The product offers its users the ability to review prototypes, along with an easy-to-use interface

  • January 04, 2024
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

The tool is used to create wireframes, grayscale, and high fidelity, but the major use case of the solution is related to the team's areas that manage user experience and UI design.

Basically, I just use the tool whenever I have to review some prototypes, designs, or wireframes, and apart from that, I don't create anything with the help of the product.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature of the solution for me stems from the fact that it revolves around the product's ability to let me review the prototypes since I am not a user of the tool. The tool's interface is easy to use. The functions listed as a part of the menu items are easy to use.

What needs improvement?

I have used the product on the cloud and the browser and found no issues with it.

The product's roadmap regarding introducing new features in the solution or new versions of the tool can be made better in the future.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have experience with the product.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

For me, it is a stable product, as I never faced issues with it.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

People create or design 1,000 to 2,000 screens, so it works well.

How are customer service and support?

I have never contacted the product's support team.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Previously, my company used to use Adobe InDesign or Adobe XD. My company switched to the current product that we use from the previous set of solutions owing to the ease of use that it provides and its cheap licensing cost compared to other tools in the market.

How was the initial setup?

No configuration is needed for the product since I just had to create my account to use it, and within 30 seconds, I could use it.

What other advice do I have?

It is a good tool for designers and those involved with the UX part. If you want to create rough, grayscale, high-fidelity prototypes, the product works well. Lately, I believe that the product has introduced an AI element that helps to ensure that you can do your job faster since it adds a layer of AI to create prototypes. With AI, the product's user just needs to dictate the terms, and it probably gives out a rough prototype from scratch.

The product is easy to use for even a person like me who doesn't know what to do in the designing part or how to operate the UX part. The product is also cheaper to use, and the tool always comes up with new features, like the AI feature.

I rate the overall tool a nine out of ten.

Sigma Computing is an easy to use but powerful embedded analytics platform

  • December 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to understand spreadsheet motif. Top notch technical support -- support in hours not days. Easy to integrate as an embedded app. Can create PDF's with granular control as well. Quick to implement. Connectors to all the common datasources. Our customers and us use it everyday.
What do you dislike about the product?
No integration with source control such as GitHub. No re-usable components -- e.g. a visualization you can create and use in multiple reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma allows us to provide our customers with key business intelligence including KPI's and actionable insights all embedded within our application.

Great spreadsheet like interface for BI

  • November 14, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's extremely easy for someone familiar with Excel to pick up and use. No need to be blocked by your data analytics resources or gated by tools that require use of SQL.
What do you dislike about the product?
The charts and vizualizations are sometimes slow and take a while to materialize. It may be annoying for end users if you don't optimize.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma is helping me solve the problem of getting access to data for general business users.

Easy to Learn

What do you like best about the product?
It was really easy to get started with Sigma. Their tutorial was simple and effective at helping me onboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
None that I have come across thus far. I still prefer using Excel due to my comfort level, but that's more out of habit than due to limitations that I've discovered with Sigma
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data Analysis

Amazing dashboarding software, especially for real-time use cases and mobile

  • September 14, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We switched from Tableau to Sigma because its superior real-time dashboarding capabilities. It integrates well with both Databricks and PostGreSQL Databases (We use both on Azure but other clouds are supported). Additionally, it's easy to develop with and distribute to your end users. Lastly, the mobile development feature makes it easy to develop mobile as well as web applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that it has this annoying blue bar that runs across the top of each of your objects when it updates that you cannot hide. That's the biggest thing they can change to improve it. Other than that, it's excellent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma helps us develop and deploy real-time dashboards to both the web and mobile devices. It lets our users track and monitor the stock market performance of our portfolio in near real-time, and also lets them see analytics they use to make trading decisions.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that sigma allows us to display complex data in a meaningful way that is easy to understand for our clients as well as our coworkers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular comes to mind except the lack of ability to download an entire table as a PDF unless displayed fully.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma is helping us identify key areas of business to focus on and improving our ability to recognize and combat issues as they arise.

Promising up & coming tool

  • August 17, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
-Many user friendly features. No tool has it all or is completely perfect, but Sigma has a lot of great QOL features that make it relatively intuitive and seamless to use.

-Evolving product that seems open to listening to the needs of their customers. I like that they take suggestions for new features and they seem to care about growing the product and continuing to add functionality.

-ABOVE ALL ELSE: Fast and efficient customer support chat. I've barely looked at any Sigma documentation in the couple of months since I've started using the product. Why? Because I just open the chat, throw the question into the void, and often get my question completely resolved in under 2 minutes (the chat folks seem to try to respond in under 15-30 seconds). This has been HUGE in making the transition from my company's current BI tool to Sigma and I feel so much better and at ease about the process because I know the chat agents always have my back. The agents are all really friendly and I genuinely enjoy my interactions with them.
What do you dislike about the product?
-Maybe not a fully mature product yet. It's got a lot of really well thought out features and design aspects, but is sometimes missing random simple things like a row number indicator like you'd see in an Excel or Google Sheet.

-Very Excel/Sheets centric. As an analyst who comes from a background of doing everything in SQL and writing hundreds of lines of SQL a week, I'd say that the product is not necessarily designed entirely for my particular preferences and background; not a true negative point, just a personal preference thing. I can still find plenty of ways to get what I want done, but I do have to adjust my mindset and approach a bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are migrating off of our current BI tool and onto Sigma. Both our analysts and our business stakeholders need to be able to address their data needs, whether it is something more technical like writing SQL to perform ad-hoc explorations in our data warehouse, or use a dashboard to look at monthly figures or obtain customer lists. Sigma helps provide these functionalities and is a convenient tool to both the technical and non technical users.

Sigma Elements and Layout

  • August 16, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the new layout feature. It's gives a lot of flexibility in terms of sizing elements and adjusting spacing between elements.

I also love the new KPI feature
What do you dislike about the product?
Spacing constrictions:
I wish I could set the margin for my workbooks instead of small, large & full
As much as I love the grid, I would love to adjust the grid size myself

Font flexibility:
Inside elements I can adjust the font size at a pixel level but for text elements I have very limited options.
Is there a way to set heading, para sizes as part of the theme?

Adding formula to text within elements:
When I add text to charts/KPIs I would like to include a formula in the title name like I do when I add text to the pages.

Would be nice to have tooltips instead of adding text to provide context to different sections on a page (wastes page real estate)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping our clients without their own data teams answer important questions using our dashbaords

Sigma makes self service data product possible

  • August 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The export functionality is the best among all BI tools. The ability to export to different destinations is very helpful to get the report out to different stakeholders both internal and external. And it allows to share data easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
High price tag. Hi base platform fee would turn some small business away. Some functions are not working properly when they first release them. It's kinda annoying after you invest time to incorporate the new features and realize there's a bug on Sigma's side
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Self-Service Analytics

the load time for dashboard helped user to utilize dashboards more often and improved user experience compare to Tableau. The easy way to export underlying data to google sheet allow business user to do more in-depth Analysis without reaching out to data teamfor some more technical user, we can just give them prepared dataset, and they can explore by themselves.

We are also able to provide reports to external clients

Good online collaborative data visualization tool

  • August 08, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The design of Sigma is very easy to navigate and quick to learn how to make charts. The support team is the best for all business vendors we have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can have more tutorials and guides on the website to help us learn about the tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborative data visualization. Easy to manage workspace and sharing dashboards across the company
