QlikView makes PDF reports so much easier
What do you like best about the product?
Nprinting lets you easily make PDF outputs easy

its an extra cost to the base qlikview or sense, at least with our contract

Lets us setup PDF outputs of dashboards

Excellent way to view and tell stories about data
What do you like best about the product?
I love that everything within the platform is interactive. Being able to drill down is a very powerful feature. Much better than run-of-the-mill static charts and tables.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve was steep, but not impossible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a unique way to give our staff members a view into how our organization is performing against predetermined goals.
Quick Access to needed project data
What do you like best about the product?
It is extremely easier for me to review my 40 projects all at once in one place when using Qlik.

We have been using Qlik for about a year now since we converted and there is not much that I do not like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accounting, Financial, Margin
Great built-in ETL component and fast response, makes this a great tool.
What do you like best about the product?
Working with several disparate and legacy data sources, we needed a tool that would help us unlock/untrap data and Qlik Sense’s built in ETL tools was the perfect fit. It is easy to add a complete variety of sources from different platforms and blend it all into locally-stored data models that make reloading and manipulating your data incredibly fast. I think the ETL tools completely out-perform established tools like Informatica Cloud in every way, from loading to transforming and even auto-scheduling.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things I disagree with about Qlik, but mainly it is their pricing. The token model is not a good fit for us, we have many dedicated users who need their own token, so I feel like we are over-paying for these users. Also, like any software company out there, the slick selling of products based on future features is sneaky, but seems to be the industry norm. Be sure you are comfortable with their product roadmap before you sign.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had lots of trapped data that required software engineers to write custom SQL queries to get at, and thus our access to data was horribly slow. Qlik Sense allowed us the ability to get the data out quick, fast and cheap without revamping our entire legacy database platform. Now we have more data than our entire team could utilize building out reports and dashboards over the next 10 years. Be prepared to add a few analysts to do nothing but build apps and dashboards once you go live! As when users get a taste of what Qlik does on the visualization side, they will keep on asking for more.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start with the free trial tool, it is a fully functioning version. You will be amazed.

Streamlines our reporting process - getting away from the crazy excel report we have. Analysis tools are amazing!

Hard to drill down into certain items. Otherwise I don't have any qualms about it!

Qlik Sense can do it all
I have been using Qlik Sense Enterprise for about a year now. Coming in with very little coding and data experience, Qlik has allowed me the opportunity to feel accomplished in setting up dashboards and quality applications, with excellent self-training and class-training along the way. The online community is a thriving group of helpful professionals who have almost always encountered and fixed the problem I am experiencing.
The product itself has been able to do just about anything our users have requested in terms of apps and dashboards. We haven't found anything to disappoint us yet!
Qlik is fast, fun, and flexible
What do you like best about the product?
Qlik's fun and easy interface gives our users a sense of excitement in playing with the data. Its ease-of-implementation has allowed our Analytics team to present large quantities of information in ways that have never been viewed in our company at speeds that give us the ability to adjust apps on the fly.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have honestly not found anything that we cannot do within Qlik. If I had to choose something, it might be the limitations of specific Charts in not being able to add more dimensions and measures, but that is just being greedy, picky, and unrealistic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are creating automatic reports from manually-generated reporting within different departments, and we have given some summary analytics of our memberships and some AMAZING Geo-Analytics mapping apps for targeting and planning purposes.
Qlik Sense - Combining many data sources into one reporting tool
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to show the end user actionable data through all of our "disconnected" systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, there is a bit of technical know how needed for data sourcing and "cleansing" but it allows for some pretty neat ways to present data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are identifying what sells and when. We also are able to identify sources of cost. Once the costs are identified we can start tracking changes to see if our action plans are successful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Create a test environment to see what Qlik can do for you. Once we saw the data in one single location we knew we had picked a software that would help us win.

1) Set analysis is strong but takes time to learn

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Conduct an inventory of your internal reports (author, audience, frequency, etc.) to get an idea of the company's needs and who will actually stand to gain the most when Qlik is up and running. This will inform who needs to be a part of the internal working group and also prioritize what reports get done first.
I also recommend taking an assessment of skill sets for your analysts. Qlik Set Analysis translates very well to those with MS Excel or Access or SQL experience.

Qlik Sense is easy to connect with data sources and it is even easier to design a dashboard!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that the dashboard design had a little more flexibility for those of us who prefer to customize.
