What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about SearchStax is its unwavering commitment to delivering a top-tier search experience. The platform's robust and customizable search capabilities are truly impressive. The ability to fine-tune search algorithms, configure relevancy profiles, and effortlessly manage index configurations gives a level of control that is unparalleled. This not only enhances the search results but also empowers organizations to cater the search experience according to their unique requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
One aspect that I find somewhat challenging is the initial learning curve. While SearchStax is designed to be user-friendly, some aspects of its advanced customization and configuration can be complex for users who lack a strong technical background. Enhancing the onboarding process with more accessible guides or tutorials tailored to users with varying levels of technical expertise could help mitigate this issue.

One of the most significant problems that SearchStax effortlessly addresses is the intricacy of search infrastructure management. Before adopting SearchStax, we grappled with maintaining and scaling our search systems effectively. The platform's cloud-based architecture has alleviated this burden, offering automated scaling capabilities that adapt to fluctuations in user demand. The only managed Solr Service with excellent support for your Sitecore implementation
What do you like best about the product?
SearchStax provides easisest and fastest way to implement fully managed and scalable SolrCloud for Sitecore implementation. It saves us a ton of time in setting up and managing SolrCloud cluster by our own. I have not encountered an outage and support has been truly excellent, they help to debug and highlights critical issues early.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you need VPN peering to your own private cloud, the price could be a little high, but if you don't have the expertise in setting up and managing your own SolrCloud cluster, it is best to leave it to the hand of the experts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Setting up and maintaining a highly available SolrCloud cluster is not everyone expertise, due to time constraint and limited resources in our project team, we are glad to have worked with SearchStax in our implementation.

easy to configure. easy to use interface

many times during the development phase connection was broken and I had to reestablish the connection

Developer feedback on SearchStax with Sitecore
What do you like best about the product?
With SearchStax, almost all features are very useful for business. And one of the Best feature is recommended Search keywords. Let's say user wanted to Search but not sure about exact keyword - then SearchStax is helping enduser with recommended searchkeywords based on their developed backend algorithm.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to find out but - would recommend to develop - role based authentications on Search Studio Portal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From developer point of view - Search issue now almost zero getting reported, Client now able to generate search report, track, update analytics settings on search. Now Client easily able to find out - what actually user is looking for and it's very easy to engage.
Surprisingly Does Everything I'd Expect!
What do you like best about the product?
I was pleased to see everything I'd expect from a SaaS provider. Their documentation is clear and well-organized, their admin console gives me access to everything I need, and I am paying a very reasonable amount. Love it all around!
What do you dislike about the product?
My organization is still new to the service, so I don't have any huge gripes (yet...?). The only thing that was a little annoying to us were the features offered in their "Add-Ons" weren't part of the main product, such as the Security or Private Cloud bundles. I would have liked to see these included as opposed to needing to pay extra for them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My organization was hosting Solr ourselves using linux virtual machines in Azure, but our knowledge of all the complexity of hosting the service has led us to downtime. We are moving to SearchStax to offload that expertise.

Easy to setup, scalable, I was abble to the neccesory customizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't have that much experience with SearchStax to judge abotu the disadvantages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problem with reliable manages SOLR hosting. SS has reliable and easy to setup SOLR hosting.
High scalable and available solution
What do you like best about the product?
The solution offer <30 min SLA and able to recover from backup to support disaster recovery.

So far I have not seen anything to comment on.

On simple web hosting solutions they generally lock down the SOLR configuration. With SearchStax we can customize the SOLR configuration.
