Great Platform with a Great Team

  • February 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
If you’re in Snowflake, Sigma is a must. It has some top notch features that leverages Snowflake like no other platform I’ve used.

Biggest strengths are…

It’s so intuitive to use that it really solves the “Self-Service Analytics” need of a company. New users can navigate and build with little to no training, plus the lite license allows you to deploy without any hassle. The dashboard building is simplified so that you can build easily without sacrificing quality or aesthetics.

The team at Sigma. They are amazing at making themselves available to address issues and work with you on building out different use-cases for providing value to others in your organization. They truly become a partner for you during your development and deployment early on.

The rapid development of new features is also a huge strength. New features are constantly getting pushed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I dislike specifically but I think they really need a module to integrate scripting. The ability to integrate Python scripting within data models or dashboards would really take it to the next level. This could be awesome for data manipulation and some more advanced analytics.

Also, the mapping utilizes Mapbox which I’m not a huge fan of. I really wish it could integrate layers and the use of multiple shapefiles.

I do also wish it had a few more options on the visualizations. I think there are some additional options could really set it apart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of access to our Snowflake warehouse. It creates a window to our data that allows users to access, interact with, and utilize for analytics without having to give them access to the actual warehouse.

The reporting feature and the write back feature are addressing several needs for data collection and triggered reports for users.

Best Data Visualization Tool, Hands Down

  • February 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sigma makes data visualization super easy. The way it integrates spreadsheet-like features is unique and makes it very easy to train new users. Their support is top-notch as well, with response times being sub-1 minute. We've been able to solve a lot of unique issues using Sigma that we haven't been able to before
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability for Lite users to simply export a workbook isn't ideal. They make it difficult for Lite users to fully utilize dashboards (not talking explore) without needing Essential or Pro functionality. We've switched at least 3 account managers within the past year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Self-serve data analytics at scale. Single pane of glass into data from multiple systems. Surfacing data to customers.

Easy to pull data and create custom dashboards!

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
User friendly, and very easy to navigate and pull data in a presentable form.
What do you dislike about the product?
The time it takes data to refresh or pull can be extremely long with the amount of data that is loaded into Sigma.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma is pulling data for multiple sales leaders in a very organized fashion. I was utilizing a handful of manual reports prior to Sigma which houses everything together.

Useful and handy - may take some training to utilize fully

  • February 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's basically as useful as you know how to make it. If you can make charts and graphs in excel, you can use Sigma.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've been limited by the fact that you have to use everything in a column way, rather than having the option to use subtotals or sums the way you can in Excel. I'm not saying it should always be structured the same, but having more flexibility in how the charts tally would be really useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to have set settings for reporting that update dynamically with daily changes to the data warehouse has made a huge difference in our reporting.

What do you like best about the product?
It's a cool product from what my Data Analytics team tells me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't use it really myself so I can't speak to this too much, but I hear the UI can use some work

Data Dashboard for all Data around our site.

Quick to get started

  • February 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's quick to get started and easy to use with its spreadsheet-like interface. There's a lot of flexibility in governance, setting up workspaces for different teams, and managing permissions across users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Functionality restrictions locked behind higher priced licenses. There are cumbersome workarounds that should just be available for the base tier like exporting data. Any user can copy/paste data from a table in Sigma into another tool, but they're not able to get an export button unless they're on a higher license tier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's more scalable and faster than our previous solution, allowing us to innovate quicker and deliver more analytics to more users and clients. Other team members with less data and analytics experience are able to leverage it with ease.
