Overall a great backup solution

  • May 13, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Druva does everything we need. We use it to back up all of our endpoints. It's not too difficult to administer, and our backups are stored securely in the cloud - eliminating the need for tapes, which was a big win for us. We also can control backup schedules, legal holds, and other settings via policies. The regular reporting and alerting capabilities help our teams address issues as they arise, which helps ensure all backups are working correctly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a small DLP component with Druva, but I think there is an opportunity to use the Druva agent for a more comprehensive DLP reporting capability. The agent is aware of all of the file activity on the endpoint, I would imagine, so why not have better reporting on the file movement and where files are moving? Alerting around this would be helpful as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem we solved was not having an easy to manage, automated solution for backing up our endpoints. Druva's capabilities also give us assurance around the integrity and security of our backup sets.

Endpoint protection made easy

  • May 13, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Once configured backups are reliable and automatic. No need to constantly monitor if they're working. Restores are simple enough for clients to do by themselves. Product support is excellent, they're able to resolve issues quickly and rarely have to wait on a technician. Reports can be easily generated to show success and failure of key devices. Ties into our active directory environment to sync accounts and passwords over easily and eliminates neeed to manually manage password changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Admin interface could be updated to make things easier to use. Not super intuitive. Since i'm not in the console every day I sometimes find myself hunting around to find where to do things like update policies, change retention add users. Most clients require backups of the non standard folders that are included, would be nice to have a predefined method to do the entire disk minus the system files and program files. Would also be nice to have a way to do an "image" backup of certain devices so that they can be 100% recovered in the event they are lost/stolen or corrupted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reliable on and off campus endpoint backups. A number of staff are working remotely or off network and require regular backups. We couldn't do this with our enterprise backup and enjoy cloud storage and replication of the backup data. Historically we have used druva to recover data from laptops that are lost or stolen with the occasional need to recover indivicual files.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We were previously an on premise druva customer that moved to the druva hosted model. Leveraging their cloud platform has been awelcome change for us as it removes the large onsite storage needs along with the requirement to have a secondary offsite copy. Once setup this product is easy to use and requires very minimal administration other than adding in new backup clients. We looked at other solutions but Druva best met our needs. We have been a druva customer for a number of years and their support and features have been excellent.

What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup is kind of a pain and getting around the learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I initially setup druva, I had set it up to backup a log file. Unknowingly I created a huge problem for our backups as they were getting too large to maintain.

What do you like best about the product?
inSync takes very little time to configure and launch, but the benefit is immediate with the peace of mind you get knowing your 365 infrastructure has a backup.
What do you dislike about the product?
The emails from the inSync platform are almost impossible to read and very clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to ensure our data was secure in case of accidental deletion.

An additional benefit of inSync is that it allows us to easily backup and restore entire SharePoint sites to other locations with ease.

Druva inSync does exactly what it says it does

  • May 11, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
inSync is a "set it and forget it" piece of software.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an Admin, the daily reporting emails can be overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
inSync is a second layer of security for us. We have used it to recover data that users have saved in non-default (not auto-backed-up) locations.

Can be CPU intensive at times is lots of data is backing up. It does not handle Application data as well as I would like.

Important tool to backup data.

  • January 18, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The Druva InSync lets our subscribers easily back up their files with a simple screen. It is also an application for "download as closely as forgotten" and therefore there are no mistakes or problems in ordinary circumstances. I never have to watch for a database or perchance customer status for control applications. It's one of the favorite features.
What do you dislike about the product?
When handling a backup, several users reported problems with high CPUs. We could not find the appropriate entries to discover the root object of the CPU problem after evaluating their PCS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In reality, Druva was an important tool to back up the data of your users to a single server. It also helps you to determine whether to encrypt the data of each user. This provides a straightforward security policy environment between the organization and the customer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In local situations, this is a productive system and works painlessly. However, I recommend you use OneDrive as a backup PC User in the event that you are only one of your Office365 customers. Solutions for data processing. You have to worry about your WAN's entire bandwidth because it uses an expression of it.

Avoid data loss in your business.

  • January 07, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
However, to the previous version, we have a stable program. I like the changes introduced in brand-new modification. Part of MAPI is enhanced and may still be stable in the MS Office 2016, as well as redesign of the administrative screen. Pragmatism. The end user is still willing to assist you in IT programs, which is genuinely trustworthy in risk management. Methods of replication are beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be no regulation on these papers. There is a gap between adding and upgrading initiatives. This is a significant problem in the management of events, especially in the InSync file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most important business challenge is actually avoiding data loss. Users can also remotely use their data through a Web interface, an actual benefit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In local circumstances this is a truly helpful tool and operates without any pain. Nevertheless, I recommend consuming OneDrive as a backup pc user if you are truly one of the Office365 clients! Solutions for data processing. You must think of your WAN's entire bandwidth as it uses one part of it.
