Huge cut in costs and improvement in functions

What do you like best about the product?
How simple it is to add users is quite impressive compared with our former Avaya system.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not really multilanguage. Like the phone conference, you need to choose one language. there should be a way to setup at least 2.
The phone client should have an automatic DND setting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the integrated video conferencing and screen sharing, we don't need third party tols like webex anymore.

3cx Next Generation Phone system

  • April 09, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of switching extensions from office to office, when people are moved around, names change, etc. Before on old system was a hassle, now it's simple as unplug and replug. And the phone app is a life saver! Works best if you live in a strong signal area, or can keep it on wifi. The ease of changing user information, changing voicemail passwords are truly an easy user experience. Adding new extensions are also a breeze. It's a click of a mouse, and as most things are with 3cx, very self explanatory.
What do you dislike about the product?
The yearly licensing updates. Before i didn't have to pay for yearly licensing for updates, but now i do. The paging is a little lacking, in a loud environment, the noise filter blocks paging at times. The phone app is lacking when you don't have good strong signal. Also, using blue-tooth on a vehicle while using the phone app, is almost impossible. The volume of the call is so low, you have to turn volume all the way up, and it's still a struggle to hear the other person.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to have your phone extension on your cell, and go anywhere, making calls to clients from the app, instead of phone, that way strangers only get your work number, and not your cell.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure the phones you pair with 3cx are 100% compatible. Read reviews. Ask Questions. Make sure you have good backups, as 3cx can run on just about any pc, and you can get back up and going in 10 minutes or less, if you have quality backups.

What do you like best about the product?
Several years ago I needed a cost-effective phone system for a car dealership. Found 3CX and loved it. Now my company is a Platinum Partner. It can be installed in any environment, be it in the cloud, on-premise, or hybrid.

All extensions get all features for the edition selected, and there is no fee for each extension, ring group, queues, etc. No nickel and dime. They are also constantly improving the product with major releases every year.
What do you dislike about the product?
For one of the global major phone systems out there, not enough people have heard of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're often saving customers over 50% from their old telephone system and phone lines. Plus they have great remote user, call center and unified communications features
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Work with an experienced partner to make sure your system is designed correctly and users are trained properly.

    Architecture & Planning

3CX Phone System

  • April 09, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Pricing model is nice. No per line cost or per user cost. Just build the system with the number of concurent lines you want and expand that as you see the need increase.

very functional, phones, mobile app is pretty nice, Desktop client works well on laptops, webconferencing works well, etc.

Can be installed on Linux so skip the windows licenses.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would recommend going the Linux route to save the windows licensing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently using the Mobile client to allow users to use their office phone at home. Been a great feature for remote workers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great solution for companies that want to have a cost effective phone system with lots of functionality.

Saved My Company Money and Time. Works As Well If Not Better Than Our Old Cisco Platform

  • April 09, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This has been a real money save for us. For a total project cost of less than $25k, we were able to do more than what a comparable Cisco system that would have cost well in the 6 figures. Maintenance / support is very inexpensive. We spend little if any time administering the 3CX system. What administration that is needed is very intuitive. The system is very full-featured. Not only did we replace a Cisco PBX with the 3CX, but we were also able to scrap a separate add on call recording system.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting features could be better That is my main complaint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We run a call center along with our regular business. The previous PBX did not have these features in its standard offerings. We are able to easily handle and measure the effectiveness and efficiency of operators and schedule appropriate resources for peak calling times.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Although the system is easy to implement, I recommend teaming with a certified reseller., This will help speed you through the implementation.
