3CX Phone System

  • April 09, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Pricing model is nice. No per line cost or per user cost. Just build the system with the number of concurent lines you want and expand that as you see the need increase.

very functional, phones, mobile app is pretty nice, Desktop client works well on laptops, webconferencing works well, etc.

Can be installed on Linux so skip the windows licenses.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would recommend going the Linux route to save the windows licensing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently using the Mobile client to allow users to use their office phone at home. Been a great feature for remote workers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great solution for companies that want to have a cost effective phone system with lots of functionality.

Saved My Company Money and Time. Works As Well If Not Better Than Our Old Cisco Platform

  • April 09, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This has been a real money save for us. For a total project cost of less than $25k, we were able to do more than what a comparable Cisco system that would have cost well in the 6 figures. Maintenance / support is very inexpensive. We spend little if any time administering the 3CX system. What administration that is needed is very intuitive. The system is very full-featured. Not only did we replace a Cisco PBX with the 3CX, but we were also able to scrap a separate add on call recording system.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting features could be better That is my main complaint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We run a call center along with our regular business. The previous PBX did not have these features in its standard offerings. We are able to easily handle and measure the effectiveness and efficiency of operators and schedule appropriate resources for peak calling times.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Although the system is easy to implement, I recommend teaming with a certified reseller., This will help speed you through the implementation.

Still missing a predictive dialer to help with outbound campaigns b. Waiting for more integration with other channels like Whatsapp
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are all being able to work from our home office or remote locations keeping conctat with our customers throgh the Web, the phone and allowing us to host virtual meetings.

3CX, a flexible, lower cost solution for modern voice needs that is actually easy to manage.

  • April 09, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The value of this phone system is great. It's a very scalable, flexible system at a great price. The licensing models easily grow as needs do. Paying for concurrent calls instead of per phone means your paying based on your true need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the documentation needs improvement. Luckily the user forums are very helpful to find solutions to issues like complex call routing that the base documentation lacks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to create custom call-flows inbound as well as outbound is wonderful. A very powerful solution, especially when looking at value options for smaller businesses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're shopping for a VoIP solution, 3CX is a must to consider. The broad support for various SIP phones, low cost of entry, and easy to stand up a cloud-based system in minutes means it's very easy ti trial and build a POC system.

Perfect Voip solution for MSPs

  • April 09, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very low overhead meaning that an instance on your cloud provider of choice can be spun for cheap. The pbx express makes the deployment of the pbx just clicking a few buttons, you don't even need to know Linux (which is the platform of choice for this PBX and the corresponding SBCs). Easy to use interface so that those without experience with voip can still do basic functions, supports a decent range of handsets, web interface is terrific and lets users control a lot of features and settings, cool features like call flow designer and speech to text translation using google api. The pace of development is pretty rapid, meaning existing features get improved and new ones are added regularly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Super sensitive to firmware updates, have seen a pbx crash due to a phone with an out of date firmware causing a memory leak. Meeting features are behind more robust platforms like Teams, mobile app is improving but still has lots of room to grow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our clients are benefiting greatly from the ability to easily work remotely during this lockdown, without having to bring their handsets home. 3CX price points makes it easy to move clients over from antiquated hardware based pbx solutions, and to move over from other voip providers whos support suffered from growing way too fast. Also, with high availability available, and the support for softphone and mobile app, 3cx is resilient against outages at the customer sites, or even the hosting providers if you're smart about where your other instance lives.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure that you're ready to train your staff on supporting this platform before taking on a lot of business, and the networks are optimized for voip (multiple isps, managed switches, etc).

Excellent VOIP phone system

  • April 09, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
3CX is simple to maintain. It took a bit to setup, but their support helped a lot. The system has a wide selection of compatible VOIP phones to choose from. We settled with Yealink, and the setup process is very simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are countless options to configure and setup and it was a little tough to find the right documentation. 3cx did not natively support out old Cisco phones, but was able to provide custom firmware that required several steps and forum post reading.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We replaced out previous Cisco VOIP system to provide local extensions for our campus. We also tie in our emergency alert system. We were also looking into an emergency alter system for fire/weather/etc. We were able to find a system that implemented alongside 3cx to meet this need.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a solid VOIP system, 3CX is for you. Once setup, implementation has been smooth, and their sales/support team has provided us with everything that we need.

What do you like best about the product?
all encompassing tool. phone and conference
What do you dislike about the product?
chat groups could have better group options
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
replaced a our pbx, and our conference systems at a lower price point than either alone
Recommendations to others considering the product:
use the trial and test it and all of its features

Ease of Deployment

  • April 09, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
3CX is simple to configure and easy to use.
The user interface makes it straightforward and simple whilst still being powerful.

We've been deploying 3CX for our customer base for some time now and it's impressive with the variety of ways you can configure it.

3CX's support team are also very knowledgeable and happy to assist.

Makes remote working a breeze..
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting suite doesn't meet all customers requirements and could do with some improvements to better suit contact centres.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
3CX allows for remote working as a standard offering over a secure communication with the server.
The presence information available through the web client and soft phone applications really does make working with multiple staff in remote offices far easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great for ease of use.
There are a few 3rd parties that do integrations with their own software to leverage the offering although they can be expensive.

Often if you not sure on how to do something 3CX will be able to guide you through the process.
