A great help!
What do you like best about the product?
Spotfire is the best tool I have come in contact with for graphics and maps for presentations in my career.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only problem is that imported shapefiles can not be edited in Spotfire.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data realization and trends are much easier to visualize in Spotfire and being able to interact with the map for data selection is a huge help.

What do you like best about the product?
I've worked with multiple visualization tools through 7 years of my career in data analysis and definitely spotfire is the best product I've used, it is a powerful tool capable to accomplish simple and complex tasks, from analyze excel data to predictive business analysis. It has built-in visualizations that can be extended with D3 and other visualization libraries by using js.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hmm, I think there is an opportunity area regarding the visualization layout and themes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm mainly analizing operational data from administrative areas as finance and operations, the main benefit that I have realized is that I'm now able to deliver data solutions faster, allowing our business to move faster and be competitive

What do you like best about the product?
Great experience for analysis. I personally use it to analyze data in the manufacturing industry and it’s user friendly and really simple to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Importing data with large excel files and lack of customization on graphs.

Evaluation of metrics in the manufacturing industry.
Great BI Software
What do you like best about the product?
The TERR engine allows me to implement a wide array of open-source libraries.
What do you dislike about the product?
Accessing REST APIs is not trivial for the average user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spotfire reduces the time and learning curve for Petroleum Engineers and those in the industry to slice/dice and analyze their data.
Pretty decent reporting tool, can enhance some motte

Visuals In Seconds! Tap and boom , different modes for different environments if needed

What do you like best about the product?
This software is extremely intuitive, I learned how to effectively use the software in less than a day and was able to use it to make my anchor project findings for my internship easy to understand for the upper management I was presenting to. It's super easy to use and customize to what you want it to look like and convey. Furthermore, exporting is also extremely easy and you won't be prompted to do anything difficult to use your findings in other application services - like powerpoint.
What do you dislike about the product?
The filter settings for your data are very stringent and will apply to everything, so you do have to be weary about filtering, or create a new page for your next visual dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This solved my a problem of us being able to quickly and easily display in depth findings and draw actionable conclusions based on the data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you sit with another member of your team and see what they use the software for, or work on a project together, it'll be much easier for you to understand. This works great with syndicated data reports.
TIBCO Spotfire - One stop visualization solution
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the customization offered by TIBCO Spotfire through HTML/Javascript/IronPython and R language. It helps create customized great visualization which provides capabilities to the client who use our companies tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
It gets slower as the size of data increases. Load data on demand is the solution but it would be great to have faster querying time for bulk data sets also.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use TIBCO spotfire for working on my company's well analysis tool. The tool is also used by oil and gas clients and I help in maintaining the front end to meet client's requirements.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a pretty common tool used in oil and gas sector for analyzing wells and assets data for different basins, play and subplay. It can be equally useful in other sectors. It has great training videos. So, no prior experience required. Go ahead if you want to experiment the tool!
Great software for quick data visualization
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature in my opinion is that you get to create your own data columns and input equations within the same app instead of changing the data source. I also like that it gives you the ability to customize your dashboards with java and python.
What do you dislike about the product?
When updating data sources, you have to manually update all of the other sheets that use those same columns which is a very time consuming task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spotfire provides the ability to create rapid prototypes of applications or even the ability to quickly validate analytics/data.

Lots of tricks can be used to manipulate your data to be read and interpreted as easily as possible.

Application takes a while to load at start up

Good BI/Data VIsualization Software
What do you like best about the product?
Spotfire allows for data-visualization of large databases -- whether they be in-house or via a third party (AWS, etc). With the wide variety of options, we are able to customize dashboards and meet clients needs. The cloud services allows remote work from anyplace -- not requiring an application installed on the machine.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dashboard/controls can be daunting to a first time user. It definitely requires a lot of training for development or advanced analytics -- just from navigation to getting a functional template. Customer support can be difficult to deal with -- they are often outsourced and the language barrier/clarity is frustrating when trouble-shooting why something is not working correctly or how to improve your interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to visualize millions upon millions of rows of data within a single dashboard -- plus constantly adding weekly data every month. Business managers are now able to pull a lot of data themselves versus coming to marketing (Saving time).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have dedicated and trained developers or admins available in-house to assist employees. Expect a learning curve when trying to implement the transition.
