Decent Platform
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Blackboard has so much available to users and for instructors to teach in different ways.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how its not always user friendly and can be confusing for students to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Blackboard to teach my hybrid college level courses.

We use Blackboard Learn to store information, as an online learning platform for students, and to conduct University-wide surveys.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you are involved in the implementation process so you are in the know about support features and are not solely reliant on colleagues for information.
Good website for faculty and students overall

-supports many courses for one user, be it lecturers or students

What do you dislike about the product?
Blackboard need to have more readily available tutorials and training within the website itself to promote ease of usability
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I solved issues that faculties are experiencing with Blackboard. Screenshot shows me emailing the user after I have replicated it using their login details.
Learning with Blackboard
What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard is an online resource that is easy to use, and encapsulates many useful features.
What do you dislike about the product?
In certain ways, navigating through the program can be convoluted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard Learn is incredibly useful for students, and it's compatibility with outlook makes is incredibly versatile.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend taking 10 minutes to click around and become familiar in your own way with the program. Blackboard Learn has wonderful support if necessary.
A classic, due for an update
What do you like best about the product?
The notification of course files having been uploaded, the ability to make files available to students for only a certain period of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating columns in the grade center can be confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackbird makes it easy for me to provide my students with notes after lecture is done.
Quick, Painless, Simple
What do you like best about the product?
The app is fluid, no lag whatsoever. Simple menu options as well. The formatting tools in the text boxes are great, like having a mini Microsoft processor built in my submissions.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I hit the back button on my phone, it exits the app vs. Going back to the previous page. The ability to create discussion boards is nice, but when you go into a certain discussion, getting back to the board takes 3 additional steps, the back button takes you elsewhere.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is a great way to have students interact with each other, email anonymously, and share ideas via the discussion board. The idea and foundation are there but needs an overhaul of the functionality of the site, feels very early 2000's.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This program has come a long way since I First downloaded it. Nothing really to recommend, this is a great way to check your online grades and assignments.
Solid Management/Classroom Platform
What do you like best about the product?
I took a lot of online classes and it was very organized, easy to navigate and utilize from home.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functions could improve (i.e. video from professors) although this may not have always been on the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used this as MBA student taking classes online to interact with professors and classmates.
BlackBoard Review
What do you like best about the product?
This software has really improved over the last few years to add more features (like blogs etc), be less buggy and add a good app interface. Used for the majority of courses I've taught. The grading interface has gotten much better and is a time-saving godsend. Also, it allows me to easily manage all of my courses. I am able to upload assignments, communicate with other students and instructors, and send mass emails to users.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really dislike how confusing it can be sometimes. Text that is blue isn't always obvious that they are clickable links. Also, I dislike the Blackboard app and how it makes you sign in every time you want to login. It gets frustrating and annoying when I have to do that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it at SJSU to help my students access their courses and submit their assignments. Makes it easier for us to get assignments and also is more eco-friendly. My TA also loves it.

One of the best LMS software out there. Would definitely recommend it.

What I like best about blackboard is it's ease of use. I am pretty technologically advanced but it is still easy to navigate MOST of the time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes professors will put things in word folders that you may not feel is the appropriate place but one you find the file it's a little easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sometimes I wish students could make suggestions as to the organization of files and folders because some teachers don't have a clue.
Blackboard has been a great portal for us as both faculty and staff members.

The product allows fairly simple directions on how to add new courses and assignments.

Some faculty members and students have had issues with homework assignments not updating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We went through a number of different course offerings and Blackboard still won out for us with the ease of use.

Look at everything out there and see what works best for you and the course offerings you will have. Everything has pluses and minuses when you come to the set up of the product.
