great taste but the look and feel might not be for everyone. However, they unleashed the power to the end users to make it look nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anything from descriptive to predictive analytics. Mostly descriptive in my case, but I have seen it doing great things. One of the benefits is the availability to clean, transform and massage the data with out of the box tools that no other tool has integrated as well as Spotfire does.

Spotfire is not a tool, it's a platform. Very flexible and very powerful tool at the right cost.
Excellent Interface and Customer Support in Business Intelligence Product
What do you like best about the product?
The way that the product is always improving, the flexibility of the way it allows for the exploration of data and customer support available. The interface is very intuitive and easy to learn. Also, the improvements in the ability to edit data wrangilng have been huge!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the product does some heuristic predictions of my intentions that end up being incorrect and it leads to more work to undo the predictions. I would love see continuations to the interface to for data wrangling that would allow for moving the order of the combination of data joins, and the ability to use wild cards in the selection of columns for different transformations. That would be awesome!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data delivery to large numbers of users specific to questions that they are asking. The benefits realized is that it has expanded the ways that we can examine information, leading to more targeted questions and better decision making.

TIBCO Spotfire is a very complex system. It works very efficiently and has an easy-to-use interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
Almost nothing, sometimes I have a problem with finding information in the documentation. I think that doucterment needs improvement.

Great performance. Tricky on some points, but great.

Great one to display and manage really big volumes of data. Better between 2 million and 50 millions rows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of sexy visualizations. If you compare it with other market software. Also lack of source code to manage stuff faster on some cases.

Fast communication with high volume of data.

It's a great and technical tool. No so good looking. But great performance, admin and reliable.

With Spotfire, if you can think of a viz or functionality you would like to do it is possible to implement

The wide-open nature of the tool leads to complexity of implementation, developers need to understand .xml, java, python, r and also the spotfire syntax/ table structure

Be sure to connect reguallary with Tibco and have a strong understanding of the various coding languages required

What do you like best about the product?
I like the best on Spotfire the ability to integrate javascript libraries easily. It will enable you to create custom visualizations. Also the data handling in javascripts is very good because spotfire will give it to you in JSON format.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like on Spotfire is sometimes it crashed and you cannot do anything to restore your changes.

Tibco spotfire help us deliver limitless dashboard. We are able to deliver any type of visualization demand.
