Good useful education tool. easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
It's intuitive how to use it. Its easy to navigate. It neatly organises you're work so you can easily locate it
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes can be a bit slow. My university lecturers have had trouble uploading material onto it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My university uses it for educational purposes.

Good platform for uploading educational material for students. Good educational tool.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the versatility of Blackboard. The product is useful to both students and staff members.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t have any major criticisms of blackboard. It was a little difficult to navigate initially, but most questions about where things were located could be addressed through trial and error
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard can be used to share information, track grades, and to communicate.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I don’t have any re compensations for other blackboard users.
Convenient Tool for Managing Classroom & Other Student Activities
What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard is pretty user-friendly. Our IT department uploads students to classes, so from the user perspective, it's simple to use. You can add test and exams for students to complete via multiple choice, and the system automatically grades them for you. They also have a great platform discussion board threads.
What do you dislike about the product?
While our IT department does upload student users to classrooms, it can be hard to navigate when a student is not listed because they signed up for a course too late. I also wish there was an option for video chatting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps manage students that are enrolled in online training programs or classes (online or in-person). It also helps with grading and seeing who has completed training requirements.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider using Blackboard if there is technical support at your institution or company that can support technical issues. Blackboard is great, but a part of my experience is due to the fact that I don't have to troubleshoot technical issues myself.
Blackboard Virtual Experience
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to be in a group without having to be there in person. The mobile app is very easy to use and does a great job at keeping track of my meetings or classes that I attend.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not too much, the app is very smooth and the use of open source is great. From a business end the cost can be quite high. There was some issues when trying to upgrade/update. It does seem to run smoother on Firefox and safari than google chrome still. Not sure why. It can appear to be a "clunky" operation in comparison to its rivals.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps get people to meetings/gatherings who usually cannot get to the same place at the same time. Very efficient. Blackboard seems to require more processing to move data and documents, and more steps to join and add files. It needs to be a smoother operation for Blackboard to last longer. It must or services like Canvas will make Blackboard obsolete.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Must have patience. If you don't and Blackboard does not upgrade itself, then Blackboard will be useless.

What do you like best about the product?
Makes access to syllibi easy and great way to ask questions and start discussion groups

Slow on mobile devices. A lot of time consuming updates

Was looking for best way to get info across to wide audience and to track use. Worked well for users and admins.
Great software with complex capabilities.
What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard is very easy to use for multiple functions. I am able to upload documents, sort them, customize the look and feel of my coursepage, add links, and update grades all in one place. I am also able to message students right in the platform. It's a very integrated platform that's easy to use and allows me to do multiple things in one, convenient place.
What do you dislike about the product?
Blackboard's design is a bit outdated. The platform itself could look a little more modern. Also, I have experienced some technical glitches in the past.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard allows me to perform my job as a teacher with ease. It allows me to keep all of my course documents, assignments, grades, and everything else that I need in one place. It's also extremely customizable, so I can alter it to fit my needs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely recommend this software. I have previously used other platforms such as Angel and this is by far the best.
User-friendly from student and faculty perspective
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is very simple and straight-forward. I used it from both the student and instructor perspectives, and both were very easy and not at all glitch.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once in awhile, I would have issues watching or uploading video to my accounts, but most of the time, this was easily fixed by making a second attempt to watch or upload the media.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard gives students and instructors a great opportunity to pose questions or connect with other members of the course. Blackboard is simple and straightforward to use. As an instructor, I sought out a short training, and I felt the software was easy to use, but I know there was probably much more I could have done with it than I actually did. It is a great system for very tech savvy and not-so-tech-savvy individuals.

What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard has a lot of functionality, add-ins, options, customizability.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a big fan of how it handles files that are uploaded. The biggest drawback, though, is that it doesn't integrate well with enrollment management software (or at least our IT folks don't know how to make it work)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bb allows me to stay in contact with my students and push content out as needed.

Thins application is easy to use because the interface is user friendly. I also allows you to create your own tbs/categories

difficult to import data from other sources, like grades from an excel sheet

Blackboard is used for managing student data. It allows up to date information on student grades

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, having everything together in one place. The sections are easy to navigate and blackboard gives users options to centralize everything- organization (calendar), testing (quizzes), and information (documents, slides) regarding lectures.
What do you dislike about the product?
The notification system could be better, and keeping track of the scores you receive for each subject could also be more organized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Can have a full class of 1000 students receiving information as it comes, keeping up to date and take in quizzes and other quick tests without the hassle of going over to another system.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is the predominant student hub being utilized by colleges across Ontario. I highly recommend!
