Sigma to the rescue
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use. The Excel interface makes it comfortable and natural for someone with an accounting background
What do you dislike about the product?
Load times tend to be slower than I'm used to from other products
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me find insights into our data. It makes me better at my job.
Sigma's Dashboard Configuration is Best in Class
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how interactive reports in sigma are. Being able to drill down on a specific graph and see the data behind it is incredibly helpful. I use this almost every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the pages can take a while to load and time out occasionally. I'm sure this is partially due to large datasets, but still could use some work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma helps me find out where users who perform key actions on our site are coming from, and visualizing the journey that got them there.
Enterprise Level Analytics Iteration
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly iterate on analytics reports and analysis for both internal and external use cases. Nothing gets customers more motivated than seeing quick turnaround with feedback against their data. Iterating directly in native applications can take multiple sprints to complete, and by that time you've lost the valuable customer interest and engagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
To my knowledge you can't create custom visuals to drop into sigma. For our use case however once we hit a mature level with reports and views thats the trigger to devlop in house directly in the application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma allows enterprise level visibility against data warehouse solutions. It also lets us quickly embed analytics and iterate with external customers while we develop. Without this we would have to build static presentations to discus with customers and lose the benefit of live interactive engagement. Internally training business users to query against databases is not maintainable. Sigma allows them to self service to a degree and takes a load off the data engineering teams shoulders.
Recent Product Development is a Hit! Tremendous Impact to our Business
What do you like best about the product?
As someone who has used Sigma daily for 2.5 years, the product development in the last 6 months has made such a huge difference to our organization's data. We appreciate being able to write SQL, execute queries, and create visualizations in one platform. Funny enough the Column Details and being able to search the Column names is also super helpful. Huge fans of the new updates (tabbed containers, modals, custom context menus, etc.). Even the new feature of changing the # type in the top left saves us tremendous amounts of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the last 6 months, datasets are now buggy and you are unable to write without getting kicked from the query. When I brought this up on a demo, I was told "who uses datasets anymore" which led to a distrust. A lot of our historic dashboards rely on datasets and it makes editing / modifying queries near impossible. I have to do everything in the Explore mode and copy/paste over. We have reported it countless times over the last few months but have gotten no updates or current workarounds.
The pop-up prompting the user to choose a Data Model instead of a Dataset was confusing at first. It took me months to finally try Data Models since its documentation did not provide a clear translation for how it is meant to "replace" datasets. The Metrics are a good idea, but time consuming to set up compared to writing the equations in the workbook itself.
We are looking to embed a Sigma dashboard in our mobile app but are running into restrictions with Sigma. Can't hide the bottom toolbar, can't turn off export functionality, etc.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The recent product developments are allowing us to analyze data & provide actionable, easy-to-digest dashboards for our customers. We will rely more on Sigma embeds in place of engineering efforts due to the ease of use & flexibility to publish and immediately update in our platform.
Legacy is Legit
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, intuitive. Fast. Information flows well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very few downsides. Would maybe prefer a different color profile.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A place to house our data and update data accordingly.
Easy to use with great insights
What do you like best about the product?
Sigma Computing has completely transformed the way our team works with data. As someone who’s worked with everything from Excel to traditional BI tools, Sigma hits the sweet spot between usability and power.
The biggest win? Real-time data exploration without needing to write SQL. Our business users can self-serve insights without constantly going back and forth with analysts. At the same time, power users can drop into SQL or use formulas for advanced use cases. The spreadsheet-like interface feels familiar but is deeply connected to our cloud data warehouse, which means we’re always working with fresh data.
Collaboration is another standout feature. We can easily build dashboards, share live reports, and annotate insights in a way that actually drives decisions—not just pretty charts sitting on a shelf.
What I like most:
Intuitive UI with powerful functionality
Real-time connection to Snowflake (and other cloud warehouses)
Enables non-technical users to explore data safely
Fast performance even with large datasets
Great version control and collaboration tools
What could be improved:
Some advanced visualization features are still catching up to competitors
Would love even tighter integrations with other tools in our stack (e.g., Slack, Notion)
Bottom line:
If your company is serious about being data-driven, Sigma is a must-have. It bridges the gap between data teams and business users better than any tool we’ve used.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Sigma is strong on accessibility and live data connections, the interface can feel clunky at times, especially with large datasets. Performance occasionally lags when working with complex joins or large tables. Also, some basic features—like custom visualizations or more flexible formatting—are limited compared to more mature BI tools. Lastly, versioning and change tracking could be more intuitive; it’s sometimes hard to tell what changed or who made edits in shared workbooks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to track SQLs and seeing patterns that allow me to optimize our demand gen.
Best BI tool I've used!
What do you like best about the product?
Sigma is the most intuitive and flexible BI tool I’ve worked with. The spreadsheet-like interface lowers the barrier for non-technical users, while SQL compatibility and CTE support give analysts like me the power to dig deep. I also appreciate how seamlessly it integrates with our cloud data warehouse—no more worrying about data pipelines or stale dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the custom visual tweaks are limited, which is mildly annoying for aesthetics, but I only make dashboards that are internal to the company (not for customers), so it's not a huge blocker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma helps me gather the data in one place to answer the big business questions that I just can't get to in a product analytics tool. I LOVE the way it sits on top of our data warehouse (Snowflake) - it makes it so much easier to create massive datasets and analyze them in a way that's consumable for a wide audience. The team at Sigma has also partnered with my team at Snowflake to help me get the most out of the tool - as the solo analyst at my company, the help is SO appreciated! Instead of being limited to product events and analytics, I can bring in data from our entire company across sales, marketing, finance, product, etc.
Great software for understanding key metrics
What do you like best about the product?
Aeshtetically sigma is nice to use, and functions well.
What do you dislike about the product?
everything works well except a little trouble getting logged in on a mobile device, but once sorted works flawlessly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy access to important key data and metrics across my team, as well as data for the company.
Great place for information
What do you like best about the product?
I can compare numbers and KPI from across many departments
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a little slow and glitchy at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a place that we keep all of our numbers for quick and easy comparison.
I use Sigma boards every day for my job as a fraud investigator. It is invaluable to our company.
What do you like best about the product?
I find it to be very user friendly. I use it every day. Our engineers have built out some amazing boards on Sigma and I couldn't do my job without the data that is provided to me on the various Sigma boards.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not encountered anything negative in my experience using Sigma boards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a fraud prevention investigator for a medium sized tech company. I use Sigma every day and rely on the data that it provides me in preventing and combatting fraud.
