Reliability, Support levels from Redhat is a concern

We are using redhat linux as an operation systems for various application servers and webservers where non-windows operating systems are supported by the application vendor.

What do you like best about the product?
- Provides very good customer support which is essential for a a business looking for uninterrupted services.
- Provides regular patch releases for security updates
-Red hat Linux is certified for the cloud making it more reliable
- It has built-in security features which aid in the overall security of the environment
- It supports newer technologies which is quite helpful for businesses evolving at a faster pace.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Upgrading from one version to another version could have been easier.
- TOP command could be more user-friendly.
- Sometimes It could be difficult to find packages
-Overall Its good and I don't see much issues using it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Better security for the application running on the OS
- Very good customer support is available for enterprise users which is quite helpful
- It is well documented even for the new users.
- OS Updates are available on regular intervals with required security patched in between

Great Security Comes with Great Linux Distribution

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful was it's security and Capabilities as the distribution supported most Penetration testing tool. Great UI, and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well there can certainly be improvements made for supporting all packages just like a more commonly used distribution like Ubuntu.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping me with easy of access to secure operating system and operating environment and most commonly used penetration testing tools are available for easy access with some useful packages.

I like that it's a good alternative to years of Microsoft Windows dependency, and the speed of support is very good. Best of all, communities support

Needs specialized knowedge to implement the system.

We needed one standardized Linux operating system. Red Hat provides a solid enterprise solution for these types of servers.

What do you like best about the product?
RHEL is dependable and well documented. It's stable and there's experienced support available if you need it.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't have as many packages available out of the box as some other distros.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It underlies our Ceph cluster and our AAP installation. It provides a solid based that is much more likely to work well with the workloads that run on top of it.

I don't really have any complaints but haven't used it in years.

What do you like best about the product?
Redhat is a powerful OS that can be used for enterprise-level applications and work.
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit of a learning curve for novice users, but in a workstation GUI setup, should be fairly straight fowqrd
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RHEL provides a user desktop for our customers.

Also the support through red hat. It depends on the engineer

We deploy rhel 7 through Chef config and are moving away from that for rhel9
