Excellent notification (and more) application

What do you like best about the product?
We've been an EA user almost 10 years now and are extremely happy with the product and support. Some things to mention..

* Great looking interface
* Very robust piece of software and they continue to add new features.
* Easy to schedule oncall (drag and drop and it remembers your pattern)
* Easy to run Alert policies based on emails. It also interfaces with a lot of monitoring systems
which makes setup easy.
* Remote actions do the work for the user keeping you out of it! They can send an email to EA and a script will run
if they are in the correct security group taking care of whatever process you wish. We use it for licensing.
* SMS Broadcasting is great for mass notifications of downtime. We use this monthly for our outages of critical systems
* Easy to setup notification channels. We moved to a cloud based VOIP this year (cost savings) and it
was so simple to get setup and cutover.
* Support is awesome! they work with you on problems and even upgrades if you're nervous. You don't have a good
company without good support.
What do you dislike about the product?
* No dislikes. Its a solid app and I've never had any complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
* simple friendly interface that makes it easy for users to schedule their oncall. It shouldn't require an
IT guy to get the job done.
* oncall scheduling with multiple methods of notification.
* Easy to alert via email messages based on subject or body information.
* Disaster Recovery! Use the included SQL server on the same box as EA and DR
is simple with vSphere replication or Azure sync.
* Users can fix their issues by setting up remote actions.

What do you like best about the product?
The implementation of Enterprise Alert was straightforward, thanks to Getting Started. Enterprise Alert perfectly covers our processes in the company. The administration and also the use for our colleagues is simple and reduced to the essentials. In case of special requests, the support was able to assist us directly and create a solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
More notification channels such as MS Teams with the ability to acknowledge alerts from chat would be a nice feature. And our department heads would like more reporting options directly from the web interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Enterprise Alert, it was possible to implement on-call scheduling, reduce response times, and create appropriate policies for alerts. This allows us to meet the SLA response times agreed with the customer.

Making on call easy

What do you like best about the product?
The great thing with Enterprise Alert is that while on call you can sleep easier knowing if their is a priority incident it will actually wake you up. Prior to implimentation I always felt on edge wondering if I would sleep through an alert.

The support is amazing and have taken feedback to impliment features I have requested.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest thing is the confusion on the name. The product is Enterprise Alert but some places such as the mobile app it is refered to as Derdack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Missed after hour alerts and a long response time were the big issues we solved. We now have a much better response time and no longer miss alerts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great support and their staff is very helpful. I highly recommend them.

What do you like best about the product?
1. 24/7 Technical Support and online information accessibility.
2. IT and real time alerting management for emergency incidence. (IT Operations)
3.Ability to reach out to teams via created multiple notification channels and ability to fix raised issue promptly. (Emergency Communication)
4.Ability to integrate with NNMI and other event sources.
What do you dislike about the product?
1.Inability to export logs to CSV file within Derdack.
2.Inability to perform any real time network device monitoring.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Intra and inter site redundancy.
2. Two-way alerting so users may respond with acknowledgements, manage repeating messages, etc.
3. Email and voice alerting.
4. Direct integration with HP Operation Manager.
5. Incoming events alert customization.
6. Detailed reporting of notification result(s).

What do you like best about the product?
The product runs 24x7 with no issues.

From using the product, i don't have any issues, as its perfect for our environment and integration.

Very flexible solution for all you alerting

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to connect different sources (IT, technical, fire,...) using different interfaces. For almost all systems we found a way to connect them to Enterprise Alert. I also like the application toolkit we gives us a lot of power to analyze, enriche,..incoming messages before processing it. The application tookit also helps us in some cases to work around some of the limitations Enterprise Alert has for some customer scenario's.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of our customers would like to have some more reporting possibilities directly from the webinterface. They also would like to have the possibility to adapt the layout of some screens in the webinterface manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are installing Enterprise Alert in different verticals for different type of applications.
We have hospitals where we are using Enterprise Alert to send the fire alerts.
We use Enterprise Alert to send production alerts and notifications for a globalmaterial solution Company.
In a lot of cases our users were missing multiple communication channels (they only had SMS or e-mail), or an easy way to adapt the message flow if somebody was sick or left the Company,...

We are monitoring our 24/7 systems with SCOM and using Enterprise Alert for notifications. With different policies and schedules the right alerts will be delivered to the right people.

What do you like best about the product?
• Very reliable and robust system – have been using it for more than 15 years
• A large number of different interfaces for integrating with all kinds of monitoring systems (SCOM, WhatsUp, CheckMH, Nagio.....) and even production tools and machines (Enamiling line, PLCs Process Control software, MES...) / Events from these sources are then forwarded to the responsible people on-call so, they are informed and can act accordingly. If not available there are esclation processes that allow to define backups, making sure nothing gets lost
• The vendor listens to Feature Requests and prioritizes and delivers the same in direct cooperation with the customer, which is very unique
What do you dislike about the product?
In all the time we have been using the system we haven’t come across anything we dislike. To the contrary – we keep expanding use cases to have more departments benefit from the solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Too much noise – unnecessary alerts
Scheduling of on-call duties
Speeding up response times
Consolidating of communication across various systems
