Please update this to the newest Windows version 1709!
The version 1709 - Fall, Creator's Update was released on 1/18/2018 - Now, more than 2 months later, this image hasn't yet been updated!
I need this update for providing .NET Framework 4.7.1 builtin. Updating the framework from this AMI requires a reboot - which I can't do, since I use the ami directly in a Launch Configuration for an autoscaling group.
Now, I have to make my own AMI with sysprep - which is *SLOW* to start up, due to an extra forced boot during the sysprep process. Working with Windows images is a *PAIN*. I think I'll start looking at using container's for my IIS servers instead.
It would be very handy if AWS at the very least would publish a release schedule for planned updates of their Windows images.
Please, also list the Windows VERSION of the AMI - like 1607, 1709 etc.
