Good product

  • September 19, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Druva was much easier to work with than their competitor Code42. They have a strong product that is fairly easy to administer once it is in place. Pricing was also much better than Code42.
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuration is not as polished as other backup and recovery applications such as Veeam. Integration with AzureAD doesn't work very well, user management and device replacement can be a chore. I ran into multiple issues due to their knowledgebase either being out of date or confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Once Druva inSync is in place, it can be a set it and forget it application. It will run in the background and if you ever need to restore something, a backup will be available. We love the enterprise search functionality and the ability to restore from anywhere with a web browser.

What do you like best about the product?
Druva is fairly slick, and easy to install. However that being the case there is very little to troubleshoot when something is not working right
What do you dislike about the product?
Very little detailed information about issues
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Endpoint backup

Easy and flexible backup to the cloud

  • September 19, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Deployment is incredibly easy. The platform did not take long to implement at all.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some options need more configurability. It is in some respects oversimplified and I'd like more tunability in some aspects of the tools available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am ridding myself of the risk of "on premise" or "near premise" backups. Benefits immediately realised are super simple restoration and easy to use recovery interfaces when I needed it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is one of the easiest and most readily deployable tools on the market for this task. It is a new generation of backup tech and is "done right".

What do you like best about the product?
No longer having to use tapes or hard drives for backup and then take off-site for security purposes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have had some issues with file restoration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backing up multiple locations to a single location. Fast backup and recovery and data deduplication.

Very easy to deploy and use

  • September 19, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Druva is a very easy to use and deploy backup system. In its console you have every that you need to schedule and perform your backups
What do you dislike about the product?
If you have one user in one Druva tenant you can't create a user with the same email in another tenant. This is annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now we don't need to have big backup servers on premise. Every data is safe in Druva.

What do you like best about the product?
Simple install and setup. We had it up within a day or so. We did most of it ourself, but support was helpful where needed. Great product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting could be a little more robust.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy backups. We feel more in control of our backups and enjoy the interface.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do it. They are soo simple and cheap.

Druva inSync - Set it and forget it workstation user profile data backups

  • September 19, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
You don't have to think about using it. It just works!
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a knock on the product, but:
Admins can lock down throttling and areas/file types. Some people want to turn up their throttles on home networks to speed up backups, but need to engage support if locked down. Image types have same issue when the business doesn't include them but you use them for business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Preventing data loss for files not on the network. I've swapped laptops and had all of my data automatically download after logon!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure your solution can act like Druva with a set-it-and-forget-it style service for your end users.

Self explanatory/easy for our users and administrator portal is easy to use
What do you dislike about the product?
User interface. Seems out dated. Wish the look was updated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Changed backup solution from Backupify to InSync and it's easier to use and restore for our users.

Druva inSync is relatively easy to use and easy to set up

  • September 19, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is for end users to manage Druva inSync. They can very quickly designate which folders they would like backed up.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process for reusing licenses for outboarded employees is kind of clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backups! The ease of mind it gives our users is priceless.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Druva inSync is definitely worth considering if you are looking for a cloud-based back up solution.

Best in the Industry for Backup devices for business continuity

  • September 19, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Best for SMB and Large Enterprises also . Easy to install, deploy and manage policies.
After using this we don;t need to think that we need something else. enablement of different profiles , admin profiles, alerts on restores , transparency. ad intergration..
What do you dislike about the product?
users getting inactive . compatibility with windows 10 services is not good as usually it is said that this is issue of MS VSS . Processing time high for backup upload slows down system.
Not AI based don't learn from user usage to complete the backup in smooth user experience way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Access to data in case of device breakdown or deleted by mistake. retain data on server instead of archiving the device. need not to waste lot of time in recovering data from bit locker encrypted , windows crashed or data loss on device stolen.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Druva's on premise solution is good but everyone should go for cloud . As everyone know cloud is cheap for long term use.
