What do you like best about the product?
Powerful capabilities from multiple perspectives (teacher, student, administrator). Additional integrations added to an institution's Bb environment extends that capability even further.
There will always be varying comfort levels and capabilities with technology among faculty. Bb is a platform that even the most basic user can utilize.
Anthology makes a concerted effort to host a wide variety of training sessions, "roadmap" sessions to inform users of what's coming, user groups to connect users together, focus groups to solicit input, and other miscellaneous connection opportunities. The point is they actively seek input, share information, and connect the community together! Oh! And there's the Idea Exchange where end-users can submit an idea for others in the community to vote on -- those with the most votes, Anthology develops in Bb Learn.
As with any technical tool, it takes an investment of time to learn its functions and tools. After the initial learning curve, there is so much you can do, and it's a relatively straightforward system.
Anthology is actively working to enhance their products and capabilities on an on-going basis. It's great to see so many enhancements and new features rolled out each month.
Anthology is also making great strides in Bb Data by creating a dashboard for stakeholders to access along with pre-created reports users can easily pull to extract a variety of data points. There is a lot of valuable information in Blackboard and Bb Data is working to get it into the hands of end-users.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not always intuitive/easy-to-understand settings. However, I feel this is being addressed with Ultra Course View -- things are more intuitive and user-friendly.
Help articles/explanation tutorials are not as current as they could be. This makes it difficult to learn and understand. Anthology is currently working to address this and bring materials more current.
The transition to Ultra Course View is a huge undertaking for an institution. No question, it will be worth it, but it takes a large commitment of resources by the institution to prepare and make the transition. I would love to see more resources provided to Bb administrators in helping them to lead their school through this transition.

Bb Learn is the primary teaching tool for our faculty and students. It provides a centralized location for course materials, assignment submission, communication, and collaboration.

What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard Learn can be customised according to the need of different educational institutions. You can use tools that make it easy to collaborate with students. It has so many assessment tools , such as tests, assignment . You can choose in this software whether you want to grade these tests manually or automatically
What do you dislike about the product?
Some institutions find this software expensive, in result it restricts it's accessibility for small schools or organisation you can experience technical glitches and issues while using blackboard learn which can cause disturbance in learning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard learn helps institutions or organization in solving business problem by providing a platform for online education and training programs.it can be a good platform for providing online education to students with scheduling tests and daily assignments to students.
Excellent Learning Management System!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Blackboard Learn has everything for all of my courses in one place. I am able to access materials posted by my professors, quizzes and tests, assignments, grades, helpful documents, resource links, and more!
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, I cannot think of anything that I dislike about Blackboard Learn. It is incredibly simple to navigate, and everything that you need for your class is just a click away. It has been a great tool for online classes and virtual learning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am currently only able to take classes online, so it has been very beneficial for me to access all of my course materials in one place. I am able to communicate with my professor and classmates, participate in discussions, access and view my lectures, and track my grades. Without Blackboard Learn, I am not sure how virtual learning would go.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of navigating the platform. For example, the teacher and the students are able to use it effectively like when posting messages in the discussion board.
What do you dislike about the product?
One source of frustration for me is transferring assignments and files between different courses I teach. It can be confusing and often times problematic to transfer them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard was essential during the pandemic in order for learning to continue unabated. Even now, with a return to in-person learning, Blackboard is utilized for document sharing and communicating daily.
Blackboard Learn: ease of remote/online teaching!
What do you like best about the product?
I have found Blackboard Learn to be incredibly easy to organize. With weekly content folders, students can access the course one "chunk" at a time, which prevents their getting overwhelmed with too much content.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the pros to Blackboard--that the instructors have a lot of options in how to set it up--can actually be a con for students who then see a different version of Blackboard in every class they take.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now that I teach my in-person classes as hybrids (meeting one day in person, then putting the other 50% of coursework online), it is crucial to have an LMS that is easily navigable for BOTH instructors and student users. Blackboard is that easy to set up and use!
Easier than unjamming the photocopier!
What do you like best about the product?
Two things -- First, it enables a paper-free classroom. I don't have to make photocopies, and I don't have stacks of physical papers to grade. Second, it disconnects due dates/times from class sessions. I can have them do work before we meet and adjust what we do in class based on the results.
What do you dislike about the product?
Students tend to find it challenging to navigate at first, so I end up spending a significant amount of time teaching them Blackboard. I'd love to see the mouse-over explanations of things that many websites have now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Blackboard "My Grades" feature has virtually eliminated emails about grades after they are posted. We're able to take care of any questions before the end of the semester, and therefore, explaining why grades were what they were no longer cuts into my vacation time. Huge win!
Blackboard is easily navigable for students and faculty
What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard's use of Discussion Boards allows for many insightful conversations within a forum between students and faculty. It is very easy to find items that have been posted, and everything is highly organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when a faculty member or professor posts items, the students do not receive a notification. This makes it easy for important documents to be missed by students.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard Learn has been integral in solving and aiding the current Online Learning issue that we face worldwide. It has been a significant player in how students are learning today.
Easy and enjoyable to use
What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard allows my university to present all of the information needed per class in a secure, organized space. I am an online student - this would not be possible without Blackboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only issues I have experienced with Blackboard are when there is a glitch or system issue, and it goes down. I do not have any dislikes with the functionality of the program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an online-only student, Blackboard allows me to access all of the materials necessary to complete my courses. Blackboard gives my instructor a space to include any required updates to complete assignments.
Simple Platform For the Management of My College Courses.
What do you like best about the product?
What is the most helpful about Blackboard Learn is the easy navigation of managing my college courses. I am able to rearrange all of the courses I have taken and can easily retrieve the documents. I do like the chat immensely because of the group chat and open discussions amongst my peers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides of using Blackboard Learn are the many glitches and constant outages of their system. I found it difficult to communicate effectively with the professor--it was best to reach out through my student email. I was not confident that my message was to be seen by the professor. I am not sure that my information is safe on the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefit I have discovered while using Blackboard Learn is the ability to manage all of my courses. My course information does not disappear rapidly and I am able to access my assignments and view grades.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can take tests on blackboard, have a calendar, see your grades, have many different organized folders, and I like they it has it's own built-in video software to collaborate with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
The layout is not very visually appealing, especially on the "my courses' page. I think there could be a design and color improvement there which will make it more user-friendly as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Taking tests. I like that with the tests (if allowed by the instructor) you can see how many you got wrong immediately. I also like that the answers save automatically. This is a definite benefit to my learning.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Blackboard tech support could be better.
