Great, Intuitive Firewall
What do you like best about the product?
The GUI used to manage this firewall is very intuitive and can be used by people with minimal or even no training. One can easily filter traffic for analysis and the ability to create and use objects allows for a tidy and simple configuration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Installation and setup requires a bit more thought and effort than command line firewall such as iptables. Cost is obviously a factor as this is a commercial firewall whereas open-source firewalls can be had for free.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Checkpoint firewalls to provide perimeter security. Management and configuration of these firewalls is simple and they are very reliable. Setups can range from simple to complex and technical support is excellent.
VPN firewall, secure and adequate
What do you like best about the product?
Security, it allows us secure internal access. it's safe and is relatively easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does seem to drop fairly frequently, also if for any reason external access Internet drops it requires resigning in..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a large number of internal application that require firewall security that many remote employees need to access.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great product for secure VPN access.. Works well, easy to configure and use.. It does tend to drop, but signing back in is easy solution.
The only firewall you'll need
What do you like best about the product?
Check point combines the best features of a firewall, some of them are:
* Access Control: You can manage access to clients, servers and applications.
* Authentication: assigns access permissions to individuals and groups, based on their level of responsibility and role within the organization.
* Bridge Mode: Inspects traffic, dropping or blocking unauthorized or unsafe traffic.
* User and Machine Awareness: Reinforces security by enabling policy definitions per user and group.
* Network Address Translation (NAT): conceals real addresses, to ensure that addresses cannot be seen from outside the organization or from other parts of the same organization.
With all of these features you can be sure your company is as protected as it can be.

What do you dislike about the product?
The price is the breaking point for me, it can be highly expensive. So you need to check if you can afford it. THIS IS NOT A RESIDENTIAL FIREWALL. This firewall is meant for large business and medium-startups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Network security and access management for business needs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need the BEST firewall in the business you can go blindly for CheckPoint Firewall, be advice is not for the frugal.
The Best Firewall in the market
What do you like best about the product?
I have used checkpoint firewall for many years and each evolution, upgrade of the solution is a great steps in the future. The checkpoint firewall are the firstt firewalls in the marker and they are leading since many years. I suggest checkpoint firewall for the strong security feature, for the performances, for the very broad configuration possibility (from openserver to appliances) for the very good architecture. The best quality of checkpoint solutions and in particular of the firewall is the manageent console: a dedicated server for logging and audit.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some time the system is considered a litle bit comple for SMB and it required a lot of expertize to run it... but for that there are consultant. The price is not so competitive with other vendors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
company network bondary and datacenter protection. secure Remote access (VPNs). Audit and report
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If the need are focused on security, reporting and audit.... checkpoint firewall are the best choice. The price is not always the lowest one regarding other vendors
Check Point firewalls
What do you like best about the product?
I do like the fact that you are able to manage all of your firewalls from one console. Also sectioning off your rules is a plus for grouping certain rules/types of rules together. When creating new objects, it is nice it tells you when one has already been created so no duplicates are made in mistake.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is limited to only a certain number of firewalls per console. It also limits how many groups and objects per rules and policies. Not so much that is has a limitation but that it can only handle so much before it's overloaded and lags. Having to load each policy to install it to the firewall is a bit of a pain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Stopping unauthorized access on the network.
Check Point FireWall Review

What do you dislike about the product?
The company is large, so reaching support is sometimes an issue, and the price is extremely high
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
threat emulation
anti virus blade

Check Point Firewall
What do you like best about the product?
This is a great tool to keep track and view events in real time and solves complex real time searches in no or very less time as compared to other firewalls. The user interface it provides is easy to handle. Also, tool use optimized hardware and optimization in pushing packets too.
What do you dislike about the product?
The bugs in the tool are higher and also no VPN facility makes it hard for admin to created VPN for every user. VPN policy management features are also not very much easy to use and configurable as compared to other tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our enterprise we deal in tracking real time outgoing and incoming data packets from a network. Provide secure network to work. Handle user permissions and implements logs to an event without interrupting packet flow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a good product for large organization where you need to provide secure network while monitoring and keeping an eye on any incoming and outgoing packet. Also, in this can be implemented in large organizations where network security and track keeping is more important then expense.
