Almost completely plug and play - really happy that we use SearchStax Cloud
What do you like best about the product?
Product is rock solid and the customer service is top-notch!
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, nothing. It's really that good!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For our clients who use Solr that needed to manage it on their own, SearchStax Cloud takes care of it all for them. And for the price to value ratio, it's generally a no-brainer.

Quick Implementation and Great Service
What do you like best about the product?
Searchstax Cloud has greatly simplified Solr Setup for our Sitecore implementation. The document was precise and clear on all the steps required. An expert team has always been available to help us with onboarding and setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far that I didn't like. May be need an easy way to maintain IP whitelisting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solr On-Prem we previously had, was not performant and had frequent downtimes. Sitecore Items indexing used to take lot of time and are not immediately available in CMS Search. With Searchstax, we have a reliable and performant Solr cloud

the pricing is high but, at the and, we are getting a good service support

Backup size. We fixed the numero of inde ed results in Sitecore size. The Search Stax help desk configued Solr in order to reduce the anount of data to be backupped

What do you like best about the product?
Searchstax Cloud has greatly simplified the creation of Solr clusters; everything is more manageable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would be nice to be able to upload a list of IP Restriction, also copy from one environment to another. Setting this using JSON would nice too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Searchstax removes the complexity of the building, securing and backing up our Solr Clusters.

What do you like best about the product?
An expert team has always been available to help us with onboarding and setup. We needed an accelerated Solr setup as we were working against some aggressive timescales, so the SearchStax Customer Success Manager and the technical team expedited processes, set up environments quickly and were always on hand for calls to answer any questions.
The SearchStax Studio product has amazing functionality that has been easy to integrate with Sitecore. We gained valuable insight into how our customers use the search features on the website and what they are searching for (through the excellent analytics provided by the dashboard), which made the search experience easier to personalise. We wanted to use the product to manage searching on a multilingual website, a feature that wasn't available when we started the implementation. However, when we mentioned the business need for this, the team assured us they were working on it, and, sure enough, they released the multi-language feature and helped us integrate it. The team was always very receptive to feedback and, as a result, even released a new feature in a matter of weeks when we presented a client use case for it.

What do you dislike about the product?
We have not experienced anything we disliked; the products and the team have been great. The only thing we would want to see now would be an enhancement within SearchStax Studio that would allow us to get even more use out of it. We are currently using it for a generic website search, but we would like to get more tailored experiences for more specific searches - for example, using Studio to build an article listing page (which would require different results configuration and relevance modelling)

Seamless setup and monitoring of Solr for all our environments. We don't have to worry about any maintenance.

The experience starts from their sales and quotes, looking into the needs. Weekly check-in till onboarding and the support they provide during the initial implementation.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not a lot to point out the dislike. They are good at what they do. There are certain things, like clearing the search index, that we need to rely on the support team. It would be better if we could self-serve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Search hosting on the preferred cloud, in our case, Azure instance, closer to our environment. Scheduled backups and easy restore capablity. Service monitoring.

- Managed Solr portal could be improved (disable features which are not in your subscription, more extensive documentation)
