Great experience with blackboard learn
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to download and post documents into blackboard. This was nice because the files remained in their original format.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much I dislike. There were times where it became inconvenient when the service was under repair and was not available for use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing documents for specific projects and communicating about different projects with various managers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely a great service for various projects. It's nice because it allows announcements to be made. It is easily compatible with your company's email system. For anyone looking for this type of service, blackboard is a great tool.

What do you like best about the product?
Interactive, easy, organized. The simplicity allows everyone to have a great experience both users and admins.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though it could potentially be a server issue, it might be slow to kid at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping class organized, uploding documentation, easy to review information!

Utilizing Blackboard in a University Setting
What do you like best about the product?
From a student perspective, Blackboard is an incredible way to view information on each class that you are taking in order to stay on top of things and succeed. The user interface makes it easy to navigate and find things like class documents, grades, and a built-in calendar.
From an instructor perspective, Blackboard is extremely intuitive and makes it simple to plan out a course and provide those attending with the information they leave in a scheduled fashion. This feature is my favorite because it allows everyone to be on the same page when it comes to a course plan.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are times that I cannot get my notifications to clear regardless of how many times I dismiss them. Additionally, as a student I have utilized the Wiki feature of Blackboard learn, and I would love to see the implementation of a Wiki system that allows multiple users to edit at one time. My team and I would accidentally edit the document concurrently, resulting in a loss of changes for one or more people.
Outside of these small examples, I have not faced any other issues with Blackboard Learn.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard Learn has allowed me to be more organized overall, both as a student as an instructor. Specifically, information is easily accessible to those who I am instructing which allows for less confusion. Additionally, communication lines are made between students thanks to the availability of the email lists per class.

Blackboard Learn is a great solution for educational institutions that are looking to provide an easy-to-use environment for both students and instructors.

The blackboard app sometimes freezes but a quick restart of the app fixes this.

What I like best is the way this software organizes the training courses for faculty and staff to attend various trainings.

There is nothing that dislike regarding Blackboard at FAMU.

The benefits that I have noticed is being able to have easy access to the various informative trainings.

What do you like best about the product?
The best part of Blackboard is the user friendly platform, everything is neatly laid out. Finding your syllabus, your modules, your grades is very intuitive.

Notifications, I receive notifications for everything, whether someone posted on the discussion board or someone posted a job.

Business problem, is related to curriculum and content and benefit is communication and ease of use for interaction.
Blackboard for synchronous learning
What do you like best about the product?
BlackBoard has a good selection of tools to use to engage and get feedback from students. I find the lay out fo rthe moderator easy to navigate. The polling and break out room features are especially helpful in fostering active participation from students (and the instructor!).
What do you dislike about the product?
I do find navigating through more than one open window/room tricky because the dashboard is such a limited configuration. With a large group of students, it can be difficult to keep up with comments or feedback becasuse you can't expand the dashboard window beyond the length of the page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard has helped Princeton Review to connect with more students at convenient times. I think with current college and high school students, the online environment is a familiar and friendly place. I have very few students who ask questions about how to navigate through the classroom and provide feedback because it is so intuitive. Blackboard has made a positive student experience in most eery case.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure to learn and understand all the features that Blackboard has to offer. Some features aren't immediately obvious to use (like desktop sharing) but can add tremedously to the user experience.

I love that Blackboard is intuitive enough for students, teachers, and admins to all use the functions they need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs a lot of updates, says it's on hold overnight, so we can't burn the midnight oil

What do you like best about the product?
This was my favorite modality I used as a student and as an administrator in my profession. I felt it was easy to use, and understand how to post on threads and comment back to colleagues. Submitting assignments was easy as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There really wasn't anything I disliked about blackboard and its system, it was easy to check on the back end, and being a student as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Checking grades status, fixing assignments, making sure students accounts were in order.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using blackboard over other online modalities, I feel this system was the easiest to use of the ones I have worked with.
