What do you like best about the product?
It saves my time in maintaining in patching the server and maintaining the infrastructure. We don't have any issues since we started using this service. We have many issue with Java patching when we maintain our own infragistructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if it can make the installation & configuration a bit easier, and probably will be helpful to have the search UI integrated with Sitecore like coveo.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using SearchStax solr for the Sitecore Indexer instead of provision our own, the solr index all the sitecore context to use by the Sitecore content editor.

Unexpected configuration change

What do you like best about the product?
The quick response when submitting a ticket.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have a solr deployment in production that was working until I asked for the auto soft commit configuration to be change. Other configurations got changed as well which I did not ask for resulting in our indexing not working. As to when the other configurations got change, I am not sure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to implement a search functionality on our site and search stax helped us.

SearchStax with Sitecore

What do you like best about the product?
SearchStax provides us high-speed, reliable Solr indexing with a good SLA. We appreciate the fact that our Solr indexes are up reliably, and we do not have to maintain the hardware behind them. We also greatly appreciate how easy it is to work with the SearchStax team -they are helpful and knowledgable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost of SearchStax is high - accounts are not priced per the quoted prices on the website.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary problem SearchStax is solving is reliablility of uptime for our Sitecore Solr indexes. We appreciate not having to monitor and maintain the performance and uptime of our Solr installations.

What do you like best about the product?
It's very simple to configure and reduce lot of manual efforts. Easy to create indexes and easy to deploy and manage in short period of time. Efficient support provided by SearchStax team members during the initial deployments.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike from this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly this is resolving the problems occurring when creating the indexes and the collections from solr.

One aspect that I find somewhat challenging is the initial learning curve. While SearchStax is designed to be user-friendly, some aspects of its advanced customization and configuration can be complex for users who lack a strong technical background. Enhancing the onboarding process with more accessible guides or tutorials tailored to users with varying levels of technical expertise could help mitigate this issue.

The only managed Solr Service with excellent support for your Sitecore implementation

What do you like best about the product?
SearchStax provides easisest and fastest way to implement fully managed and scalable SolrCloud for Sitecore implementation. It saves us a ton of time in setting up and managing SolrCloud cluster by our own. I have not encountered an outage and support has been truly excellent, they help to debug and highlights critical issues early.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you need VPN peering to your own private cloud, the price could be a little high, but if you don't have the expertise in setting up and managing your own SolrCloud cluster, it is best to leave it to the hand of the experts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Setting up and maintaining a highly available SolrCloud cluster is not everyone expertise, due to time constraint and limited resources in our project team, we are glad to have worked with SearchStax in our implementation.

2. SOLR results are more robust than Azure search

1. Sizing estimation in multiple environments was not clear in original proposal
