Protection using WG TS
What do you like best about the product?
The Complete Network Protection uses a DNS-based content filter, AI & ML-based scanning. This technology helps the organization minimize risk at the gateway. complete visibility using reporting software dimension which builds the confidence to avoid threats using security policies.
What do you dislike about the product?
in the complex network environments, WatchGuard has some improvement scope looking at the competition offerings
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protecting users from malicious websites and giving alerts about threats, educating them on security aspects of what to access & what not. Minimizing organization risk using sandbox technology to protect from Zero Day threats.

Easy and very intuitive user interface experience
What do you like best about the product?
There are 2 ways to manage the box, either via Management software installed on local PC and also via Web Browser. Both are powerful but I'd like the Management software very much because it is light and consume less resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I'm experiencing lagging when managing the Firewall via Web Browser and accessing some menus. I already reported this to our local support and they told me that maybe this is caused by the bugs in the software
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Company network security, especially from outside threats. For example, I've experienced the problem in the past where there is no UTM in my company, this caused a domino effect where all my corporate emails rejected everywhere because there are some of my end users were compromised by spam and viruses.
Lack of support
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to set-up. Once you line up the right product with the environment the box runs itself.

I am a small IT firm person. I feel that it should not take three days for a callback on cases.

To date we have not suffered any attacks from external sources. I am confident that the WatchGuard appliance will repel any attack from multiple attack vectors. Giving us peace of mind

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. The support team is knowledgable and very helpful.

Menu system to configure and manage the firewall is not intuitive.

The Simplicity and performance of using WatchGuard, and the many Sec Services, also now the portfolio of solutions across MFA and Endpoint which is a great product

Backwards compatibility that exists in things like WSM, i.e things like MD5 still existing as an option in the latest software, elements that are no longer secure still being permitted.
Alot of users dislike the look of WSM it shows its age... I wouldn't be without WSM but its competition from a modern look from other vendors is letting the "impression" of the brand down

Easy to configure firewall with fantastic performance.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the policy testing feature. This feature is valuable to test the rule's work before they are applied or to help identify issues with rules. This feature is missing from most competitors' products.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model can be confusing for MSPs, but easy to manage once you understand it. The number of services provided can also take some time to configure and deploy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Advanced and easy to configure firewalls that can be securely managed from our head office for all of our clients, regardless of size. The firewalls suit all levels of our client base.

We like Watchguard because it gives us confidence in having a secure network ready to evolve.

Sometimes the support leaves a little to be desired in relation to troubleshooting

Several problems were solved with the solution Watchguard, IPS, TDR, APT blocked among others were deployed bringing security to the network.

For the normal user it is not visible what data the PC exchanges with the Internet. The concern always remains that unwanted activities are running in the background. Watchguard Network Security offers a high level of transparent protection.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, security comes at a price that seems quite high for normal users and small companies. Explanations from a specialist are needed here. The documentation is very good. Sometimes we are missing application examples.

Watchguard Network Security uses multiple strategies to defend against attacks from the Internet. This work is done in the background and often goes unnoticed. This prevents problems before they can arise in your own network.
