Web base solution for many branches and multiple companies

Acumatica licensing was changed, different if compared with licensing when we buy in 2011

Ease of use

What do you like best about the product?
I like that i can upload from excel (payroll, voluminous line item payables/journal entries)
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that i can't see the remittance address when inputting payables
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acumatica provides greater flexibility for financial statement preparation; it also segregates duties better.

Web based. Works on any browser. Has phone app for remote access.

Reports can be frustrating. Need more database information for reports.

What do you like best about the product?
Navigation within the system modules and help sections.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of sufficient canned reports, cash flow statement doesn't seem to work. Too much modification required to create new reports or run financials in separate ways.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Inventory primarily and purchasing process. We've streamlined our purchasing process to utilize the 3-way match within Acumatica. Inventory is still being dialed in.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to hit as much as possible before go-live. We had a large number of issues after going live that required substantial support and allocation of company resources.

From Quickbooks to Acumatica

What do you like best about the product?
The program is fairly simple to use once you get the hang of it. We went from Quickbooks to Acumatica and it was a little bit of a learning curve in terms of the way we had to change the process in which we do things.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that many of the reports do not reflect the information that we were accustomed to seeing on Quickbooks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a more accurate accounting solution for our business. We do have more accurate numbers, but it was a very long process in getting here.

What do you like best about the product?
The Financial Reporting capabilities and flexibility is excellent. The cloud-based (offsite) data storage is a space saver for us as we scan all payables documents to the cloud, so no document retention requirements. The remote server aspects save us much time, effort, and expense with server management, patches, updates, and licensing costs. We run multiple companies on the same platform, which extends our investment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features are just far too complicated or overkill for smallish business. Due to the nature of our business, we use only a subset of the many, many features. Payroll has become so intertwined with HR functions, that we must offload that to payroll-specific providers. It is a fairly expensive product, given our limited needs, but exit costs are pretty high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
basic accounting. Saving lots of warehouse space for document retention, lower IT costs and headaches. We also use this product for several real estate limited partnerships, in addition to the restaurant use.

(We have sold Wright III Foods, Inc., but this is not reflected in either our software somehow, nor in this review. We are now operating only EPL Ventures, LLC. and five limited partnership real estate and investment companies. The real estate companies are transaction light, compared to the restaurant company.)

Excellent product. Very feature rich, with more functionality regularly added.

Why Acumatica? Easy one: Simplicity

What do you like best about the product?
Acumatica help us to put order in our organization, becuase is very simple to use. All our users say this from Acumatica, other ERP's are very powerfull but also very difficult to manage, so Acumatica gives what we want in the way we want, simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Acumatica don't have a suite for Service, this is a problem for us because we do post sale service for our products. Also his Fixed Assets suite do not work 100% like we want it, we have a dificult way to manage our fixed assets, we treat them like regular items, so we move them from some place to other from customer to customer, so even if we go for another ERP we are gonna have the same issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simple Workflows, Acumatica don't have a strong module for workflows, but for us it doesn't care because for the simple way of work of Acumatica we don't need it. So we go from A to B in no time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to do it simple, do it in the Acumatica way.

What do you like best about the product?
It's an intuitive ERP, it has lot of functionalities that adjust to any kind of company around the world, it's easy to work and easy to customize.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime it's difficult to get some new features from Acumatica to add in next Builds or Versions, additional it only works perfect with Microsoft technology, it should be more open to another technologies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving a problem related to contracts, to get all the information with all differents kind of contracts that we manage, acumatica is very usefull because it offers some funcionalities to get full Traceability of the information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good ERP for Pymes, it meets all the main requirements for any company, good support from Vendor and it continues Evolving.

So Far So Good

What do you like best about the product?
It's web-based, but you can host it either on site, or they can host it for you.

There's a feature where you can make a change to the code, compile, and restart the website, all within the website itself - Pretty cool.

They have the option of licensing it based on the number of _processors_ rather than per user or per transaction which works well for our company.

I also like the download to / upload from excel.

The import scenarios have allowed non-programmers to import information into Acumatica.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although it has a nice integration with Authorize.net out of the box (the only option out-of-the-box), I've been having a lot of trouble sending customer payment profile information to Acumatica via Web Services.

Also, sometimes you get a stack-trace for an error that doesn't give a very good hit as to what is going on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a book distributor and we use it to manage our customers, purchase and sales orders, and finances.
