Smart sheet has been a great tool for PM.
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use once you learn how. It is a place of "truth". It helps with resource management, finance management.
What do you dislike about the product?
When someone is double book it show this but no real detail is given. Would like to be able to click on the "redman" and go straight tothe double booking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows everyone in the company to see who has who scheduled where and for how long.

Easy to Use Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is easy to use and get accustomed to. I started using it about two years ago after joining my current organization and have been impressed by its capabilities. As someone who isn’t particularly tech-savvy or experienced with similar tools, I found the transition to Smartsheet to be smooth and straightforward. We've been able to streamline several internal processes by using it compared to other tools. I’m often pleasantly surprised by the additional features and offerings Smartsheet continues to introduce.
What do you dislike about the product?
While this is also a positive, I wish I were more aware of all the features the tool provides. Part of this is on me, as I could take more time to explore and learn about them on my own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to collaborate with other team members fairly seamlessly and get up to date, accurate information quickly as far as project updates and status.
My experience with Smartsheet is really good. I love to use this product to do my job.

The most helpful for me are automations.

unclear user manual, lack of proper introduction to all its possibilities

greater transparency of processes and what the current workload looks like, general ordering and the possibility of time planning

What do you like best about the product?
Its an incredible experience to work in smart sheet, also we can add the attachments here to avoid the time waste in checking the mails ...
What do you dislike about the product?
We can easily identify the multiple Warehouses requests in the single sheet. Also we can get the full details of the requests in single sheet.
But at the same time we need to request each and every time for adding the action owner name.. Better if it could be editable.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Eralier we have used MS Excel share folder for business related discussions but we cannot explore detailed data's in that, but now we can update multiple data in the single sheet. So its less time consuming one when compare to previous one.

Permissions for guest users (our clients) can get finiky some times

Customization Limitations: Some users may find customization options limited compared to other platforms, especially for creating highly specific workflows or views.
Dependency Management: Smartsheet offers basic task dependencies, but managing complex dependencies or project scheduling (e.g., Gantt charts) may not be as robust as other dedicated tools like Microsoft Project.

Ability to display information in sheet format with smart functionality. Customisable dashboard features.

Inability to pull together aesthetically pleasing consolidated 'to do' lists for team members. Limited integrations with other systems.

Capturing a project plan for management throughout the project. Allocation of tasks to relevant team members. Ability to share with clients. Customisable dashboards are helpful too.
Great tool for collaboration and project management
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and collaboration is top notch. It has some great pre-built templates that make it easy to get started, and it takes minimal effort to learn how to use it. For a project manager, it is the daily go to tool for keeping track of my projects while also keeping my clients informed of progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would not mind having the ability to archive old workspaces for projects that have been completed and no longer active. It would also be great if there was an easier way to bulk import MS Excel templates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with clients and each client has different project needs. They also need collaborative project management and clearly updates through the life of the project. Smartsheet allows me to do that through a centralised workspace that is easy to share and keep updated.
Simplifying business processes
What do you like best about the product?
We're using Smartsheets across the business- from Manufacturing to Sales and Administration. I love the Automated Notifications function, and the use of Smartsheet Forms that automatically populate the Smartsheet behind them. The functionality of Smartsheets to the business is limited by the user's imagination. Truly a great platform to use across multiple oparational departments! No complicated access matrices are required.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost per user licence is a little high, but it is offset by the great functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives visibility to previously unaccessible information (i.e. delivery schedules), it offers automated task prompts between departments, almost eliminating the need for physical document flows.
Smartsheet for Project Management and Surveys
What do you like best about the product?
I was looking for a tool to manage a very complex project with several workstreams over multple years with stakeholders across different companies in different regions, and Smartsheet provided the solution with added benefits. It was very intuitive, and I do not have a project management background. For example, I find Gantt charts to be difficult to create and manage in Excel, but Smartsheet makes it very simple to set up, with a dynamic view. It's easy to shift lines and create subcategories that collapse for easy viewing. I also appreciate the ability to attach documentation and integrate with Box, which provides an audit trail for completed milestones and deliverables. I utilize the reporting and dashboard feature to customize reports for different team members and stakeholders, whether it is upcoming tasks due or budget tracking, I can use high-level graphics or drill down to specific tasks during update calls. An unexpected feature that has proved very helpful is the ability to create dynamic surveys/questionnaires. With drop-down functionality, I can control the data received. There is also a field for file upload, and submitted files can be downloaded in batches, giving me the ability to collect hundreds of Excel spreadsheets for easier data review. Customer support was great when I had initial questions about functionality. In summary, this has become a tool that I use regularly.

I don't have any partcicular dislikes. I wish more of my colleagues had a license.
