Great for quick data analysis and dashboarding
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to learn user interface that is very similar to Excel. Connects to numerous data sources and visualizations look great!
What do you dislike about the product?
A newer product that does not have as large of a community as some of the other more common BI tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For my use case, Sigma makes it easy to discover data quality issues that might lead to bad information being surfaced to out users.
Powerful data analysis tool for non-technical users
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a non-technical PM. Sigma has a relatively moderate learning curve (a few hours), but once you get the hang of it there's a definite 80/20 rule where a few basics will take you far and help you unlock the power to create advanced reports. For 99% of reports, it replaces the need to write SQL (you still can if you want).
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating dashboards can be fiddly. They have a folder system, but managing existing reports can quickly get out of hand. Playing around with an existing report requires you to create a new one, leaving hundreds of temporarily used saved reports in my wake.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analysis of business data and product usage data.
We also used their embedded feature to embed Sigma reports inside our customer-facing application, which saved us the work of building a reporting feature ourselves.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and easy to teach. It's very intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product is just starting to come into maturity. However, I've been a Sigma user since the very beginning (or close to it), so it can be hard to keep up with the changes/additions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We just needed more visibility into our internal activities and understanding what activities drive revenue growth. It has also allowed us to better understand the efficacy of our operational improvements.

Working in the Spreadsheet tables of Sigma.

Searching for Features on Visualization.

Great Tool and so easy use
What do you like best about the product?
It's very user-friendly and you don't need to know SQL etc, to build complex reports and gain great insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
no complaints so far. They have great support too that helps with troubleshooting.

Gaining more insight into our customer, defining key metrics, building dashboards, running quick querries for quick answers
Sigma is one of the great new business tools
What do you like best about the product?
Sigma is incredibly user friendly. Anyone who uses Excel should be able to pick it up very quickly. They also have great tutorials and webinars.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything I currently dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma has helped speed up our reporting and data analysis being able to process thousands of lines of data incredibly fast from Snowflake.
After thorough exploration, sigma is the best tool for creating order from a chaos of data inputs.
What do you like best about the product?
Sigma is like Excel completely reimagined from the ground up and specifically built for business intelligence. It does things you can't in Airtable, Google Sheets, or Tableau in a way that is very intentional and focused.
What do you dislike about the product?
The act of actually getting everything set up could be improved, and part of this involves Sigma partnering with more companies to smooth this process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through Sigma we can create a unified marketing funnel, which can't be said for really anywhere else. Even the ability to simply unify shopify, email, facebook, and google alone would be enough to make it worth it.

What do you like best about the product?
UI is exceptional, very easy to use, intuitive. For smaller datasets it's a great quick and dirty solution for quick analysis and calculations. Joins are extremely easy and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Main downside is computing power, very common to have timeouts for larger datasets. Wish it was easier to organize and you could see a folder tree like Box and other content management solutions. Adding in AI capabilities would be pretty incredible. The excel export limit is often quite limiting and would be great if it could be expanded. An easier help suggestions for formula suggestions would be great as well (in product, not just in the community section).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multiple table joins without sql knowledge, it allows me to self serve a lot of data request analysis. I Really enjoy the column calculations/easy visulizations all in one place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the trainings, they really help. Create custom tables in snowflake and then do the data analysis in sigma if required.

Usability with an interface that feels natural. No client side data processing, let my big dog (Snowflake) do the heavy lifting.

No click to filter abilities when visualizing and displaying table data
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Self-service data access, reporting and analytics. We have been able to strategically de-centralize our reporting and analysis processes.

I love how easy it is to navigate Sigma and find exactly what you're looking for.

There isn't anything specific that I don't like about Sigma.

I am able to see business impacting statistics that ensure I am doing my job effectively.
